Very thanks to nuoitiec19.
I have just upgraded my Edge to stock firmware Lollipop 5.0.1 by Kies3.
It's very simple, after I installed Kies3 on PC and connected Edge to PC, Kies3 automatically upgraded my Edge to Stock firmware Lollipop 5.0.1, no need anything else. All things on my Edge did not lost.
Now my Edge runs fast and smoothly, no problem.
Is this gonna FULL WIPE the phone if I flash it via odin?
There is another thread whose op posted 7 files and 7 steps for odin flashing the 915K This one is a single rom file right? Bootloader modem etc... all included and will be okay if I flash your file via odin (pda option) or should I find / download / flash them also?
Thank you..

My Edge was upgraded very easily.
After Installing Kies3 on PC, Edge was connected to PC. Kies3 connect to Edge (pic).
If Edge firmware was old (4.4.4), Kies3 will show the latest firmware Lollipop (5.0.1). Edge will be upgraded new firmware automatically if you want. You not need download and flash new firmware with Odin, all softwares you like also exist on Edge nothing was wiped.
If you flash Edge firmware via Odin this gonna FULL WIPE the phone.
Mine is rooted and have stock 4.4.4 will it make a difference for updating via kies?

My Edge was unrooted, I don't know whether Kies3 could upgrade Rooted Edge or not. But you could try to use Kies3, if Kies3 could upgrades your Edge, it becomes unrooted. If Kies3 could not upgrade, you unroot your Edge and use Kies3 again.

I have just rooted my Edge 5.0.1, after that I connect it again with Kies3, Kies3 also connects rooted Edge and still has ability to upgrade new firmware.
So you have rooted Edge 4.4.4, you can use Kies3 to upgrade 5.0.1 firmware to your phone.
Cheers,

Hi, i just bought my note 2 and ive already unlocked it and rooted it, i want to use a ROM that has 4.3 Jelly Bean like the N3BULA ROM, it says flash the MJ9 OTA Firmware using Odin. But on the forums there is a forum called "Once you're unlocked don't use odin to flash custom ROMs"
1. I should be able to flash the MJ9 using odin safely right because its not a custom rom right?
2. How do i flash the MJ9 update using odin?
3. Once i flash the MJ9 update can i still use non 4.3 ROM?
Question 1: You are correct.
Question 2: Download, then extract with 7zip. Put phone into download mode. Open Odin on computer and connect the phone. Place extracted md5 into the pda slot and hit start. It'll do it's thing and your phone will reboot and be done.
Question 3: Yes as long as don't take the OTA update from Samsung you will able load roms as usual
Once my phone is in download mode, odin doesn't recognize my phone. Any reason why ? I'm so frustrated

Check your drivers. If you've used casual, sometimes removing those drivers will help and by also installing updated Samsung drivers.
If you've done all of the above and it's still not recognized. I recommend trying a different USB cable.

Info that may help: I searched here in xda not on this device or I'd post a link, for how to install Odin and found that for each Samsung device there are some set of Odin versions that are compatible. I used Odin just now (took less than a minute) version 3.07 for my phone. Note that my drivers were already installed and working since I unlocked the bootloader a year ago. For others: it simply rebooted afterwards and all is well.
Can anyone give me the download link for MJ9 OTA Firmware by Beans?

Here's a link where you can grab the MJ9 firmware provided by Beanstown106... ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2578458 ). Hey guys instead of starting a new thread I thought I would ask here... I just bought a rooted note 2 on craigslist and it has the N3bula rom on it, but it is the first version. It is a little slow for me, so i wanna flash the N3bula 2 rom, but I am not sure if I have the MJ9 thing on my phone. Is there any way to check?

Go to General Section and look at the Data Corruption thread. Directions are there for flashing a Stock Recovery. Do a factory reset with stock recovery. Try that and report back..I have a flashable modem as well so let us know..

If you go to sammobile.com and sign up you can download the latest firmware for your device amd you need the ssung dtivers and odin flashable zip. All you need for odin is downloading it from a link on sammobile and look up on google how to update from 5.0.2 to 5.1.1 for the s6/edge debices and youll find several step by step instructions.

Hi, new here with a little knowledge
Want to downgrade from 7.0 to 6.0.1 and believe I can do this using Odin, and have a version of 6.0.1 from sammobile.com.
my first attempt failed as sw check failed - device 5, binary 4.
So have downloaded a version binary 5 of 6.0.1 but this is BTU sw not the VOD version that's currently on the device.
I am a Voda UK customer with a locked device - can I load the BTU version on my device or does anyone know where I can find a binary v5 of the VOD 6.0.1 firmware?
thanks in advance.

You can flash BTU on to your device, however there's a chance Wi-Fi calling and voLTE will not work.
However the bad news... You can't downgrade once the bootloader has been updated. If you try it will fail, most likely at sboot.bin

one last question - yes it is the 7.0 - so have said later to the install - is there any way i can delete the install files?

Read up this thread. The guy flashed 6.0.1 BTU over 7.0 and it worked fine without issue. If you download your firmware from http://updato.com it comes in 5 files. Then you can flash the 6.0.1 BL separately.

Yeah okay try that. It may work it may not. If it doesn't then try the UK BTU firmware. You need to flash 4 files. CP, BL, AP and CSC. Not the csc_home
Model SM-G930U
version 6.0.1
Where do I go to update it to the latest version and will I lose my root? Thanks a lot.
You can take a Step Back Or Can Jump a Few Steps Forward.
First How To get Stock Latest.
1:Unroot your Phone.(go to supersu>settings>Unroot Complete Unroot)
2:Go to settings>Update.
If that didn't work try A full firmware flash from Odin on Pc
Or you can Flash TWRP and can have Custom ROMs and better functionality

No.You don't Need To Unroot Or Do Anything.Just Backup Your Data. You will Lose Root after The Firmware Flash.
You need Either a specific Region Firmware Or Anything That Isn't corrupted.
Go here and Fill out the form and Download the firmware.Latest Is 7.0
https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-s7/SM-G930U/
If It is not the latest Then After flashing Go to settings About Device and Bang On Device Updates.
Again You'll lose your Root.

I am not sure if the rom you use is using the latest base.
If that is the case, the BTU/XEU has not updated yet... you can use XEF which is the French version. That has latest base and should flash.

Also you don't reported which Odin version you was using. you need Odin 3.13.1 to flash Oreo firmware.
And you can't downgrade the bootloader. So you need to flash a stock Rom with same or newer bootloader like already installed.

I used the latest odin and now just trying to find the latest firmware , I'm downloading XEF the French firmware that the previous comment mentioned
I would use the stock firmware with the manufacturer CSC of the device.
And there is a log window in Odin that shows logs of the flash process. There showing often useful informations. So next time make a screenshot with this logs and post it here
