Hi friends:
I have a problem . When attempting to unlock the bootloader , I saw it was necessary to update the firmware to 2.06 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2314771). I did as instructed (I guess) and then began my problems. After installing, the WIFI did not work anymore . Just put a message "ERROR " and " ACTIVATE " . Do not know what you need . I tried installing the RUU 1.15 but even that does not work , since the attempt, makes me a Error 158 error image. I do not know what to do. I tried installing the firmware of XDA hboot , radio and more but I nothing works .
One interesting thing I noticed is that when I open the bootloader screen , I get that I have 3.06 software (OS 3.06) but when I see the information software on the phone, I have the 1.15. I do not know what happens. You see , I'm a noob. I hope you can help me. I will thank you in advance
I could already solve the problem. I had to install the RUU 3.06 (which obviously did not put me any error 158) and you're all working 100 %.

I upgraded a TMobile XDA1 got the main ROM upgrade then went and tried to upgrade the radio stack. As I see from the many posts a bad thing to do. But this leaves me with a broken unit. The radio was T310. I can not see how I can solve this problem. I have an SD card, I have a friends German unit with an ENG Rom and the orignal radio which I will leave alone. How can I fix mine?
Thanks

Looks pretty much the same as my problem. By pressing the joystick after the error message, I get one step further, but no contact or upload of the ROM. I hope some wise person can supply an answer,

GSM Error
I have tried a number of solutions. None seem to work. If someone has the GSM rom and a solution to upload it let us know. I have tried coping a new radio version to the windows dir on the PPC, this fails. I have removed the back cover and battery again this does not work. The only alternative is to send it back for repair (expensive) or get a new one. I have looked at the solutions in the forum area and on the web but can not find an answer. The unit is an old TMobile (GERMAN) Xda. Upgraded the OS OK then messed up the radio. So as I say let me know if someone has a proven solution. Thanks.
How to fix GSM Error Problem ....
Download the XDA-Developers ROM Version 1.1.
Install the ROM on your Device via SD-Card and bootloader.
The phone should start up and give you the screen allignment and the whole menu!
Download an Upgrade for your device. This depends ont the model you are using. Check the sticker at the back of your device.
If it is a PW10A-Model download RSU Version 4.16.
If it is a PW10B-Model download RSU Version 6.24.20.
Extract the downloaded ZIP-File and copy all files to the /Windows directory of your device.
Copy the RSUpgrade.exe additional to the /windows/startup directory.
Make an soft reset of your device.
Maybe the upgrade will stop again at 1%, this may occur when you have an empty battery.
Place your device in the cradle. Run Active Sync on your device.
The RSU Upgrade will run in the background.
Wait for about 10 Minutes. The upgrade should complete in the background....
Afterwards all should work again...
Good luck....

GSM Error
Many thanks for the information. I have tried this but to sorry to say this does not work for me. I can get the RSUgrade.exe to load on the PDA, it stops at 1% and then hangs. The XDA was a TMobile GER unit with 32Mb. I have two units the same, I attempted to upgrade the radio on one and it failed at 10% rebooted and hung with GSM error. Since then I am at a loss as to the next step apart from throwing it in the bin.

Same problem..
.. and no solution for the GSM Error. There is no possibility to get a connect (O2 germany) and the RSU-Utility stops after 1% - always.
Please help!
Have you tried leaving it for 24 hours with the 1% on screen?
Flash failed
The problem is that there is a message "Flash failed - press ok to restart."
No possibility to leave the program..

I have tried many times to upgrade the Rom Image on my HTC Tytn (Cingular 8525) with no success. I am getting a 260 error with the program located at this link...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=293665
I did first run the unlocking application to unlock both SIM and CID before running the upgrade.
I followed all the steps exactly and have had no success...
The following might be effecting my attempt:
I am running my pc on Vista
I am syncing with Windows Mobile Device Center
I have tried to solve this problem for about two weeks. Can anyone help me?
Mrvanx has a guide on how to prepare Vista for flashing, you can find it here.
This information still did not work. I get a 260 error even after updating the driver, which I did not do until now.
After investigating furthur I have realized what the error is:
As soon as the RUU says "Verifying Information on your PDA Phone..." the second time and forces the device to enter bootloader, the usb connection is lost between the device and the pc. Investigating furthur, the connection to my tytn is lost every time I enter bootloader, whether it is by Power+OK+SoftReset or forced by RUU. Does anyone know how to fix this bootloader connection problem?
Same problem

Use the RUU wrapper with the NBH file you want to upgrade.
I still have the same issue, even when using the RUU Wrapper and any nhb.
don't use vista
Ok, got one step furthur
I reached the point where the ROM Begins to update, which is VERY good...
The ROM update Reaches 1%, then waits for 20 minutes...
Then I get a 262 error and have to go through recovery, try again, with the same result.
i have same problem plz help thnx in advance

Have you tried removing or adding a checkmark to the USB to PC in CONNECTIONS on your device? I remember having a similar problem when I installed Radio Rom 1.38 that my USB connection was lost with the pc . I am using XP when flashing so if you have no luck then do this on a XP machine.
Forgot to ask! What ROM are you trying to flash??
@compwiz2008 and ahmerpar
I read somewhere that running windows update will update WMDC........maybe give that a shot?
Maybe you can try to upgrade your ROM from your SD card.
Nope
Let me try that...
Still did not work
I'm probably going to just take my phone to a computer repair shop and pay them to deal with it, since I'm evedently doing something wrong.
Hi,
I've an AMEO, i tried recently to upgrade to WM6 here is what i've done so far
1. Unlock / SuperCID by the tool provided in the forum (Successfull)
2. Tried to use the SuperCID only Rom in the forum (here the trouble started)
With everytime i try to upgrade the update process stops at random points, i extracted the rom to check where does it stops and i found that it stops when i tried to flash the GPS.. i did succesfully flashed the whole rom twice but neither the Wifi or the GPS worked, and now i'm running it with the official release wm6 (27/7) but without the GPS.
3. Extracted the GPS and tried to Flash it through SD .. same thing.
any ideas guys?
i've been trying this for 2 weeks now .. what is the hell is wrong with this phone ..
NOTE: it works perfectly with the WM5 ROM
Try a different ROM Image...
run a tool called GPSviewer to check whether it can communicate properly with the GPS module.
Doesn't work
It defenitly not the rom as i used it on the other AMEO i've and it works perfectly, i usually use the SD update, and it shows where is the error and it is at the GPS update .. i get the error 00018003 in red color on the top of the screen and the GPS- ( FAIL ) during the update. i've tried all the rom in the forums and it does the same. I've tried to downgrade again to WM5 and it is the same issue the GPS isn't working anymore.. is there a solution .. it seems it can't write at that address i think 00018003 or something like bad blocks in the NAND! is there any fix for that?!
Experts .. i needd youuuuu
Try the SuperCID2 unlocker, then try reflashing.
Never heared about SuperCID2 !!! What is that, if there is something like that where i can find it?! i did search the forum didn't find anything
Thanks for helping
I have unlocked my phone using instructions from the following post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=395945
All has gone well but when I try and complete step 3 (restore original radio) it fails at 5%, giving the following error message:
ERROR [244]: Invalid Model ID
The update Utility cannopt be used for your PDA phone. Please check your update utility.
I've downloaded a couple radios for 1.58.21.23 here on the forums but I get this error message every time. Any ideas?
The phone boots up fine at the moment, but certain things aren't working.. e.g. phone doesn't ring, instead of vibrating a few times it vibrates constantly until you turn it off and also seems a little laggy - I assume this is all down to the incorrect radio version currently installed? Any help is much appreciated, thanks
Ok, try to help you again, just flash an original rom from htc http://www.4shared.com/file/137110456/ed978e87/WWE_2168313_Radio_NikeMR_16529.html
Why an original, because the radio is included.
I don't think if you want to make an upgrade to a common wm 6.5 rom the 1.58 radio is usefull.
Just let me know if it works, otherwise pm me.
Regards
Thanks for this, it's 6.1 instead of 6.0 but everything seems to be working fine - Thanks very much for your time
Perfect, now you can flash every rom you want to try.
hi guys,
trying to upgrade the radio rom, im using the customRUU and its getting to about 99% and then its getting the error 290: invalid command.
and now it only boots in the red, green, blue and white bootload screen.
heres some info if it helps:
SPL-1.42.HSPL on my hd2..

I had the same problem. I was trying to restore my phone to original firmware, due to issues with custom firmwares. I had managed to extract the NBH from the installer provided by my carrier, and used CustomRUU to flash the phone, but the phone was not booting.
I then flashed one of the EnergyROM builds onto my phone.
After that I could not get the original firmware onto the phone, error 290 at 9%.
I booted my phone into the bootloader (red/blue/green), and used HSPL2 to set SPL to 1.42.HSPL. I could then flash the original firmware.
My phone is now working fine, as best I can tell.
Always showing bootloader screen with rom upgrade error
I was trying to revert to windows custom rom from android (due to frequent freezing) and then onwards booting the phone I am always getting the bootloader screen displaying rom upgrade error.
I tried hard reset but still the same problem persists, then I downgraded the HSPL 2.08 to SPL-1.42.HSPL and then tried reinstalling the custom rom but still the same problem persists. In between after downgrading the HSPL, I tried task 29, it was unsuccessful after 96% (shows Invalid Command (Error 290)), while reinstalling the customRUU I have, I got something like error 270 at the end (it goes fine till 100%).
I also tried with installing the radio (ver 2.15.50.14) in between but to no effect
Please help me in fixing the issue, my phone is of no use now
