LG G Watch:
Stock 5.0.2
Google Play services 7.0.95
Nexus 6:
Stock 5.1
Google Play Services 7.0.99.
Android wear: 1.0.5.1724356
The only change on the LG G watch is the addition of minuum keyboard. In any case, at random times over the past weeks I've noticed a massive battery drain where my watch will go from 80% to 20% in less then a hour with out me using it. With no indication on the android wear app as to what is causing it. I downloaded Wear Battery Stats but that has not told me anything in terms of a app that is causing it. I've tried resetting the watch and the phone but the problem continues, which makes me wonder A) if it's a rogue app B) has something to do with either Google Play Services/5.0.2 that is causing it to go crazy. My best guess after reading through the forums is that it's caused by the watch disconnecting temporarily on 5.0.2 thus making it go crazy. I am getting random "Unfortunately Android Wear has stopped" notifications at times, which I have no idea why that is happening.
Can any one help me pinpoint why this is happening and how I can solve it?
The following are the apps that I have installed on the watch:
Minuum
Wear Messenger
Amazon Shopping
Photos Watch Face
Al the cooks
Wear battery stats
weather timeline
flopsy droid
calculator
Keep
RunKeeper
Syu Wear Manager
Facer
Wear Mini Launcher
Lyft
Wear Tip calculator
IF
Calendar
Play music
Fit
Clock
Journey
maps
Wear Speaker
Cerberus
Pocket Casts
Evernote
Duolingo
Sleep wear
Reversi
Thank you in advance!
Love to help as mine is doing the same thing! Especially with a long trip using Google maps navigation on my phone. Very annoying!
I believe that it's not the apps you have installed on your device that causes the drain. For some reason when I install a new app most of the time I will get a battery drain but I found out that restarting the watch after the install fixes the issue and I'm having the same problem when disconnected, constant Force Closing. What phone is your watch connected to? I think it might be a bug with android 5.x I'm running Nexus 5 on 5.1 but before this phone I had it connected to an HTC Desire 610 on 4.4.2 and had no "Android Wear Isn't responding" message.
Edit: Completely missed the first half of your post! haha
So yeah, I think it is a bug with Android 5.1
Thats weird. I wish there was a better way then waiting on Google to fix this. Are any of you experiencing lag on your LG G Watch on 5.0.2 stock? Multiple issues I'm running into basically .
Mine too, down to 40% before lunch is over. It seemed to start with the last google play services updates.
I've tried factory resets, wiping wear app data etc. Still happens.
Also Nexus 6 5.1 Stock.
Maybe it's the memory leak from 5.0? I know you're on 5.0.2 but I am also having the same issue. Okay besides the factory stock apps like keep, timer, alarm, maps, fit, calendar, Amazon Shopping & play music? I have Slumber, tetrocrate, beelink, bidot, compass, Dragon laser, file manager, find my watch, find my phone, instaweather, instant, intellicom watch faces, invaders, new tweet, reversi, ring my phone, speeds, spooky pumpkin crush and world clock. I am thinking that I need to downgrade back to 4.4w

After taking update I got excited. Loved the theater mode and different watch faces. However two days in I'm having issues.
X1 remote will no longer work.
Gmail, hangouts, etc notifications are no longer working, rarely will get notified.
Also android wear app has issue forgetting and reconnecting to watch. Have to reboot watch to get it synced. Watch will not display the cloud with slash symbol and will act like it's connected to my phone even tho it's not online. Then after launching voice search it will finally say off-line.
So what should I do? Reset? Roll back to kitkat?
I have read some people with phones running lollipop that they aren't used to priority notifications. But my lg g3 is on kit kat so that's not my issue here.

Uninstall android wear app, reset android watch. Re-download android wear app from play store, re-pair watch with app. Start fresh...

Another bug is the voltage between pins on lollipop (we lost the lg fix), that causes deterioration; and while theater mode is activated, the alarms will not vibrate.
I didn´t have any problems with gmail, hangouts, or disconnections.
Today no issues after following reset and reinstall instructions. I have been able to receive vibrations with theater mode.
Will research this deterioration thing. Haven't heard of it.

We´re researching about this, maybe it´s not a bug really.
Wish I could stop this battery use from Google fit. It's disabled.
I obviously can't complain about battery life. I get 3 or 4 days easily with it turned off at bedtime, always on screen disabled, and brightness at 1.
Hello, I am really depserate for a fix or answer about what should I do. I have been using LG G Watch for around 4 months now. It is all great and good, but it is super laggy. Unusable most of the time. I can open google fit properly without lag perhaps once a week. Right now as I write this. It takes around 2 seconds to light up the screen. Some 3 secons to open up the menu (the search thing under which all apps are located). And google fit takes around 3 secons to open it up as well. Ah, and it froze up. Great experiance huh? Reseting and restarting the device does not fix it. Would a custom rom make it run faster? What should I do?
Few things to note,
Paired with Nexus 5 (stock 5.1)
Watch version is stock 5.0.2
Apps that are currently installed from market on watch , (though I did some tesing and even deleting most of these apps does not fix the lag)
Wear browser
calculator
calendar
gallery
wear launcher
wear messenger
wear aweare
In the battery info (on android wear application in your phone), is there an application draining the battery ?

Yes I have done factory reset many times.
Here is the battery stats from wear application (attachment)
I've had a similar issue where the watch would become completely unusable and the battery would be empty within 1 or 2 hours. On my watch Wear Mini Launcher seemed to be the problem. After removing it the watch has become much more stable and responsive.
I will try that out, thanks!
I had the same problem while on 5.0.2, stock or rooted and in the end even with a custom kernel. So much lag that it took many minutes to reboot the watch (without the rear pin).
but since version 5.1.1 , it's like a new watch and no lag.
if you didn't received the OTA, use lg g watch tool
The version 9.8 will flash 5.1.1 if you choose to return to stock, anyway all the data come from the phone so you can reset it without any doubt.
my watch had some difficulties to be recognized on my main PC once in fastboot mode. I tried for 2 hours and the solution was to use another computer (but not all people have many computer).
With my phone largely idle, Google Play Services is consuming 40-50% of the power and seems to be stopping the phone sleeping. The net_scheduler wakelock is the biggest culprit causing up to around 800,000 wakelocks in a day. It got to the point where I couldn't get through a day of minimal usage without recharging during the afternoon. I don't use Google+, I have turned off location services and disabled Google books, movies, games, search and google+ apps. I still have sync enabled for Google apps data, calendar, chrome, contacts, gmail and internet but I have disabled sync for drive, Fit data, people and picasa which I don't use anyway.
The problem was worse when I was using Exchange Services to sync with my work email and calendar. Turning off email sync helped a bit but Google Play Services activity still seemed to ramp up and stay high when I had a calendar appointment in Outlook, even with the sync period set to manual. So I have now removed the Exchange account completely.
I am aware that Exchange Services seems to be a common problem, something to do with the version of the Exchange server? Anyway that is not within my control. The serious battery drain started maybe 4 weeks ago and Exchange Services was responsible for most of it. Having eliminated that, its now Google Play, which also seems to be a common problem but usually NlpWakeLock? My phone is currently showing it has been kept awake 1h51m by Google Play Services since this morning, and 1h39m of that is net_scheduler (435409 wakelocks). GSam battery monitor shows almost continuous background activity even when I am not using the phone. The highest battery usage per app is by Google Play Services at 27%, the next highest is Kernel at 9%.
The battery drain seems to be worse when I am at work, where the signal is poor and I am on wifi but that has always been the case. I also use wifi at home. I turn off mobile data while at work to try and reduce battery usage. Other than changes to reduce battery drain I haven't changed anything on my phone for ages and I haven't updated or installed anything new, although I think Google Play automatically updated itself a few weeks ago.
What is net_scheduler and how do I stop it or Google Play killing my battery?
stock Samsung Galaxy S3 LTE, not rooted, on T-mobile
Android 4.3
New battery less than a year ago.
Someone please answer your... I am having the same issue and it is riculous. On one plus oxygen.
I am having the exact same problem. 28929 wakelocks for *net_scheduler*
Thank you in advance for anyone's help!
Custom Samsung Note 3 Rom 4.4.2
Me too, pls help us to solve this problem. Thanks.
its my problem too , fk my battery ! plz help ...
Same problem. Recently, battery has been draining crazy fast in standby. Wakelock detector shows this net scheduler causing 263,000 wakelocks over only 4 hours standby and lost about 25% battery doing nothing. Android 4.3 on sony xperia sp.
Using OS monitor app, Android system and google services framework are consuming 60% cpu power when phone is just idle.
Google are a bunch of idiots.
---------- Post added at 02:02 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:38 PM ----------
To fix, find Google Services Framework and clear data and cache. Instantly fixed the problem. CPU usage by Android system and Google framework dropped to 0 and wakelocks have stopped increasing.
I highly recommend the app OS monitor, let's you put a permanent notification which shows top 3 things consuming cpu power.
Before Clearing Framework (this was non-stop, even restarting didn't help)
After
problem has returned, google, you suck.
Hi, I have the same issue like you. I disabled some services of google play services and I was thinking that that was the reason of wakelock *net_scheduler*, but it isn't, because I flashed new ROM with all services enabled but *net_scheduler* is draining my battery again. Its strange that is showing it randomly, I mean some day I don't have that wakelock and the next day I have it. Really strange.
If anyone knows more about it please answer.
Hey,
I have the same issue. Since the last GPS update wont even last a day. I found also that the GPS are responsible and in my case its also the *net_scheduler* service. It is pretty active. I already tried a few things from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2357417
But so far nothing helped. It drains the battery really fast, yesterday my battery went from 50% to 30% in 20 min. That sucks.
If someone found a fix please post it here
Tried uninstalling google play services update, everything fine. Then updated it via play store and within a few minutes of update noticed phone was getting hot and laggy again. Same issue, something is going on with google play services causing massive wakelocks and high cpu usage. Currently at 1.4 million net_scheduler wakelocks in past 18 hours. Had to recharge twice even though phone barely used.
For no obvious reason, since yesterday I don't appear to be having the problem with Google Play Services any more. I haven't done anything to the phone, I am in the same location, nothing has changed on my end as far as I know unless I have inadvertently done or not done something that I normally do or don't do. In any case the problem appears to have gone away, or maybe it is just dormant waiting to drain my battery when I least expect it...
Something broken on the Google servers that they have now fixed?
Yep its fixed itself, there was an update on 18th June. The version with problems was 7.5.71 now its 7.5.74
Used my phone without google play services for a day and it actually doesn't affect much. You can still use play store, chrome but most other google apps won't work. Snaptube can be used as youtube replacement. If you can live without hangouts, gmail etc I'd recommend just removing it completely, save any future headaches.
Hmmm... I still have Google Play Services 7.5.71. Strangely Google Play Store says it has no connection, even though I am on wifi and other apps can connect fine. Maybe that's why it hasn't been able to hammer my battery?
What is the relationship, if any, between GP Services and GP Store?

I got the no connection on play store after clearing google framework cache. Had to reboot phone to fix it. Could be why the issue has stopped for you as I noticed it did too after clearing framework at first.
Completely uninstall google play services, it will reset to factory default. Re-enable it and launch a google app such as youtube. It will prompt you to update and bring you to google play services page on play store where latest version will be downloaded.
Google Play Services updated itself over the weekend to 7.5.74, lets hope this one fixes the battery drain for me. I never get any option to update or not, the only reason I know it updated is because I have an app that automatically backup up any app that gets installed, so I can revert to the previous version if an update causes problems. I did try reverting GPS but installation of the previous version failed.
Anyway, is there any way to stop Google services updating automatically? I can't find anything in the settings. I have Play Store set not to update automatically but that doesn't seem to make any difference. When google play services updates I don't get redirected to the Play store, it just installs the update without asking me.
Follow these hints next time.
Anyone else still having this issue? It's issuing a lot of wakelocks for me (Marshmallow/TouchWiz Note 4)

Yep same for me (TW MM Note 4). Amplify shows *net_scheduler* to be by far biggest wakelock, which is what brought me to this thread. Google Play Services now at at v9.4.52. Hmmm.
wakelock
it is google play services which drains battery very drasticly

Started happening to me yesterday - battery was great until this
As the topic says, the watch won't show any google cards. It just happened out of the blue. It used to show cards like weather and so on but all of a sudden i stopped. Notifications overall works like a charm, it's just the cards. On my phone (N6P) the cards are fully functional and enabled. Everything is up to date.
What i've tried:
- Unpair the watch (also a factory reset)
- Disable and enable cards on the phone
- Re-installed Android Wear
The thing is also that if I press the Google app on the watch, it shows weather, it does not prompt for enabling Google Now on the phone. I'm so confused. I re-installed everything last night.
same problem here
Nexus 6P (newest Chroma ROM) and Huawei Watch Classic
Same for me.
Newest Google Search App (5.11.31.19) doesnt seem to help either.
OnePlus One (CM13 nightlies) + Moto 360v2
I've had contact with Motorola via e-mail and what they have recommended so far is to unpair the watch, remove Google account from phone, remove android wear, add the account again, install android wear and re-pair the watch.
Did not work for me. Waiting for further advice.
Same here.

Glad it's not just me. Hope they fix it soon.
I somehow had it working again for the last few days (dont know what made it work). But today when I woke up in the morning the watch wasn't showing the Google now card again! (Again I don't know what changed :/ )
This bug is appearing really weirdly. Hope it gets fixed soon
Mine just started working again randomly yesterday. Not sure what triggered it. Maybe an app update.
I start to believe it's intentional, the cards will show up if there is anything apart(!) from weather (in my case upcoming football matches), and it will never directly show the weather, but say something like "1 more from Google" (dunno about the english term it uses). If your only card is the weather one, it won't be there.
I am having the same issue with my watch as well. I just reset the watch and deleted the android wear app and deleted all settings and reset the phone and watch up. Still not working.
After a 30 minute phone call to Moto tech support I was told that the issue is a defective watch and they offered to send me out a replacement watch. I told them I would thank about and get back to them. I am pretty sure it is not a watch hardware issue but a software issue.
Ever since I got the most software update earlier July 2017 on my Zenwatch 2, my Zenwatch 2's battery is horrible, it barely last 10 hours with a little usage with brightness set to lowest. I did factory reset hope to fix the issue, after I did factory reset I was trying to download my watch face back to my watch, I noticed it is not showing up at all so I try download any other watch faces and none of it are showing on the Android Wear app. Currently I am stuck using only stock watch faces. Anyone else having similar issue?
You have to add the custom watch faces in face designer on the watch. Swipe left and tap add more watch faces at the right hand end of the list of watch faces. You need to also have the custom watch face app or apps installed on both your phone and watch.
You will need to go into your play store on the watch and add the custom face apps to the watch. You should see any app that is on your phone and which has a complimentary watch app in the list at the bottom of the scroll called apps on your phone.

I did do that, before the new update any watch faces I download show up in the Android Wear app, right now none of the custom watch faces I download are showing in Android Wear.
They won't. It works a bit different now. You have to use the app that comes with each one to manage them and then add them to your watch as I detailed.

I noticed only the watch faces I download directly from the Watch's Play store showed up on my watch and my Android Wear app, but any watch faces I download from Play store on my phone is not showing up on neither my watch or Android Wear, so base on what I found out is that if any of my previous purchase of watch faces didn't found on the app store on my watch that basically mean it is not supported in the latest version of Android Wear.
That could bead well. Just like anything the app developer has to update his or her app to work with aw 2.0

You must go on the "PlayStore" app on YOUR watch and look at the section "app from phone" to install faces/apps wich is yet on your phone. With Wear 2, phone faces/apps are not automatically installed on the watch. Users must install all or only the one they want.

If that the case then I will say I HATE this update, it used to be so easier if I want to download watch face on my watch I can download on my phone Play Store then it will automatically add to my watch. Also I quite sure new update rendered my Zenwatch's battery unusable, my battery drop 100% to 5% within 10 hours, I used to get to able through almost 2 full days without charging it.

Yes, twin already. Didn't helped for now I am force to turned off ambient mode and set brightness to lowest just get watch with usable battery life again though still no luck getting back the watch face "LED Time" I purchased download to my watch. I am currently addressing this issue to the developer who made that face watch so hopefully that issue can be fixed from the developer who design the watch face. I am extremely irritated with new update that screw up my watch. By the way trying find watch face on my watch by typing in name with small tiny screen was fun! (sarcasm). I wish someone would make those developers who released the latest Android Wear update to type on their Smartwatch with their life depend on it.
Turn off automatic wifi as that uses lots of power and likely you did not have that turned on with 1.5
My battery life was pretty bad for a few days after the update, but once I let it run down completely and die, then charge to 100% it was back to normal.

I hope that is the case, I charge my watch to 100% took it off the charger around 1pm by 11pm my battery life down to 5%. Since I turn ambient mode off battery seen to getting better even though I previously had ambient turn on the entire time before the update and my watch managed to last almost 2 full days.

Actually I did have my wifi turn on as well as ambient turn on before 2.0 update. that was my setting and it lasts me almost 2 days. I don't use my watch to make call or send text message, I mainly use it just to check a few notification though out the day and obviously to tell time so I don't have heavy usage on it.
The latest update to the Android Wear app on your phone.should allow watch face modding and changes once again from the app.
