Ok, I have a Samsung Galaxy s4.just got lollipop and thought that the notifications would be more of a pop up at top after the update. But it seams that my notifications are only changed in the drop down menu. Is this all that happens? Cause I was expecting more.

There are apps that can add the functionality back in. I use Floatify.

Has anyone looked into removing the ongoing WiFi notification and adding back the WiFi toggle? Not sure how this was done on the S3 and Note 2, but I assume it's possible here as well.
wrong thread.

Do this, open the notification bar and long press the the ongoing wifi until App Info pops up then tapon force close. It will come back every time you reboot or if you connect to another wifi.

my multi window tab seems to randomly disappear, if i go into settings though and uncheck/check the box it comes back. Is there something i'm missing or is like android killing the service?

When I first bought my Gear S, the screen lit up when I looked at it. Now if I raise my arm it remains dark unless I press the home button. Any ideas?

Check your motion settings.
To enable or disable the Wake-up gesture:
► On the Apps screen, tap Settings > Motions and tap Wake-up gesture.
Ok, figured it out. Had to restart the watch after adding new apps.

SO a few nights ago I noticed a strange an new icon in my notification bar. I was wondering if anyone else has seen this or know what it is?
see attchment
Also my wife has the exact same thing on her S5
It's got to be one of your apps giving you notifications.
Anything further down in the process menu or under the "All" apps tab that may give you a clue?
Not that I can tell, I started killing off the ones that I know and went from there. Still no effect.
Can you click on it?
No I've tried nothing happens, if I do get again I will kill more apps and see what happens

Over the weekend I upgraded to Marshmallow, and more or less it is going well. However, yesterday this new icon showed up. Not sure if it is a system icon or an app icon. Thanks.

I'm running your Imperius kernel, and I can't seem to find where to turn it off in the normal settings screens. Googling T-Mobile and Volte shows where to turn it off on other phones, but those settings aren't there on mine. I'll reflash your kernel and see if that fixes it.

Open dialer, tap 3 dots at top, call settings and you'll see the toggle
Kernel is the cause of it showing. Happened on past firmwares too then went away but seems it's back again
