Any cases out there that are a hard case with a rubber outer that fits tightly?
I've seen the multiple case thread review and most are just soft cases without built in screen protectors
Any particular cases like this?

I have this case: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/For-LG-E970-...pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item20cf81c464&_uhb=1 and it's pretty much like an Otterbox Commuter. Outside plastic with rubber inside and also around the edges. It protects my phone decently and isn't that bulky.
There's also this case: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/for-LG-Optim...&var&hash=item1e772a2926&_uhb=1#ht_500wt_1156 which looks like a Defender, though I have not tried that case. As far as I've seen, there hasn't been any cases with built in screen protectors yet for the E970.
You sir/ma'am are awesome
Thankyou

For $9 I doubt it's real carbon fiber
Yeah that's what I figured as well. The seller page doesn't say anything. Probably some type of 3m vinyl overlay.

I had this for the Note 2 and never liked the feel of it. I love the feel of the OEM leather cover though. YMMV...

That's why I took a risk on this case. Maintains oem feel with slightly more protection.

I just got mine in the mail as well. It was cheap and looks pretty good. I like the feel of the stock cover better, but it's nice to have an extra laying around. It's not real carbon fiber. Just a vinyl sticker on plastic as expected for $8.
Yeah Its not real carbon fiber but it looks nice

I also got one, have had it for a little over a week. feels great, I personally prefer it over the stock battery cover, and it looks slick.
sorry for the picture quality, just realized my ipad air doesn't have a flash for pictures (dumb)
Looks great, i think i have to buy one too.
Anyone use this with a bumper of any sort? If so, how's the fit?
Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
I also ordered this and receive it about a week ago. Look and feel great. Only drawback is its thickness. It sets flush with the camera where the Oem back set below. None of my tpu cases fit with back on.

Gotcha. I guess bumpers probably won't fit either. Was hoping to get a bumper made by Poetic.

A bumper is probably the only case that will work with it if its thicker than the stock cover. In another thread someone said they use the poetic borderline bumper(or maybe it was the bear motion bumper) with the Samsung wireless charging cover.
What are some good slim cases?
I was looking at the spigen ultra fit though that doesn't cover the top and bottom of the phone so if I drop it the bottom or top can still get damaged.

The perks of a slim case comes with its disadvantages along with the slim profile look. Drop once, and the charm fades away of a slim case.
Neo Hybrid is a go-in-between the slim and the protective kinds, hence so many people prefer Neo Hybrid to other skinny ones.
I used to have a Diztronic on my iPhone few years back, and accidently i dropped the phone on a concrete driveway.. i did'nt feel like holding my hands after that, always kept it in the pocket.. it was dinged that bad.

Hmmm interesting. Then what about the spigen bounce? Does that give good protection? Also what's more bulky the bounce or neo?

I havent used bounce. Most of my colleagues and friends have moved to neo hybrid after witnessing my phone.
On the neo hybrid thread you can see some pictures of neo alongside bounce.
I just seen the caseology slim fit case. Looks like a great case. I don't know what to get. The caseology, bounce, or neo.
Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
The neohybrid adds a tiny bit of bulk but it's really not noticeable much to me. It's still a very thin case. It also is the best looking case I've seen. I sound like a shill for Spigen I know, but the case is really nice. I suggest this case to everyone I know who has a model for their phone.
Sent from my SM-N900V using xda app-developers app
Just put on my Bounce, it's not bad- not too bulky. I looked at the neo hybrid and thought way too much added bulk.
Im going to keep my SView case as my phone's 'formal' case and the Bounce as it's 'casual' case.

I have the neo hybrid and diztronic. Diztronic is slimmer and has better grip. Neo hybrid offers a little better protection. The bounce is pretty much the same case as the diz. I had a bounce and returned it.
I've been eyeballing the surface but I wonder if it's compatible with my iloome 9H glass protector. I'd like to have a kickstand and a holster just in case I ever wanted to use it.

Get a 0.40mm one from aliexpress.com
They cost about $6-8.
I posted a thread on how to save $1 too.
