Hello, I'm kinda new here. I'm not a dev myself, but Ican't be impressed on the amount of skill we can find here...
Anyways, back to topic. Afew days ago we learned that samsung was gone to include a theme manager, admitting that other themes will propably created by Dev and the community.
My question is quite simple, since a few videos emerged on the internet, showing a "revamp touchwizz " (i recommend those keywords since i'm unable to post full link) I totally fall in love with those transition animation. Is it possible, with the theme editor, to create such a beautiful theme?

A different forum I frequent has a thread dedicated for full theme and/or themed items for those who would like to have something specifically done and dont have the ability or knowledge to do so.
I used to theme for the iphone and would be happy to do some themeing here... but I havent put my foot in the water yet. After I learn how to theme for android Ill start, but for those theme makers who have time and would like to fill out requests, this would be great!
I for one until I get the hang of themeing android would like to see HTC sense page indicators in replaced of the large tacky dots on the stock rom.

Since Samsung hasn't interest in update of our Galaxy Player... We must create a ICS Theme or Launcher very similar to original... That's my opinion cuz i really like the appearance of ICS
this was also an idea of me,
The Holo Theme is simple, modern and nice.
Meh I don't like the ICS theme that much. There is already a theme for that.
I wanted a MIUI theme, becuase no one has achieved to port MIUI launcher to the Player yet (if I'm correct). Something elegant is nice in my opinion.
But I have no knowledge of coding, sorry .
I do like this project though!
How about change GlassLock screen to TapLock?

Instead of creating a ICS theme from scratch, we can try porting Vertumus' ICS Domination Theme if he allows us to. It will be easier than building from scratch.

Hello all,
newbie user here, just became a GS3 user, and I'm wondering if I should root.
I enjoy changing themes on devices as I get tired of using a particular theme for too long, and I wanted to know if rooting a device has any advantages over, say, a launcher like GO Launcher EX, when it comes to customizing the look.
I don't plan on making any themes myself, as I'm pretty bad at design, but I do intend to try my hand at app development at some point as I have a background in programming.

I just use Go Launcher for my themes but if your looking to do some really custom stuff you might have to go another route. Have you checked youtube
Yeah I have but i dont really like using launchers and such. I like TW.
It really depends on how much you want to theme. If you're not rooted, you can download widget apps such as Beautiful Widgets or HD Widgets and use those as well as change the icons for apps. If you're rooted you can basically theme whatever you want. A good place to look for theming is youtube. If you wanted to, you could even go to the "Screenshot of your homescreen" threads and if they are popular people usually ask how to get them. This will give you a good idea of what to use.
To answer your second question, Samsung has already started pushing the 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update to the International version of the Note 2 so it won't be too long before we get it on ours. Hopefully early 2013.
I know it sounds odd after so many days of themer on XDA, I am asking it now.
So, what is this themer actually ?
1. Launcher with immense themes (dont want to dig how many)
2. A framework which doesnt conflict with any launcher (for me xperia launcher v3.0)
I am asking this because I dont want 2 launchers in my lightweight "lg p970"

And yes, I searched many a times but there is no info about what it is, just everywhere themes, themes, and themes.
