Hi good afternoon everyone, I currently use AOKP rom, basically that was the only one allowed me to install the XT9 keyboard. I really hate the qwerty keyboards on touch screens. I wonder if it is possible that this function is included in the rom that you develop, I have tried to do it myself without making it work.
Another thing for those receiving errors signed is because of faulty micro SD or fake copies. Make sure your micro SD memories are original and Grade 10. The market is currently very difficult to find they are actually class 10 originals. In every store in my country they sell are fakes.
Is there a chance of EXT4 partition corrupting my SD card ??
Thank you @abigal for replying to my query

▐▄▀▄▀▌ TUTORIAL CWM roms are the way to go right now!!!
THIS IS A TUTORIAL TO GET CWM ROMS UP AND RUNNING ON UR RHODIUM
SO i felt completely compelled to share my amazing experience and results with my CWM rom!!!!
i almost always try to keep the development process here away from other sites
if you want a REALLY GOOD WORKING version of android on your device without trying NAND ... follow my instructions...
first off i have a ATT Tilt 2 i have been using with this..
to find anything you need to know on android for our phones go HERE
(Neopeek site)
any size card should do for runing CWM builds,,, i however am runnig an 8gb class 4 sdhc and all is well
MY recommended partition sizes... (i set 300mb as all my EXT2 partitions just to make calculating it easier...)
(primary) FAT32 - storage for music videos pics etc... rest of space
(primary) EXT2 - 200-300mb (system) holds rom build... none are over 250mb
(primary) EXT2 - 200-300mb (data) data for android... i believe is the space for app install... so bigger is better..
(primary) EXT2 - 50-100mb (cache) like ram sorta...
with these sizes... worryin about the size of the rom will not matter ..
look on the site link i posted above on how to install and use CWM if you havent before... (dont worry newbs... its easier then everyone makes it seem...)
with CWM builds the standard Gapps are not included...
THIS SITE is the repository to go to... i am using "gapps-hdpi-20101114-signed.zip" but feel free to try others to see if they load...
this is the the most frustrating part of CWM, finding GAPPS that install...
u install them the same way you do a rom... by installing the zip from the sd card...
i do recommend installing gapps zip after you have already installed the rom and booted and restarted android a couple of times
otherwise i recommend THIS ROM as it is the one i use... i know it is only Froyo but it has a themed gingerbread taskbar with black pull down so it still looks nice!!!
lastly
((((technically test kernel.. so not recommended!!... but proven to fix screen not coming on problem...))))
for you crazy tester ppl waiting for the day you brick your phone(im totally kidding dont worry newbs) i use the WIS-Tilt2 kernel the newer test one to be specific...
GO HERE
With this kernel my device goes in to deep sleep with the GReen light and wakes up perfect every time!!!!!
the zip is just modules package and a zImage.. just have to replace and boot...
WARNING... when i updated with the working kernel it looked like it wasnt going to work.. didnt seem to be anywhere enough scrolling text and the boot animation barely played and then the screen went black... i played around with the buttons and found the device to be opperating with out the screen on i kept pressing buttons and the screen finally woke up!!!! be patient!!!! after that it worked perfectly everytime...
other tips... for people experiencing wifi unable to scan problem ..
use the Wifi-nvram.txt trick look it up in xda... once command is entered no need to reboot just turn on wifi and connect!!!
i hope that this has been helpful i couldnt find any where that had all the tips and tutorial in one place to get CWM up and running at least once... had to do it trial and error.. hope my hard work will help you newbs out!!! hahaha

Here is the CMW version of the normal FRX06 by arrrghhh. Credits to arrrghhh for the build and to preston74 for making it ready for CMW.
G-apps are already included in this build so you don't have to flash them separate.

Yes you are doing a good job
I first made a cmw version of frx06 without gapps, but argghhh told me it was ok if I include the gapps, so I did
You may also integrate my link in your first post, then I'll delete my post.
Forgive me here... I am new to the CWM builds. If I have a CWM build on an SD card, with the appropriate ex2 partitions and all, can I use CWM to put on a different build? That would be a whole lot easier than having to reformat and start over...
Well if you run in to any problems the support here is going to be limited.
On the other hand if you use XDAndroid the support here is maximal.
For testing and dev reasons, I will stay with my current build. I quite like my bluetooth.
For any beginners I would very much recommend that you use 'standard' (see intro to android sticky). Well, at least until you are confident you don't need to be hand-guided through this and know what to do if something goes wrong.

It actually is pretty easy - you can backup your current system & data partitions, and throw a new build on - if you don't like it, wipe and revert to the backup.
The only problem is if you have CWM installed, other 'normal' (looped mount) builds will not work - the rootfs will see the partitions and think you want to run from partitions - of course, this results in a failure to boot... I like having many builds on my card at one time so I can flip between them - this also makes testing a heckuva lot easier, so heads up folks!
Nice tutorial and thanks for putting my build in it,but you should put proper credits as Neopeek(and his team) made cwm and i made the build you linked(you can avoid doing this)
And it's gingerbread like themed and the theme name is minimal green..
You can avoid doing 300 mb system as almost all the builds are less than 100 mb,so doing it 150mb is good
CWM and loopmounted builds can co-exist.

To avoid this you can just add the "no_partitions" (without the quotes) switch to your cmdline on your startup.txt of the loopmounted build and you should be good to go.
It may depend on your rootfs, but I'm using F22's rootfs and it works like a charm.
i'm trying cwm with frx6 and it keep saying fail rootfs., what am i doing wrong?
Do you followed the tutorial on how to set up your sd-card for cmw? I think you are using a wrong rootfs. As far as I know you need the rootsf from neopeek's cmw.

I think you are choosing the wrong item in cmw, you need to choose 'Install zip from sd-cart' and then 'choose zip from sdcard'. Don't choose 'apply sdcart/update.zip' or something like that.
And if that doesn't work, maybe try another build. There is a (really small, because I tested it myself) option that the frx06 cmw build doens't work well.

No thats not it. i did just just what u are saying. I even tried the CherryPieV3 and it still installation aborted. I'm using CWM 1.8 could that be the problem
If you already have CWM files on your phone, then do not just install the CherryPieV3.zip file. You must extract the zip file which has another zip file inside that you should use to install in CWM.

Yes, you´re right. But he said that he also tried frx06, and that doesn´t worked for him too, and with the frx06.zip bundle, you don´t need to extract it first (if i'm right ;p)

Does anybody have a clue about why this is not working?
Hey all, I posted this on CM's forums as well but haven't gotten any replies so I figured I'll try this forum as well. I'm a new to mod installations so forgive if some of these questions are redundant/plain stupid. I figure it's better to ask a stupid question though, than to brick my phone.
Anyways, here goes:
So I have installed ClockworkMod (free) and created a recovery.
I copied a stable version of CM into my root folder (update-cm-7.1.0-GalaxyS2-signed.zip)
Now to install it do I go into ROM Manager, and under ROM Management select "Install ROM from SD Card"? Then check off the 3 options and hit ok, and reboot into recovery on the next popup window?
Finally...when the phone reboots into "Android System Recovery"..I see this:
Android system recovery <3e>
Enter: OK Key, Select: VOL UP/DOWN
reboot system now
apply update from sd card
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
-- Installing package...

So do I go into "apply update from sd card" and select the CM zip file?? And after that I see there's mention of another zip file simply labelled "update.zip"...its also in my root. So I use that AFTER CM.zip right?
And finally...whats up with the errors there while installing the package? Is that ok?
Thanks! And sorry if this is the wrong forum. I didn't spot a specific mod-related forum here.

Use this link here, i think your problem is you afe flashing with rom manager you should use CWM for a first time install and you need to flash twice back to back to ensure a clean install.
I'm trying to install a mod from the online kitchen but all i get is:
Error in /sdcard/mymod.zip
(Status 0)
Installation aborted
Even if i make an other rom, install an other version of CWM or SU or when I try to install it from the internal sd it gives me the same error.
I also tried to flash a different kernel, but no succes.
Any suggestions?
Flash a new CWM and Root kernel.
jje
you might have a corrupted download, redownload the mod.
tried both, didn't work... I also tried to rebuild the mod but still get the error.
I can flash other other zips through cwm...

strong suspect is your zip file containing the mod. did you try toggling signature verification?
Are you trying from Kitchen or from CWM..
Place on int.SD and flash manually from CWM,
if other files are flashed then definetely CWM is preventing you afrom a wrong flashing...
i've tried to change my batteryicons with this guide and that works:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1434061
But i want to do it via the UOT kitchen, because i want the lockscreen mod too.
This is what i did:
I've uploaded framework-res, twframework-res, systemui and applied the battery mod and the lockscreen mod, nothing else. Then I clicked submit to kitchen, downloaded the zip and flashed it to my device throuw cwm, and i got error 0.
Should i try other scripting in UOT?
maybe i'm stupid but can it also be that i'm on stock rom (rooted) ics 4.0.3 xen lp7?
Hey,
If you check their official XDA Thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=990829
You will notice (In the second post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=12049814&postcount=2) that it is only compatible with Froyo/Gingerbread Roms.
You can't use it with ICS mate, and this is probably why you are getting the error while trying to flash it.
and what about this line:
Battery mod for ICS roms (NEW!)
i also tried to do the battery mod only, but still get the error
same problem with u

Hi All,
I found a CM12 Rom for Neo made by a developer called Komhir..... I think it has lot of bugs.... I tried it in my Neo V but it was only for Neo I suppose... Can anyone using Neo check and update what are working...... Below is the link to thread... Since the site was not in English I am posting the Google translate link...
http://translate.google.com/transla...ial-lolipop-5-0-1-cm12-0-legacyxperia-488058/
... for Neo L ?? It is for Neo but you can install it on your Neo V. First you must flash my kernel cm11 and do all wipes with format system. Now from CWM install cm12 and gapps. After this power off the phone and flash right kernel from zip cm12. I only compiled ROM from source from Mike. I dont change anything. Camera, Calling, SMSing dont work. You need partition Ext4 on memory card, becouse all apps will be installed on they. I recomend min. 1 GB and class 10 card.
Hi Komhir
Not Neo L..... I meant Neo..... I am using Neo V and have class 10 card with ext 4 partition done for 2 GB. But still I am unable to flash the ROM.. I shall try in the method you mentioned and will update.... Anyway thanks for your reply ....

I did read about the non working, i was wondering about this:
http://translate.googleusercontent....LkJrhjK2NhW2795tjMza3RXT4ApalmKjg#post4307267
since he uploaded it for haida and not for hallon, i was referring to that question about the haida.
Atomrat build is for haida and have added overclocking to 2GHz and swap. Kernel from Atomrat you can install on my ROM, becouse date of compilacion is the same

Ok, thank you, uhm.. what if i got EXT2 than EXT4 will it be ok? Or do i need EXT4 for that? and what's the difference between the two? Thank you..
I dont now. You can try on EXT2 and write here if it work or not.
Keep getting: "Encryption unsuccessful"
"Encryption was interrupted and can't complete......"
"To resume using your phone, you need to perform a factory reset...."
Any ideias?
"factory reset"??
You must do all wipes with format system.
EDIT: Probably you dont have partition EXT4 on SDcard
- Modified CM11 kernel: fastboot flash boot boot.img - OK
- Wipe data/factory reset. Not All Ok: Message: 'E: format_volume:no MTD partition "userdata"'
- Wipe cache partition: OK
- Wipe dalvik cache: failed to find "userdata" partition to mount at "/data"
- Format /system: OK
- Install cm-12-20141219....zip:
- Finding update package...
-Opening update package....
-Installing update....
-mount: failed to mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p2 at /data: No such file or directory
unmoun of /data failed; no such volume
- Script succeeded: result was [/system]
- Install from sdcard complete.
- new CM12 kernel: fastboot flash boot boot.img - OK
Just tried again. I thought i had worked :'( a message showed asking if I wanted to trust my computer and enable debug (exacly what I need). But it didn't. Then I got the same message as before!
I suppose '/data' missing is important! How can i fix it?!

What i did is,
- Flash Modified Kernel of Komhir
- Wipe Everything
- Flash the Rom
- Flash the Haida Kernel by atomrat
- Then it's good to go, but please before installing any gapps, you must have EXT-4 because i tried with EXT-2 it doesn't work, no apps has been installed on my system except the one's in the rom.
Thanks for Komhir and Atomrat
Note: The list of the non-working is on their thread, check it, if you can live with your phone like that, then it's fine.
where is the thread ?
where can i download Rom & Gapps
Steps of installation
My device is Xperia Neo Mt15i using cm-11-20141224-UNOFFICIAL-LegacyXperia-hallon
thanks
