I have this same issue too, and I think every S3 user has it with any OS above 4.3

[Q] How to get Skype working on Omni ROM?

Hi guys,
I have Omni JB4.3.1 on my P7500 (p4) and it is working very smoothly.
However, every time I start up Skype, it crashes after 5 seconds.
Is this a common problem?
Is there a fix for this?
thanks
HaMaHe
Hi!
I have the exact same problem on my P7500...
But i'm running Ganbarou V4.05.
My plan for tonight was to try another ROM but since you are running a different ROM I have to rethink that...
It appears that the newer version of Skype is problematic on all 4.3 roms on the Galaxy Tab. Take a look in the InfamousPAC thread and someone's uploaded an older version that seems to work well.

Soryuu, Thanks for your help!
I tried with the older Skype version today and it worked perfectly...

Lags after flashing gapps

Hello guys,
I rooted my Xperia sp and unlocked the bootloader by the official way. Then I installed custom roms ranging from CRYSTAL PA and AOKP NON OFFICIAL.
Everything runs smoothly without a hint of lag, till I flash gapps. After flashing gapps, everything gets clunky, the soft keys take a long time to respond and fps drops too. This only happens after flashing the gapps. Even apps take a long time to load and mobile hangs for a couple of minutes.
I've tried to flash other gapps related to the custom rom (android 4.4.4) but same story. I've changed custom roms too but can't figure out the lag.
I download the gapps zip files from

Any help guys? I even tried to run seeder and lag fix but no use.
Help will be highly appreciated ?

GAPPS Issue with P760

Hi guys ^^
I've been using Mokee for a lot of time but the bugs that kept bothering me never got fixed and the updates for p760 stopped coming out so I thought to myself "time to change my ROM".
I've tried to flash both Paranoid 4.6 and the newest stable version of Nameless ROM but with both of these my recovery (artas's TWRP) refused to flash GAPPS. I used the recommended gapps and later on tried CM gapps. Both just showed me an error that it can't be flashed. Am I doing something wrong?
I do a full wipe before flashing the ROM. I would be so thankful for help ^^

I keep getting sluggish/slow and unstable experiences from KitKat and Lollipop roms

I've tried some kitkat and lollipop roms but a few days after installing the roms my phone starts getting annoyingly slow and sometimes apps will just close in the background. Does this mean my phone's RAM and CPU can't handle the version of Android I put on there?
I honestly don't have time to try out every rom available for the S3 to find out which one is fastest on this device. I just want a fast light-weight rom on my phone which won't get sluggish. It seems the latest official Samsung rom is Jellybean so would you guys recommend I use that? Will any of the third party JellyBean roms perform similarly? Will anything above JellyBean be sluggish?

Currently running latest Archidroid (clean install) and it got slow after about 2 days and apps often close for no reason.
Before this I had CyanogenMod 11 (clean install) and it got slow after about month.
Before that I had whatever stock rom the phone came with. I think it was IceCreamSandwich and I don't recall it being slow.
I may have tried some other roms in between (can't remember). I had the same problem with my previous phone when I flashed a newer version of android the performance suffered a lot. So to me it seems like I need to settle for a version of android that my phone can handle resource-wise.

I have also tried Cyanogenmod and it did run well in my S3. You can also give a try on Blisspop ROM, Omega omni and Omega(Stock based) ROMs. I recommend you to try Bliss pop latest stable version.
Make sure you wipe System and Data via recovery before flashing new ROMs.
If you had installed Games of huge memory, their obb files would still be there in the internal memory after flashing a ROM. So try cleaning off the unwanted obb files.
Try flashing minimal gapps which takes less memory.

I'm not sure why my phone gets so slow then. Maybe it's one of my apps that causes it. I guess I can try BlissPop and then only install my apps as I need them. It looks like the latest stable version is 5.1.1 yet I can only see v4.0.1 on their website.

Yes. Blisspop 4.0.1 is the latest stable version which is Android 5.1.1. Install minimal Gapps. Use Greenify app to hibernate less used apps.

Hi,
Currently, there are some battery drain issues on CM13 builds, this will hopefully be solved in future builds. The only way to solve is to downgrade to CM12.1 or KitKat or Stock 4.1.2 ROM.

There is no such thing as a "stable" build from cyanogenmod. CM changed their release naming a while ago so we only get nightlies or snapshots.
For CM12.1, use the builds from CNBLACK or MARKOX89. While they are "unofficial', they are certainly stable under my usage.
