I will look into this asap - it may not work with any other sound mods if you had any installed already?
Thanks man - I was really excited for a moment there haha... I'm using AndroPlusKernel v 51 it's using some kind of sound feature taiko_control or something, but I'm not sure if that's what's causing the problem or how to revert back to stock.

Thanks for the feedback really appreciate it - do you have any idea on how to do that without using flash tool? Is it even possible?
I just flashed twice and nothing are different. Everything stock rooted
Thanks for your awesome work here and with the dual speaker mod, pricey2009!
How similar is yours to the one found here? http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3/development/stereo-speakers-sound-mod-v3-2-z323-0-1-t3015912
As you've already cautioned, I'll have to revert/remove the above linked mod before I flash yours in order to avoid any conflicts. Haven't gotten around to it yet, but I'll definitely test it out to compare at some point.

This mod is different to that one, I have implemented libs sourced from different devices and added things like HTC beats which that one doesn't include.
Please once you have tested it can you provide some feedback?
Thanks!

For sure, man. Just waiting to have some time off to fool around and test it in the proper environment.
Hi, great mod, but unfortunately, I'm having some problems. I have .690 generic prerooted image and, as soon I flash this, I get FC on google maps, I cannot use it.
I'm the only with that problems?

This is very strange, I can't see anything that would affect google maps or even any of their apps in anyway..
Try clearing the data/cache for Google maps and see if you still get the errors..
(thanks for you feedback btw, much appreciated)

Also please can some people try this with the latest FW versions and provide feedback on whether it works or not?
I believe it should work fine, as Sony have not changed any of the files I have modded as far as I can see so far.
Thanks!

Source: Android™ Ice Cream Sandwich beta ROM available for unlocked 2011 Xperia™ smartphone models
Official thread by Kalle: [ROM] Official Sony Xperia ICS Beta ROM for arc S, ray, neo V
As a follow-up to the previous alpha, Sony has released the official beta of the upcoming ICS update for 2011 Xperia models. Unfortunately, this beta is currently only available for Xperia arc S, Xperia neo V and Xperia ray and they must be already running the latest firmware (4.0.2.A.0.42).
What's new?
Updated UI – We hope you will be happy to see that we have added a number of UI elements from ICS, as well as some new UI features already introduced in the Xperia™ S we announced in January.
Lockscreen and Face Unlock – We have added a shortcut to the camera directly from the lockscreen. Also, when you’re listening to music you can control the music player without unlocking the phone by using the music control icons on the lockscreen. In the coming final ICS upgrade, we will also include the face unlock app from Google for all phones that has a front-facing camera. The Face Unlock feature uses the front-facing camera in combination with advanced object recognition algorithms to provide a new way to unlock the phone. However, since Face Unlock is a Google Mobile Services (GMS) app, it is not included in this ICS beta ROM.
Connectivity turned on – Since we published the ICS alpha ROM, the GSM modem and FM radio have passed the certification and type approval, and they are therefore turned on in this ICS beta release.
Updated email client – The UI has been updated, and simplified email management has been added.
Quick dial – We have added a quick and easy way for you to make phone calls. See how it works in the ICS beta ROM demo video.
Please note that the Google Mobile Services (GMS) apps (for example Gmail, Google Maps and Face Unlock), Bluetooth™ and Wi-Fi™ are not included in the beta release due to that they are still waiting for the certification and type approval to be finalised.

Hi op, thanks for that um question:
1. If I install with cwm, does the beta default kernel needed? I'm using aire's kernel is that a problem?
2. Is rooting can be done with using rootxperia.zip from fxp?
3. Can we flashback to gb from cwm without touching kernel?
4. Andy, sorry if I ask you this, but just to be sure, what's your changelog for the cwm zip?
Thanks a bunch

Beats Audio (New Modules) + xReality (Bravia Engine 3) + xLoud (New Modules): LINK
Beats Audio from HTC Devices! Bravia Engine 2 and xLOUD from Sony Smartphones! Now for your Phone
Works for other devices too. Although Android 4.0+ Required
MOD contains:
1. The simply amazing Beats Audio which undoubtedly gives fantastic sound!
Audio enhancement technology by HTC for its phones. Best noticeable in headphones.
2. The Vivid And Colorful Bravia Engine 2 which decorates the screen with all the colors there are!
Better photo quality on the mobile display , adjusts brightness, saturation, colors by Sony.
3. The Briliant xLOUD Audio Filter makes sure you hear only what you should as it removes the disturbances.
Audio filter technology by Sony, it should increase clarity at loud volumes.
Want something Specific? Don't want everything? Fine then Just Flash what you need.
If you want to flash two or more of the separate .zip files, then Don't worry you can do that in any order.
Although there is one Requirement, you need BusyBox Installed.
Installing it is no big deal just install this app. And then download the files by "Normal Install" (An option inside the BusyBox app).
Once that is completed, Download the MOD from Post no. 2.
Now Place the .zip file (MOD) on the root of your SD Card. In simpler words directly place the files on the SDCard and not into any folder.
Next Reboot into Recovery Mode and Flash the .zip file (MOD)
DONE! MOD Installed.
Now Start your Phone the First Boot after flashing MAY take a while. Once that is completed you should see a new "Awesome beats" app in your App Drawer. You can configure your Beats Audio from there!
As for xLOUD and Bravia Engine they are already active!

I'll explain this again for you. :good: Whenever you Flash any ROM or any MOD which makes some changes or edits or adds an app or a system file, then the "Android Is Upgrading. Starting Apps..." Comes. So after Installing this Mod it will for sure appear on the first Boot.
Now the thing is I did not get what you were trying to say. Whether on only one boot after installing the MOD does Starting Apps...(Android Is Upgradding message) comes OR on every single Boot that Message comes?
yes

which one is recommended for CDMA?
Lupus v8 or turbo 3.1 your choice. Those are the only jb kernels I run
tested this rom..fast and smooth. free ram about 160 on lupus v8 480p..bubbled,xposed and other things i didnt like...better release it as flashable addons..it makes the rom soft reboot from time to time and freeze.
sound is super low..strange..maybe some libs are missing.
camera is nice,i may borrow it to my rom if you give me permission.overall is a good rom.
Yeah no problem. I actually have the xposed stuff removed in the next version. But will check on the sound.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction... only questions would be which FXP should I use for this ROM? it reads one for FXP228 and FXP230 and above for CM10.
Use the fix for fxp 230 and above. As gsm is based on 234.

I've made some screenshots for you: http://drops.frontender.ch/bB6d/58nsASyn
The overall feeling of this ROM is great... it's smooth, fast and battery life seems to be very good.
What didn't/doesn't work for me is:
- Setting custom quick actions (in actionbar (like toggeling sound etc.))
- Using custom kernel from Aroma installer (but it's a kernel problem...I can't use any rom using the Phantom kernel)
- Launcher is restarted nearly every time it's opened
Beside that, I really like the ROM - especially the AROMA installer is very fine granular and you really only get what you want.
PS: If you could include Sony's Backup & Restore App that'd be great

Thanks. I've installed this ROM as well but I found it a bit laggy, not sure if 'mount SD as internal' contributing to the lag. Did you enable 'mount SD as internal' mod?
Cheers.

No I've not enabled this mod as I found it not to work very well on the ROMs I used before...so I didn't.
About the performance...my "expectations" may just be low..because beside the PACMAN ROM I've not found any ROM smooth yet (compared to how things went on HD2, DHD, Meizu MX etc.) -- so I'm happy if a XGO ROM is more or less smooth

I see. I should give it a try one more time without the SD mount as internal feature.
Thanks again.
I've installed this ROM as well, no lagging but there is no boot animation..after sony logo disappear just black screen with little blink dot in the middle..a little bit lagging in first boot after flashing this room

The Quick Settings don't seem to work on the XGO, I don't know why? Has someone got them working? I will remove them in the next update. I tried Lidroid Custom Toggles instead, but there are still some problems.
The Phantom Kernel works fine on my device. Do you have an unlocked bootloader?
Can you explain a bit more what happens with the launcher? I've never had problems with it.
I like the AROMA installer a lot, it's the main reason why I made this ROM. Because everyone likes other settings and apps, I thought a more customizable ROM than the currently available ones was needed.
Backup & Restore is already included as you can see in my screenshots, but currently it's not enabled by default.

I don't know what happened with the boot animation. Personally, I like it better without it, but I will try to get it back. The first and second boot can take some time, but from then on it should be smooth.
I will upload the next version with some small fixes tomorrow. At the moment, the biggest change will be in the AROMA installer. It will save the selected options and automatically select them the next time, for easier updating. Suggestions for other enhancements are very welcome.
the best complete ROMs .. I think the lag comes from phantom kernel .. flash back Phantom kernel..the lag will be gone ..it worked for me..

One small bug I found was during the selection of the Kernel, although I choose Phantom performance but in the summary, it's written as Phantom powersaver.
You may want to include 'Seeder' as it really speed up the whole things after I installed it.
One more thing, I found the responsiveness of the screen is very low compared to the stock, if you can fix it then it would be awesome!

The intall log will show Phantom Performance in version 1.1. Thanks for noticing.
According to this article, Seeder has a lot of drawbacks. It seems to me a bad idea to include it, but if more people request so, I will reconsider it.
P.S.: I'm uploading version 1.1, it should be ready in an hour.

Thanks for the link. I was using a CrossBreeder as well in my XZ but in XGO, the entropy value is not increasing but with Seeders, it increased from 100 over to 4096. It is fine if you think it do more harm than good, for those who want to use it they will know where to get it.
You can consider to include JDWALKER's build.prop tweak as well.
Cheers.

Just to confirm something. If I'm in a stock .28 (full rom) rooted, with xposed... Flashing this will de bloat my current rom?
Or should I perform a factory reset before flashing your rom?
Thanks!
Working like a charm on c6603 LB, fastest and smoothness than others rooms. Thanks!
Edit: Can we change that strange boot animation for stock one?

Yes it will debloat your current rom.
As per the instructions, do NOT do factory reset or wipe user data.

Willing to try this but I'm curious. "Heavily debloated". What did you remove? Perhaps you could make a list of all the things you removed? Hopefully it's not too much to ask.
Rom works really good, especially the audio mod and Dolby. The xposed didn't work for me at first, I have to flash it separately. The only thing I see missing from the debloat that I normal use is Email app for work. But Gmail can replace it.

The Xposed you should only need to install the apk again, the framework is the only thing integrated in the ROM..
As for the Stock email app, I have added a zip to first post for people who want to restore it.
Thanks Pricey, u are very responsive and very helpful.

@pricey2009 so this rom works as an update? Does it mean that we can't do a clean flash with it?
if possible, what can I wipe before flashing to make a clean flash?

Yes, essentially it is like an update, but it removes alot of stuff (see the debloat list)
Just wipe cache & dalvik cache and it will be fine
