Hey guys, two questions. One, why do I have so many status icons on the right side of the status bar, and how do I get rid of them. And two. Can anyone tell me what the icon is between the GPS location and vibrate icon. I can't find the meaning anywhere. Thanks

Hmmm
You can get rid of the most icons but not all.
Lets start from the left side of the notification bar.
1. Saver- You can turn off the saver and the icon will go.
2. then You have taken a screenshot , so You clear it by pulling down the notification bar and clearing it.
3. then You are using facebook messenger the would remain their or simply drag down Your chat and the icon would go (Your chat would go)
4. You can turn off Your location services and the pointer icon will go.
5. You can turn off You NFC when not needed and its icon will also go
6. And among the rest , You cant get rid of the profile icon nor the signals but yes You can turn off the battery percentage ( but percentage really helps).
I guess i didnt help You much
sorry
This was a lot of help! Why would I need NFC on anyway?

Did you actually try it? There is even another app - notification toggle. But the problem is, that this works just when the OS support it and unfortunately official Dell rom doesn't
I tried Status Bar Settings by Karson. It doesn't work (did not register clicks in notify bar). Even on the market page, the dev recommends Widgetsoid! lol
Widgetsoid has the same problem, it just launches a little app instead of each button being an individual toggle. Not quite CM6+ (from the Notification Toggle market page: "you will get a popup to select the toggle feature if your device doesn't support multiple notification clicks")
Maybe we can petition a dev 'round here to figure out how to shoe horn in "multiple notification clicks".
...and for the record, I have been using Quick Settings on my Streak for quick access to power widgets from the notify tray.

an app wont' bring this functionality.. you need to take apart cm7 or twlauncher to inject the hotbuttons. It is somethign I have looked into a few times without success..
there are dozens of apps that put the buttons in and just open a lame widget....
i have resorted to the wireless settings info popup menu hidden in settings to quickly enable and disable the wireless radios.
The wireless activity Krad mentions is covered here at StreakSmart. I have it as one of the gesture actions on the LauncherPro dock.
You can put one tap toggles in the notification tray but each toggle takes up a line in the tray. Notification Toggle can do this. The status bar switches by friedflow also work well.

I had that icon come up when I was roaming. sorry can't remember exactly what I did to get rid of it...
**EDIT***
just remembered! It was when I turned notifications off. Try switching Notifications back on. should fix it.
From the Drop Down, Choose Notification
-slide down the status bar
-find the notification toggle
-be sure it is activated (toggle should be green)
-done!
I too had your problem, I thought I could upgrade my phone lol sadly I was mistaken.
I do think that the icon could have been of a better design and as such more understandable.

Hello friends,
I downloaded a statusbar cpu monitoring app which is really great except for one thing.
Always if i get a other notification, like the whatsapp symbol a new mail or the facebook notification it goes one position to the right.
I would really like that it stays in the left corner of my statusbar and all other notifications take place behind it
Is it somehow possible??

I think not, unless the app would recreate the notification every second; maybe someone else will prove me wrong.
Can anyone help with this. I did a Google search and looked in teh phone where the icon description list is and there is no info on this.
On the notification bar there is a new icon i have never seen. It is to the left of the 4G and is like GPS but it's not a circle but more of a diamond shape with curved signal bars going towards the right, at the 4G icon. I feel kinda silly but since nothing I've changed in the settings anywhere has turned it off.
Thanks
Eric
It's gps/location services (not just standalone). The bars can be removed by turning off location services but the icon itself remains from what I've seen. Probably icon represents at least e911?

Hey thanks. It reminded me of GPS but looked different. So non-GPS but standard Location Services will keep that on? Too bad, it just clutters the notification bar.
Yeah i tested it out and the icon does stay but the signal bars go away if you turn off location services totally off. Bummer. I see that as something to maybe fix in the custom roms.
Hello.
I looking for some way to remove those default icons from notification bar. As it is right now I have 4 icons that are using all of the space on the left side of the notch, those are volte, mobile network signal, wifi... So when I have notification from some app that I do care about I don't see it unless I swipe down and open notifications... Is there any way to remove those default icons or make some other as priority so that when there is notification from them that they push those default to the side and show me important stuff? And there is also little bit of space on the right side to maybe move some of them there...
I assume that I m not the only one that think this is stupid.
Thanks in advance
Those are what I'm talking about
