[Q] Best Lollipop ROM for I9300 - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

HI guys,
Which is the best Lollipop ROM for I9300 with,
1. Good battery life
2. Great Performance
3. Stability
Any suggestions?

Resurrection Remix is nice.
Send from my G900F @ Ressurection Remix using Tapatalk.

I think the best lollipop rom is nightly cm 12 from just archi.

i agree wirh Pathera

I've been wondering the same thing. I've seen people post problems about camera no longer working or not being able to use wifi and other network functions. While others reported that their phone started to overheat.
I'd like to flash Lollipop on my i9300 but I'd like a ROM that's as close to Google stock as possible and yet is stable. Which would fit this description the best, Archi's cm 12, Ressurection Remix or some other ROM?

more then satisfied with temasek's cm12 ... everything works perfect, fine battery

CRdroid have no issues best performance no leakage of ram and balanced battery life

Another vote for temasek's cm12 unofficial build. I'd go that far to say that it's the best ROM ever for i9300.
Temasek FTW!

Temasek's and arter97 cm 12.1 LP 5.1.1!
Super stable, battery saver, and costumizable.
Note that it is a cm rom, so with all cm roms problems, namely random rebooting and car Bluetooth issues...
Anyway in my opinion the best i9300 LP ROM so far.

There is a paranoid android official 5.1.1 for i9300 in their website. It's pretty stake stable but lacking in features. Although you need to flash boeffela with it otherwise it won't boot after first installation.

[Q] Q. Best and Complete Rom (4.2) for S2?

So people, can you tell me any change is Camera and overall stability of Cm 10.1 in latest build and the Best available 4.2 Rom? Best in overall experience?

[Q] Most stable Lollipop rom for S3 LTE i9305

I am looking for Lollipop rom for i9305 which is in stable stage by now. I was thinking to install resurrection remix but it still got GPS and 3g issue.
Try AICP, worked like a charm for me, it also has no bugs and good battery life

Best Stable Lollipop ROM?

Hi,
So ive tried BlissPop stable version and temasek's unofficial mod (5.1) and what I have found is that BlissPop is faster than temasek's but I am unhappy with both of these as I get a really hot phone whilst idle/use. I was wondering are there any better roms than these? If not should I stick to KitKat for stability?
I really enjoy the interface of lollipop compared to kitkat which is the main reason I want to have a lollipop rom.
What should I do?
@Man16: no need to ga back to KK. Try newest Slim-build or Euphoria. And if you dare, give them 2d (or more) without GApps.

Try CRdroid 5.1.1 it's stable and doesn't heat up.
Or the official paranoid android lollipop from their website. Although features are limited.

Shall I go CM11 or CM13?

Hi,
Currently have resurrection remix marshmallow and am not liking it due to a number of minor bugs. I was looking at CM but am not sure if I shall go to CM11 or go ahead with CM13. I want stability and performance more than looks etc. What do you recommend please from your experience of both? Is CM11 more stable?
Try some roms & choose the best rom for you. I suggest you to try Liquid Smooth KK rom & Boeffla kernel

Most stable and smooth ROM for i9100?

I just got old Samsung Galaxy S2 (i9100) with old Andoid 2.3.3. I plan to give it to my old father as he has quite ancient phone.
What is the most stable and smooth ROM for this phone? I suppose a lot of people ask for that
I need good battery life (mostly for stand-by time), stability, camera and GPS.
Is it stock Jelly Bean, or some ported Android 5, 6 or 7 (CM, LOS, RR etc.)?
stock based roms like NeatROM,Alliance or Omega v24....
What about MM or Nougat ROMs (like Lineage OS), shouldn't they have imrpoved stand-by time due to new Android power-saving features? What kind of bugs are there?

I have currently LineageOS 14.1 and it seems to work relatively fine, but there is spome battery drain (about 30% per 24h when the phone is just in stand-by, unused, but connected to wifi - maybe that is normal). I have some problem in the phone that stock Android 4.x, CM 11, DU 10.6 and CM 13 (with built-in kernel) are freezing, rebooting etc, while Android 2.x and LineageOS 14.1 seem to work stable. DorimanX kernel for MM helps somehow and DU 10.6 nor CM 13 don't freeze, but it is not compatible with DU (it doesn't finish loading even after one hour) and CM 13 got into some kind of load-loop after some hours of use. I may need to research some custom kernels for stock 4.1.3 or CM11 that would work then... In addition, CM13 didn't look faster than LineageOS 14.1 (perhaps even LOS 14.1 feels a bit smother with f2fs than CM13 with ext4).

yeah, the battery is the main problem in LineageOS, that's why I recommend going back to JellyBean or KitKat, they are still the best.
In the end, I use this old device with AOSP NeatROM's as music player, connected to speaker lol
