Do you use Google voice at all? Could you have possibly blocked him on accident? A screen on and didn't realize and just happened to touch that specific key sequence? Stranger things have happened.

Hi ppl, I wanted to know what is the best call blocking app for Note II (Rooted) ?
I had sony experia X10i android 2.1 (rooted) 2 years ago and I had an app called "root call blocker" which was the best app for call blocking because when ever the blocked person called it used to tell that "the person you r trying to call is out of reach" without even ringing for 1-2 sec. And now I have used many call blockers but all ring for 1-2 sec and then "the person your are trying to call is busy".
And now everybody knows that this means that they are being blocked.
Is there any app that gives better call blocking?

I love afirewall
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lianyun.afirewall.inapp&hl=de
It has so many options and setings and can be hidden so there is no icon and only if you dial a predetermined phone number the firewall options will open.
I have never seen better than RootCall blocker / Call master (Both from same developer). Using since it was beta nearly 2yrs ago.
Root call blocker is the best imo !

Forward your voice call 'when busy' to non existing number.
It will be better if you can have caller tune, bcoz caller tune usually takes time to starts also you can set caller tune with blank part initially. After this blocked caller never get even fraction of ring and will get msg 'number you are dialling doesn't exist' as you have forwarded to non existing number.

I am using this setup since rcb was beta (I have got full rcb that time by just donating 1usd) and never failed. Since I was on Nokia using only contact profile to live peacefully. But if only one thing I am still missing then it is ivcm, till today android doesn't have any sw even near to it.

I would be really obliged if you can tell me how exactly I can forward blocked(blacklisted)people to a non existing number!I have used both call master and rcb but it is really annoying when the person calling you hears a ring and then is disconnected!

This thing you have to do from call setting of device not from rcb
Select call setting - additional - call forwarding - forward when busy - now enter any non existing number.
Now from rcb select profile not in contact and select action busy tone.

But the sad thing is i dont have any other people on my contact list that i can vutalk with except my girlfriend...

It gives you the ability to draw stuff you can share with the person you're talking to. I've personally disabled it, as it uses some RAM

To disable it (and you can do this without root) go into settings - general - apps - all and scroll all the way down to the bottom. You will find vutalk there. Press on it and disable it. And yes it will remain disabled even after reboot.

We are getting off-topic...but, i'll answer
Viber needs only a few KB/s (or MBs for calls) . Other apps need more ( i don't use and don't know about what's up)
It doesn't need an account. (for hangouts you need to have your friends gmail / fb needs ...fb accounts )
And you can do some funny staff. Draw/emoticons/sound clip
I looked through all the settings and didn't see where this is.... when people call me it says "such and such calling" Any way to disable this? Or anyone know if I enabled it somehow?!>!

If I'm not mistaken, but you could have something turned on under accessibility menu.

If u uncheck this it will not read the name of the caller out loud. Hope this helps since no one seemed to know the answer.

I actually just posted a thread similar to this. I found out you can turn it off but you have to turn off voice control as well. The thing is I like to sometime answer calls with voice control because my hands are busy or in the shower or whatever...
With my previous phones(S4, Note 2), I could turn the caller ID voice prompt off independently and still have the voice control feature. But with the S5, it's both or nothing. I'm hoping I missed something but I've looked and looked...
But if you don't need both features, you can turn both off together but not one or the other(call settings > answering and ending calls > voice control).

Hello, I have a problem with my Galaxy A5, so, I would enable the reactivation lock and remote control in settings but I can't when I click on the box I am asked to type the password of my Samsung account, so I type my password, then I check the top, enabling location services, after, I leaving the settings and I return to the settings and I see that the reactivation lock is disabled so I just activate it!
I tried to remove my Samsung account but nothing ... Who have the same problem?
I do not understand why I have this problem ... If anyone can help me ...
Thanks in advance
I tried both on kitkat and they both can be activated just fine... I think it must be a lollipop bug
