[Q] Huawei Ascend P7 stops applications - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm having this rather strange problem with my Huawei Ascend P7 (running Android 4.4.2). I recently updated the system software to the new version P7-L10V100R001C00B609 which brought the new EMUI 3.0.
After the update my phone somehow stops or pauses apps. It doesn't close them, just stops. Most annoying of these is the keyboard which disapperas when I'm in the middle of writing something. I can't write a full sentence without the keyboard disappearing and me having to tap the screen to bring it back up.
When I try to listen new ringtones using Zedge for example, phone often stops the music. I also tried watching Youtube videos and the phone pauses the video several times in a minute so watching videos is pretty much impossible.
So far I've tried to disable all the power saving settings and reset the phone to the default factory state but neither of those worked and now I just don't know what to do anymore.
I rooted the phone while still using the later system version (can't remember the exact version number) and after updating the system the root permission still remained.
I can't seem to find anyone with a similar problem with this phone. Does anyone here possible have some kind of idea what might be going on with my phone?

Please HELP with sound problem (logcat attached)!

My audio randomly drops out and requires a reboot to clear. All audio is silenced. For example, pressing the volume buttons do not beep. It happens randomly, but most often after a reboot.
Tonight I was able to reproduce the problem fairly consistently so I was able to get a logcat (attached) of the issue. I was using Rockplayer v1.5.5 with hardware decoding. I don't think Rockplayer is the issue because the problem has happened with other programs, like Angry Birds.
I am not an expert but I see lines like "W/AudioTrack( 927): obtainBuffer timed out (is the CPU pegged?) 0x21a528 user=00033b2a," when the issue occurs. When everything is working normally, these entries are not there. I trimmed the log file to meet the size limitations. I have the whole file if needed. Please help!!!

Moved to general
I will try and post a logcat the next time mine does it.
I'm having the same problem. I can hear sound whenever i startup the tablet, but after a while (sometimes it can be less than 1 min sometimes after 5 hours) the sound stops and i only get static noise or no sound at all. Whenever that happens, in the android log appears the following lines repeatedly (with a frequency of 1 sec):
W/AudioTrack( ####): obtainBuffer timed out (is the CPU pegged?) 0x##### user=00######, server=00######
I've tried changing ROMs without success in solving this problem, now i'm using TNTL v4.4.0.
The bug triggers while i'm using sound (games/watching videos on youtube/playng music on winamp/ pressing the battery button on the status bar, triggering that "click" noise).
When this bug is triggered, i get FC from some apps that use sound (Youtube / Winamp / some games)...
Rebooting the tablet fixes the problem untill it triggers again
i've been using adb logcat several times with this problem and the only correlation between the logs is the line described above, i've tried searching on google, but the results i get are for cellphones or pre 2.2 devices... in one of them, they interpret it as a kernel problem (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=6280968)...
Any help is appreciated.
Same thing here on one of the woot tablets running Vegan 5.1. 1. Usually happens after coming back from sleep. I asked for a replacement and the new tablet will be here tomorrow.
I really hope this is a hardware problem and not caused by a rom or app. Still interested in finding out what causes this, so I won't have this happen again with my new tab. Did anyone have this issue with the stock rom? Are these all recently bought tablets? I didn't spend enough time with stock to encounter sound problems.
I've been toying around with my tablet to see what is causing the problem, so i started by Flashing all over to stock to find out if at some point the sound problem stops... well... here are my results untill now:
Started at TNTL 4.4.0, Many apps installed and the sound problem appears constantly and is triggered easily. Before starting I backed up everything using Titanium Backup xD.
Part 1: Format + NVFlash to "belkit 1105" + Factory Reset: Problem Still Arround, took me about 3 reboots and 7 minutes to reproduce it by playing a song and randomly click on the battery/wifi/notification buttons with the sound of those buttons turned on.
Part 2: Updated to "stock 3588" (couldn't do it through OTA because it sayed that my tablet was up to date... so I downloaded the update from the NVFlash guide and installed using this guide from the internal SD. It didn't work, it took me about 5 minutes to reproduce the error, no rebooting .
Part 3: Settings > Security > Factory Reset: ... still haven't been able to reproduce the error, i've rebooted it about 7 times and listened music for 3 hours, eventually clicking on the notification/battery/wifi buttons and it seems to work fine... at least this is a checkpoint for me
It would be great if someone with the same problem could confirm that this works, i'm going to leave my tablet playing music during the night just to be sure :9.
Oh, JIC I bought my tablet on 27 Feb from J&R Electronics Inc through Amazon.
I'm having the same problem with mine in fact I have the tablet sitting next to me and the thing just went all static and freaked the cat out and woke my wife up not exactly cool when your in bed! I may have to look into exchanging or return it! I would hate to be at work or somewhere else and have it freak out like that! It's annoying!
I'm having the same problem, I lost all sound once I upgraded to Vegan Tab Ginger. Downgrading, or any changes doesn't do anything
I have a similar issue. I installed Cyanogenmod 7.0.3 and my sound mysteriously goes away. I can easily repeat it by putting the table to sleep and then waking it up. Sometimes, you can hear some static before it goes out.
I discussed this with Gojimi long time ago, but, I dont remember, I think the issue got lost with time. Still happens though

[Q] Android Virus or Harware - Home-back-menu button donot respond anymore!

Need Help: Unfortunately my UMI X2 turbo back/home/menu buttons no more responds. It first started as if someone is pressing back/home/menu in a slow pace but gradually increase the speed and the phone become almost unusable. I suspected that it was a virus. Cozy when I scan with kaspersky it detected 2 treads one file name I remember something like "com.android.cavis...." was successfully deleted by antivirus. I feel that removing the virus fix the issue at first coz it was working perfectly for sometime then it started again. Everytime I full scan after that symptom i got 2 treats everytime I scan. Other antivirus didn't detect anything AVG and AVAST. The problem got worse after one day from the start of symptom, those buttons no longer responds but all other things works like incoming calls and outgoing and playing music without any lag. Symptoms also includes the entire screen do not respond on touch for few seconds but it did not effect on the open application that is music plays smoothly even when it don't respond anything on touch screen. So I did the factory reset and the buttons works for a while and again back to same situation. Did factory reset by erasing the phone, Same it works for a while a back to same situation. Even now sometimes the buttons came back on but it automatically press by itself that can't operate when it happens.
Now I am Confused whether its possible by virus? Coz I have done the factory reset.
Or is there a way to completely format and reinstall the OS and how?
I used ROM MANAGER to tried to flash with some ROM downloaded from needrom.com but it did not seem to flash got "command error".
I don't know whether it has anything to do with it but the kaspersky I used was downloaded from torrent sites and it seems to be working fine.
Any helpful suggestion will be greatly appreciated!

[Q] SGS3 with Android 4.1.2 "sort of" freezes randomly

Hi,
Since a week or so now, my Samsung Galaxy S3 with a rooted Android 4.1.2 "sort of" freezes randomly. And with "sort of" I mean that animations and such (can) keep running, it just doesn't respond to any kind of imput anymore. I had it freeze on a youtube video, but the video kept playing till it was done (but it didn't continue like it would afterwards, so the process definitely froze too).
I have no clue what sets it off. I've had it freeze while using navigation, while browsing, while typing, while taking a photo, while turning the screen off (it will just stay on forever), anything. Sometimes it freezes 5 times in 5 minutes, sometimes it freezes only once a day. In all cases, the only way to get it back to life is by taking the battery out and putting it back. Waiting doesn't do anything.
I thought it might be a memory card problem, but I unmounted the card and got the problem again just now.
I figured I'd download an app that writes logfiles to see what is happening, but all those programs don't work anymore with the current version, due to that the programs only have access to their own logs now.
Does anyone have a clue to what might cause this, or a way to troubleshoot further and try and find the solution?
Thanks!

[Solved] [Q] LG G2 mini problems after OTA update to KOT49I.A1403689895

Hi
My LG G2 mini is acting a bit weird after the OTA update to firmware build KOT49I.A1403689895.
There are 2 main problems:
Sometimes when the phone rings and the answering options are shown, the touch screen stops functioning and I have to lock the phone by pushing the power button and unlock it again before I can answer the call.
When phone is being charged, alarm gets automatically snoozed. This only happens when the mobile is connected to the charger. I've installed another alarm clock app and didn't have the same problem with it.
Neither of these problems existed before the latest update.
I'm not sure if it's happening only to me or it's a bug in the firmware.
I wish I could undo the update. Any ideas?
When that update rolled out?
Mine still use the old firmware..
Hope will be fixed soom from LG..
Problems, too.
I don't know if it's normal, but after the last update (Slovakia) I have got several problems with multitasking. It is kind of impossible to listen to music and browse the internet. The music just shuts down after 10 seconds of browsing the internet. Also sometimes the browser (the normal one and chrome) just shut down and all the phone does is show me the menu with applications out of nowhere.

Hi
It seems the problem is caused by the feature "detecting OK Google from any screen". To fix the problem open google search app, go to Settings > Voice > "OK Google" Detection and uncheck "From any screen" option.

Wifi setup screen hangs my tablet - Any ideas?

@malybru suggested to repost here as well, any ideas are welcome:
Hello,
I have Hisense Sero 7 pro tablet for almost 2 years, and it has served me well until I recently gave it to my 2y daughter, and now it has started freezing I have tried reinstalling different ROMs versions (DOPA 4.4.4, 5.0, etc.) but it seems that stock ROM 4.3 is most stable one. I have also noticed that using the stock rom my Sero Pro freezes when I go to Wifi settings screen, or enter wifi password (for non-stock ROM I have not noticed any particular pattern/reason for freezing). Then the screen goes blank (sometimes light is working, sometimes not), and I need to hold power button for a few seconds for a complete shutdown and then I can turn it on.
Now I have watched a few movies from SD card using standard video player and it was working fine, so I believe this issue is isolated to wifi related activities only. Maybe someone had a similar problem (as I believe this is not limited to those particular tablets). Is there a way to fix it? Thanks!
