hey i tried that too but my phone wasnt detected in odin i tried in another pc though it wasnt detected i tried other usb cable though it didnt worked so how could i flash a rom dude anyways thanks for replying i appreciate it :good:

Hi Guys,
I hope I've posted in the right place. I am basically noob in installing custom firmware and I wanted to try it anyway with no experience.
Bootloader unlocking successful.
I flashed recovery-nozomi.img using cmd commands without realizing that I didn't have the custom rom saved in my xperia s. So I am stock in recovery mode with no idea what to do next even just to go back in normal mode. Please help I am really a newbie in installing custom ROM. Any process with be gladly appreciated since I just want to go back to normal mode if I can't install any custom ROM.
Build no.75 that's all I remember about my phone since I just bought this yesterday.
I'm in the Philippines and this a generic version if that helps.
Any help will be gladly appreciated or will even give a donation.

I tried to unroot it via odin but when it was 0n 90% it said something like hidden and after that it said failed

is it too hard for you to write out the firmware you are trying to flash, your phone's model no etc?

what is the window version u have on ur PC is it XP or win7?
If windows XP then try with a PC having Windows 7 software and see

that's why i said you should post the details of the files you're trying to flash, then someone will help you check if you have the right files or not.
You can also post the link of where you got the files.
BTW, are you sure you killed kies in task manager before flashing?

go to www.sammobile.com and dwnld the stock ICS v4.0.3 firmware pertained to ur region for I9100(i presume thats ur Model) and flash the same thro 'ODIN' with a pc having win7 and see

Install Kies or your phones Samsung USB Drivers then Odin will recognize it
Connect and Flash stock firmware via Odin

Windows may take many attempts in recognition of drivers. Try installing and rebooting PC
If it doesn't work, try another port
If it fails, then you would have to use any other PC

Hello people I have purchased this phone in Panama City and I was trying to find a method to root it. Unfortunatelly I have not found any valid methods because I am unable to connect this device to my computer using the usb cable. Have anybody been successful to achieve this!? If so, please share the drivers that would work for this device.

What happens exactly when you connect your phone to your computer? What operating system does your computer use?

I have tried windows xp and windows 7. When I connect the usb it gives me the notification of usb connected as charger. If I tap on that then it allowes me to connect as media device (like camera) and something else that I do not remember now. My phone has JB 4.3 and the usb debug mode is turned on already.

To get yr phone connected to pc all you need is to install KIES since your pc can't auto detect and auto upload driver .

Yes, Kies should be able to fetch the drivers.

I have the original cable and a generic usb cord. I have tried different computes with windows xp and 7.
I have tried all that "basic troubleshooting" but none of that seem to work.

Ya i also think his phone port is faulty as he have tried kies changing pc & etc .if the same pc /cable can detect other phones
then i suspect its the phone .

I dont think so... because the phone then would not charge... It charges well and also it gives me the options to go in file sharing mode, charge only and other mode more for the usb connection. The computers detect the unknown device when i connect it to pc. SOMEBODY THAT HAS PURCHASED THIS PHONE needs to confirm if the drivers actually exist since samsung website does not have any information either.
Return to the store where you bought it and ask them for either help or a refund. Your phone is quite new on the market and should be covered by some sort of warranty.

Bro First you have to flash this Firmware to make it work again:
G318MZDXU0AOG1_OLC0AOG1_Southeast_Asia_4.4.4
And after it is running you can Test this Prerooted Firmware:
G318MZDXU0AOG1_Prerooted_Firmware_v4.4.4
Please Test and Share the Result as this will help many people

thanks for the reply! I'm downloading the firmwares right now.
Updated: above links works with Samsung Galaxy V Plus perfectly tho i havent tried the prerooted firmware.
but earlier I was able to download one that is working but the problem is the touch seems to be being disabled. the phone doesnt freeze I tried using the volume and it works it just that the touch doesnt work.
The pre rooted firmware does it working? Sorry for bad english
