Just use the one that came with the phone and plug in headphones of your choice.
Please refer to the accessories section of the X10 forums for more information. This is why no one is answering you; it has been discussed.
I use the only good thing from my n97 mini. The headphone, mic set. Very good sound. Buttons dont work tho, but bass is phenomenal. Ear bud type.

These are fantastic ear buds. Have been using them since 2008. They added the mic when the iPhone 3GS was announced, so they do work with mobile devices. I haven't tested them on the x10 since the pair I own were purchased before the mic was added, but I am pretty sure they would work without any problems.

Might want to check out Zagg's site as they have their ear buds on sale for like half price. I hear they are comparable too Bose ear buds. I use a Motorola bluetooth stereo headset. Its awesome but the max volume is a bit low for my taste.

Dont think.zagg will be compatible with x10

Hi,
I have beats by dre and the buttons that came with the wired are similar to the Samsung headphones. What I mean by that is that they both feature volume up and down and the button for switching tracks and answering calls.
However, my problem is that the button in the middle for switching tracks etc works but the volume up and down don't?
Is there a solution for this?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
Yeah.... Just burst it open and switch the small cables until it works then screw it back together again. OR you could cut the wire on both samsung earpiece and beats, just switch them around so you got samsung buttons with beats headphones attached, simple!

It's not a problem exclusive to beats though, i think many 3 button headphones have trouble working with android devices. Maybe if you'd care to share a pair that work without problems, the OP would consider them if the issue is bugging him that much, telling him to 'buy proper headphones' doesnt really help him.
I have beats also and the volume up and down buttons dont work, but it's not a major issue for me. I downloaded
Headset Button Controller from the google play store, it allows you to control everything using just the single button (double tap skips to next track, triple tap goes to previous track etc) works well..

My cousin bought those, the sound quality is extremely poor.
Flat and tinny, bass is non existent.
For that kind of money you could get high quality headphones.
I got sennheiser HD 202's for around 30 euro.

Yeah I have sennheiser cx300 ear buds. £14:100%. Mate compared them to similar beats earbuds. Suffice to say the beats owner wasn't happy with the results

I have those too! I use them for when I'm out and about and the hd202's for around the house.
I think they are great quality and very reasonably priced!
When you buy beats 99% of the price is for the logo.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
I've got the Pro's and they're really good! Not saying that for the same price you don't get way better one's, but they are really good for trance music. I would have got something else instead, but they were a gift.
Got the same problem with the 3 button cable. Also the mic is not working properly, making funny issues.
I just use the simple cable with no button.
I have been looking for a adaptor from iphone made headphones to others, but none that work for the s3...

Yeah they're good for the price. Its pretty hard to distort them. I think if you Mix poweramp, full bass and any Hybrid track though, you're in trouble. But they do me.
Bit gutted, got up on the bus, caught the chord on the seat and ripped the left out of my ear. Must have strained the connection as the left is only 75% volume compared to the right
Beats is a marketing gimmick
thanks
i'm looking for a Stereo Speaker System with GNote dockability.
ie: something similar to the iCraig tower speaker which you can plug an iPhone into. now that my GNote is my primary audio device, i'd like a stereo system that can hook up to it.

I think Panasonic has one but it's more of a dock/clock radio style not really a stereo. Search Android dock on Google.

For the money those are hard to beat. I had a set in the garage for awhile until I upgraded the stereo system in the house and the old one came to the garage.
If your looking to play one source then those speakers are great bang for the buck. But if your wanting multiple inputs, then a regular sound system will work that you can use a 3.5mm to RCA (head phone jack to red white plugs).
Hello! I would like to ask if anyone knows how much would it cost if you repair the headset jack, a hole on the top of the phone where you connect your headset, in the store? It is not detecting any kind of headset/headphones. Thank you!

IPhone changed the Mic and headphone jack pin out, u need a Sony ctia convertor or a 15 uk pounds pair of gummy plus by JVC cos they come with the need cable need from arc to live, its a pain in the arse, I bought loads, most Dont work either, the convertor made them all work, beats included

It's a hardware button that slots into your 3.5 mm headphone socket and can be used as a shortcut for a number of apps like camera shutter or flash.
May be useful to some.. Can't go wrong for 24p delivered..

It's no bigger than the cutouts for the headphones on most cases so this should be fine to use on a phone with a case. It is in fact the same size as most headphone connectors so if a headphone fits so will this. Just an excuse to spend 24p really lol that's why I bought one, no reason to.. No reason not to. Although I do think being able to activate the flash with one click even with the phone in standby is pretty useful for me personally.

Any effect on battery life?
My G3 (D855) seems to be having issue detecting anything that I plug in the headphone jack other than the stock headphones that came with it. I tried plugging in the pressy button and a portable speaker on separate occasions but they were only detected momentarily. The button works fine on my old phone which is a galaxy note n7000 so I'm pretty sure it isn't spoilt.
Anyone has any clue about this issue? Otherwise I'll probably send my G3 for repair since it's still obviously still under warranty.
I am having issue with Pressy on g3 and my other phone so it's not the phone it's Pressy.

Sounds like a software problem with compatibility? I don't see why some work and some don't.. Hopefully gets fixed with an update.
