Its working fine on my end now, i reverted the audio mods. I tried to cheat and use my nexus mods but it looks like ill be writing them from scratch for this phone.

do i need to flash oxygen official based first before flash yours ?

I've been flashing for years but new to this phone as of yesterday. I've rooted, unlocked, and installed twrp. Is there anything special I need to do to flash this. I'm still on stock 4.4.4

Nope, this rom will flash the firmware needed to run.

Just flash the rom in TWRP and reboot.
