My LG G3 got a lot hotter than usual while on the charger. But I thought it would cool down if I just let it continue to charge and just put it to sleep. When I woke up today I saw a 2 hairline cracks on my screen and I called LG and explained what happen they set up a RA. Will they actually repair my phone or will they try to charge me? Has this happen to anyone else

If it's under warranty, they'll repair it. If it's not, they'll charge you to repair it.
It's under warranty but I'm scared they will say it's physical damage

Just stick to your story and keep referring to it as a manufacturer defect, or pretty much anything that makes it clear it was their fault.
Okay. I hope they do repair or replace my device. I love LG they make great phones they just need to own up to their issues

This is the corner where the light bleed issue is.
What are the chances that a stress point from bad manufacturing can cause this?
I've sent the unit back to ASUS servicing centre and their engineers are checking whether its user fault or manufacturing. (i'm pretty damn sure my bed didnt do this while i'm showering).
I've seen LCD damage that was a result of impact and it had crack lines from the impact point. Any suggestions/opinions on how this came about?
man that **** looks weird... no damage on the outside at all?
and you sure no one dropped it while you were in the shower?
Aww That is a cracked lcd panel. In my experience warranty never covers this, sadly... Guess you have to try to argue with Asus, if you`re 100% sure it wasn`t dropped etc.

This.
Sucks. Have a dog? Cat? GF? LCDs don't crack under normal usage. Was it exposed to the humidity from the shower?
doublepost
i was the only one at home at that time .. sigh.
Out of the blue, for NO apparant reason, my display screen is suddenly full of "snow". The phone itself is working properly because I have the HDMI out cable and I can see everything working properly when I use my TV as an external display. While using the HDMI/external display, the touch-responsiveness is normal.
I did do one hard/factory reset, that did't fix anything. I get a similar screen when the phone is in the OFF position and charging (when you should normally just see the picture of a green charging battery icon.
I know this looks like the symptom of an impact or some other physical damage, but I take SUPER good care of all of my devices and there is no way that I caused any damage to it. Earlier today, I was using the phone and all was well then I put the phone in my pocket. About 3 mintues later, I pull it out of my pocket and this is what I see!
Has anyone seen anything like this? I bought this phone about 6 months ago from expansys-usa, so I assume it's under warranty, but if there's ANYTHING I can do here myself, I'd rather take care of it here.
I'm a fairly advanced ROM flasher and am pretty comfortable taking phones apart and getting them back together, but I don't want to open this one up if it will void my warranty with expansys/Samsung.
I welcome help/advice/thoughts.

Best thing for you to do if you've got warranty is flash a stock from specific to your product code like you got it. delete everything on your SD card related to Modding and get a replacement for your warranty. Looks like hardware problems

I noticed today that when I tried to hit "e" button, it would hit "w" or "r" which was getting annoying. I thought maybe my build (Epinters JB) might have been having some problems.
Well after some reasearch, it looks like a line of my touchscreen is not functioning. Here is a screenshot from the Dev Tools "Pointer Location"

So my question is what options do I have... is it game over for my lovely Atrix? is this a fixable problem?
Thanks for the help!
The same thing happened on my EVO 3D. I replaced the digitizer and LCD and it works fine now. If you feel up to it you could purchase the parts and replace it yourself.

I don't think there's any need to replace the LCD. Just the digitizer and it should be fine.
Where can I find the proper item? Did you follow specific directions?

You can find it in ebay, search for 'atrix digitizer', a friend of mine bought one a few months back for less than 40 USD.
As for how to do it, here is a good tutorial.
I purchased an oem one http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0053EYGEO/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00 I bought one before and it was not oem. Attracted more fingerprints, broke rather easy, and didnt have tint where the sensors were. So I recommend paying the extra couple bucks for oem. The seller I got it from (Seller1on1) actually issued me an RMA because i broke the ribbon cable by mistake. Which definitely scored some serious brownie points. Just be careful you don't buy an inferior or refurbished product.
Hi All,
I cracked sgs3 screen yesterday. The touch screen still worked. I bought new glass and fitted it.
I was very careful in not putting pressure on the digitizer.
I put it back together and now the touch screen wont work. The only thing that it could
be is the light-sensor-ribbons buttons. When removing the glue the the ribbon came away with it.
Could this be why the touch screen wont work?
Thanks in advance

It wasn't an intentional bump. I've got so much help and advice from this site.
Thanks for helping me with solving the problem tho.....Oh wait a minute.......
you're welcome
I think perhaps you should find a mobile repair shop. Rather than us here at XDA blurting out random guesses as to what it can be, it's much better to take it to someone who can get their hands on it and use their knowledge and equipment to tell you what it is.
If I tell you it's the ribbon and you buy a replacement but it doesn't resolve the issue, you'd not be happy
Definitely this is something that benefits from hands-on troubleshooting.

Hello everyone!
So yeah, I have a big problem, my Xperia U fell in the water (not salty) yesterday and I don't know if it's still working because I haven't tried turning it on since. I've immediately removed the back and bottom cover and the battery of course. Luckily, the SIM card was out already. I didn't put my phone in rice or anything, so I'm asking you what's the best method to save my phone, I mean, if it can be saved at all?
Thanks!
there is a chance that something got damaged but u can try the rice method it really dries all water in the phone

Thank you so much! I will try it now

Yeah, I am so glad I got it back to life because I want to sell it and buy a Nexus 4 or something. Rice really does miracles
