Hey all, the LCD on my Dell Streak broke and I am looking for a replacement. If you have the LCD either loose or on a scrap Streak, please let me know if you would be willing to sell. I am planning to repair it myself. Just a note, this is NOT the gorilla glass, it is the LCD beneath it.
Thanks
Your best bet would be ebay, i bought a whole replacement unit ( lcd and glass) for 25 pounds and it comes as a sealed unit

That or Amazon. Just bought on from there with tools to replace(LCD & Glass) for about $55 shipped.
i have a brand new one, it was an accidental extra piece i got from ebay.. they shipped 2 instead of one... its sealed and has never been opened....
pm me
I dropped my lgog (e970) yesterday and it got completely demolished
The back is surprisingly untouched but the lcd is cracked in several places.
The phone is now unresponsive to any touch event whatsoever.
The prices to have it replaced professionally are simply beyond by means, so I'm considering doing it myself since I have experience with phone repair. My question is: Is the LCD/digitizer for the e973 the same component as it is for the e970? I ask because on eBay e973 lcd/digitizers are 60-80 dollars but the cost is more than twice that for the e970.
Thanks in advance,
h
You'll have to buy an e970. Our phone is different than the rest. We have a shorter yet wider and square shape.

Darn! Thank you for answering.
As a buyer trying to decide between a LG G3 or LG G4 or Samsung S5, I have been reading online that the LG G3 has a defective case design that results in cracks that are not a result of drops and abuse.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-lg-g3/general/lg-replacing-g3s-cracks-microphone-t2875512
Has LG re-engineered and redesigned upgraded NEW parts that will NOT crack once the fix has been applied?
Or, is LG just replacing defective cases with the same defective parts that will eventually crack again?
What is LG's current process and timeline and customer costs associated with this repair?
If taken to a Sprint corporate store, what is Sprint's current process and timeline and customer costs associated with this repair?
Thank you.
PS
I refuse to use a case with the G3 because it is already TOO WIDE from left to right.
70mm or less should be the max width of these phones.
I just took my thin case of today to clean under it. I found a few cracks in the back cover as well. Also, the stock blueish camera lens scratch real easy. I have replaced lens a few times already with aftermarket ones, that don't scratch near as easy.

What color is your LG G3?
Please let us know the how your repair works out.
Thanks.
I had cracks in my Sprint G3 and sent it in to LG and they fixed it free of charge. At first they said I had to pay for shipping there, but then I sent them pictures and the they sent me a shipping label. Phone came back in a little over a week crack free and charged nothing.
i have broken my vs985 screen and i need to know where to buy orginal white frame including the lcd and digitzer i have viewd much in amazon and ebay but im not sure if they are the same quality as the orginal can an any one help me plz
Hi all,
Recently I had an accident in which my G5 was dropped and the glass shattered. The good thing is the glass broke only in the upper area around sensors, and the display area is just cracked so I can use the phone.
Now, the situation is that I am in Indonesia currently, where the G5 SE is sold, not regular G5 which I have. I went to the service center and they told me the spare parts are not the same which is real surprise for me, because I thought the only difference is in the processor, not external hardware differences.
I checked in some regular phone service stores and they also say they can't get the part.
I would like to order it, but wouldn't like some knock-off screen with bad colors from ebay, so I would like your suggestion how to solve this issue the best way, because I won't be going to Europe till New year. So can I order from LG somehow?
Also, is it possible to replace the glass only because the LCD is working fine? They told me it's glued together so you have to replace the whole LCD.
Thank you.
Regards,
It dont look easy to split glass and lcd. Take a look here https://youtu.be/bS9mtqfGTGI
I am happy to see the screen is glued now and not with tape like it was on g3, becuse on g3 the tape failed and glass started to fell of by itself.
