If you are looking for a solution without rooting + flashing a rom, you can use WidgetLocker, but personal experiences tell me that it's best to stick with the stock one.

I'm rooted but no custom rom as of yet

There is nothing currently unless running a custom rom. The pattern lock is tied to the lock screen unfortunately. Widgetlocker does work but I was getting the stock one pop up all too often while using it. I probably should of contacted the developer but never did.
I am in the same boat as you. Use the pattern lock but don't want the lockscreen. What I'm doing currently is just dealing with the stock lockscreen but using WiFi unlock so when I am at work/home both are disabled (no need for me to have pattern lock active unless I am out and about.) Just a suggestion.

[Q] Disable slide to answer/reject

Hi guys,
Sorry, I'm quite unfamiliar with SONY phone, but my dad own one of this badboy. He have a problem with missing the slide to answer/reject every time there is a call. Is it possible to change it to tap and hold to answer/reject?
Side note: my dad's phone come carrier locked and running GB 2.3.7, AFAIK there is no way to root the phone at this point right? So are there any solution that doesn't involve any root?
Thanks in advance
Use other luncher or make factory reset.

Changing launcher won't make any difference, as the slider is attached to the framework ( or something that can't be changed). I think a factory reset won't make do much difference.
@topic: Try installing HD Caller ID. It may not be the best solution, but it's the only I can think now.

Try to slide bellow the images. There is a bug that requires you to slide a bit bellow than what you would be expecting.

Thanks, that solves the problem! On a side note, is it possible to root XPS with locked bootloader now?

Not yet. I think DoomLord is working on a exploit and a some guys from here are using a Motorola Razr ICS exploit and working on it to work on our phones.

[Q] OTA ICS - No "Testing" menu?

Hey guys, just a quick note / question: I updated my stock Thunderbolt with the OTA ICS upgrade. I am now no longer able to get to the "Testing" menu (with the 3G/4G toggle switch, for example) by dialing *#*#4636#*#*.
Does anyone else have this problem? If so, is there a workaround?
Thanks!

[Q] How to keep the screen on while charging?

Hello guys,
A happy and lucky Z2 owner here. I just wonder if there is any chance to keep the screen on while charging it (on the dock)?
I tried to find that option in Settings but couldn't find it. Any help would be appreciated.
Doesn't sony have an app called Smart Connect for this type of stuff? If I remember correctly, you can open Smart Connect and set a condition (attaching to dock) and an action change screen time.
I can't test and give you specifics as I'm on AOSP right now.

If you wish to use it as a beautiful photo frame while it charges I recommend using this

Tap on your build number 7 times to activate developer mode. Once in there, there is a setting to keep screen awake while charging.

S6 Finger print problem

Hello everyone!
I have a little problem with my Galaxy s6 edge Android 6.0.1. When I receive notification, my screen wakes. And without that I will not touch anything and my fingerprint reader activates itself. And he wrote also hold down the button Long Home. As if detected lots of little pressure.
According to you what is a Rom problem? Or hardware?
Thank you in advance!
PS : you can see the config of my phone in attached picture
(Sorry for my bad english)

I'd think it is a hardware failure. You can just go ahead and make a backup, try another ROM, to see if anything changes and report back.

Of course it can. Can also be an incorrect setting that you made. Try another ROM and let us know if it is still the same. And please backuo before and do a Full wipe.
