Hello guys,
as some of you may know, there was a bug in which when camera app was started, it appeared only a black screen and the camera buttons. So i've had this problem in months, but in the last 2 weeks, the camera stopped working at all.
I didn't reinstaled the android via SEUS, cause i've waited for lollipop to come, hopping that it will solve the problem.
Today, the update came, i have now android 5.0 but guess what? The camera STILL doesn't works.
So please if any of you had this problem and know how it can be fixed ....
Thank you.
any help anyone? i've tried everything - wiping cache, clearing data, force stop, disableing camera, nothing seems to work. Should i try a repair via seus? Does that helps better than updating to lollipop through the same method? no one seems to know anything else besides clearing app cache. If it helps, any other camera applications, doesn't work

I went to use the camera for the first time after updating with new rooted ver. 2.3.4 and does not work. Mirror and Camcorder also does not work. I figured they all tied together anyway.
Anyone else having this problem.
I am about to do a cache clear and flash rom again. I will report shortly, if this fixed it.
Update: I cleared cache via recovery and flashed Rom again and it solved the problem. Man I had few issues with 2.3.4. Nothing really major that was not a quick fix. I hope they send out another update. Hahahaha...
Hello,
I have a sony ericsson xperia x10 at&t phone which I unlocked and have rooted, i also upgraded it 2.3.3 from 2.1 successfully. Initially it was good. However, after few weeks it is having system problems. Whenever I am on a call, or using net or camera, the phone gets switched off and a message is shown a ANDROID SYSTEM - POWER OFF. I don't know if i have to downgrade to 2.1 or is it battery related issue. i dont have no clue what to do.
If anyone can suggest me what to do, it would be very helpful. Also please give step by step instructions, if possible. Appreciate it.

Are you rooted and unlocked? do you have a custom recovery. Clear cache and dalvik cache from the recovery.

After I rooted my phone, I found out that the camera, video player and YouTube would not work. The video would not play, but the audio would be heard. Finding on a thread that its the ROM, I unrooted my phone.
This is where the problem starts. Heaps of background apps would keep coming up saying its not responding. These background apps are android.process.acore (which I stopped by clearing user data on the contacts and contacts manager apps); LogsProvider (which I may have solved by clearing the app out of its user data); Messaging (haven't solved yet) and most importantly, Software Update.
This may have been caused because I followed a guide on the galaxy s2 root website (sorry I can't link outside links yet), which unrooted my phone, but put me back to 4.0.3, when my phone was 4.0.4
Now I can't update my phone at all, with either Kies or the system app. May someone please help me? I really want to stay away from a factory reset, and sorry for the long details.
EDIT: Software Update just checked for updates randomly out of nowhere, but now it doesn't find an update for 4.0.4. It's really strange. And Messaging is crashing constantly.
Do a factory reset
BTW did u flash 4.0.4? If yes then flash another kernel via Odin
When I updated my phone to 4.0.4
I had alot of bugs and everything fc

I am kinda a newbie to rooting, but I think I did flash it, but I kept finding unofficial leaked kernels of 4.0.4 on the net, which all looked suspicious.
And also if your advice is to factory reset, can you please give a quick guide on how to backup everything easily on a non-rooted phone, and also how to factory reset?
EDIT: I factory-reset my phone, with everything now back normal except for one thing. Before, I was able to update to 4.0.4 directly after updating to 4.0.3, but after this problem was solved, it bought me back to 4.0.3, and now won't find 4.0.4.
It's really annoying, as I liked 4.0.4's new features, especially the Wi-Fi connection bug fix and the battery level option. But now that it can't detect it, it's made it very sucky. I can't connect to Kies because the program won't recognise my S2 (even though it has Kies 2.0 compatibility)
Hi all,
Please, please, please can someone help me.
I have a Galaxy S3 i9300 and have installed [ROM][AOSP][JB][4.2.2][JDQ39] SuperNexus 2.0 - I9300 - BUILD 4 [03-04-13]
I absolutely love it, the battery drain is minimum. 4 hours with 90% remaining, astonishing!
I have one major problem, when I launch the Camera my screen goes black (i.e. the Camera APP launches) and the phone instantly resets!
I have tried a different Camera.apk but the same thing happens.
I have re-flashed the ROM several different times trying everything I can think of, deleting Cache. Dalvik Cache and deleting Data/Factory Reset, Formatting System, Formatting SDCARD then installing from External SD, everything I can think of with the same result. The ROM runs beautifully just the Camera Resets the phone every time.
I hope that someone can help me as I really want to use this ROM but no camera is a Deal Breaker for me.
Oh I have tried a few other ROMS like crDroid, ParanoidAndroid, Slimbean, STOCK obviously but none of those suffered this issue.
If I can't resolve this is there any other ROM like this I should try?
Thanks in advance for your much needed help.

As the rom chef for help, probably a framework issue in the build.

I have the same issue as mentioned above. Launching the camera (even through Instagram or other apps) resets the phone. The flashlight app also resets the phone. Is there any method to solve this issue?
I do not have access to post on the Development forum. Can anyone help me out?
Thanks.

Hi all, have another two Kyocera brigadier come to me with camera problem. One is rooted and another one is unrooted.
But they have the same error when using camera "unable to launch camera application". Tried google camera and its said "cannot connect to camera"
All phones have this problem suddenly.
Anyone have the same problems? All I can think is reflash the firmware but there's no oem rom for this handheld.
Thanks
Wipe cache and see, if doesn't work then perform a wipe data
Did that already. But the problem still persists.
