Webgl is disabled on chrome.
I want to confirm if other users are having this issue. I enabled webgl in chrome://flags, but chrome://gpu still shows webgl as disabled. You can go to get.webgl.org to confirm if your webgl is working.
Steps
1) check on get.webgl.org to see if webgl is enabled
2) if no, go to chrome://flags and enabled webgl option
3) revisit get.webgl.org to confirm
4) note down your carrier, and chrome version
I have the att galaxy s6 edge g925a, webgl disabled. Chrome 41.9.2272.96
This isn't a super major issue, but it affects any html5 games that rely on webgl. For example http://www.goodboydigital.com/pixijs/bunnymark/ does not work on my chrome on android. It works just fine on my galaxy s4 same chrome version.

Enabling both still didn't do the trick =(

Official USSD hack list of immune and unsafe ROMs
This will be the official list for ROM's and browsers affected by the USDD code issue and instructions on how to patch it til an official fix is released. Please follow the following steps;
Visit the following link using your phones browser USDD test page
If your MEID info is shown on the screen then the ROM you are using is affected! Download and install TelStop from the Play Store.
After you install the TelStop app visit the test page again. You should now get a "Complete action using" popup with TelStop listed. Select TelStop. You will then receive a warning that this is likely a malicious code.
If your MEID info is not displayed then you are fine.
Report What ROM and browser you used and what your results were.
Source- PCWorld
Affected ROMs (I'm thinking all ICS and older based ROMs are most likely affected unless they are patched)
Stock 2.3 (all releases, all phones)
CM7
Imperium Initiative
peetr's Hybrid
MOF.2.3.5.ish
CM9
Unaffected ROMs
Th3Bill's Jellybean based ROMs (thanks Th3Bill for getting back to me so quick)
Affected Browsers
Stock
Firefox
Opera Mini
Maxthon
Safe Browsers
Opera Mobile gives prompt "Loading of external frame source tel:*%2306%23 suppressed (click to view)"
One thing to mention is that it is the default browser that handles the tel: url. Cm7 stock browser is affected. If you set a different browser as default it will not execute the tel: url. Opera does nothing with "special" URLs like tel:. It wont even open the youtube app when clicking a video link.
Edit: Opera prompts you.

Which Opera, mobile or mini? The sad part is Firefox is affected. I'm installing Maxthon to check it right now.
Edit: Just tested Opera Mini and Maxthon. No good. Opera Mobile came back ok though. Adding results to OP.
Mobile.
It actually prompts you. Says will not display frame. You must click link again to enable.
Exact text:
Frame content not displayed
Loading of external frame source tel:*%2306%23 suppressed (click to view).

I need somebody to check ICS please and report.

Stock Official ICS build FH13 on Galaxy S II E4GT
First was reported that only affected Samsung ICS Touchwiz Devices but no it affect Android All devices almost all browsers. Opera, Chrome, Boat, Fire Fox. Need to test Dolphin but it seem all of them are effected and all android devices
Edit: just tested Dolphin Browser and the code runs through too. So in definition every browser is affected.

Jokers CM9 affected too. What is all this about? What does all this mean?
N/m
Using MOF.2.3.5.ish v1.4 and Dolphin Browser and the test failed. Telstop fixed the problem. Then Lookout Mobile updated to include the same functionality as Telstop (just select Lookout as default action and a safe link will go through to the dialer and an unsafe one will come up with a warning and the option to cancel action or continue)
The Verge report about the exploit.

Some of the comments are hilarious. The thing is that USDD codes are a part of the dialer and have been around for some time. Techs use them on a regular basis so blocking the codes is a bad thing. In some cases USDD codes are the only way to fix some issues in a timely manner. It probably has to do with the ability to dial a number via a webpage but this goes a little too far. A browser should never have this level of access. This IE levels of stupid.
Happened to me I'm on stock mopho 2.3.5 only root access

I am lookink into this problem and this is really only a problem of ussd codes, because ussd does not need to be confirmed.
However providing tel: data type from browser is normal, so you can dial right from it. Any other number must be confirmed by dial button.
The question is, if JB browser is really not affected, or JB dialer just do not handle *#06# ussd code. I did not try it.
There should be exception for usage of * or # marks with VIEW intent, in the dialer I think.
On the other side, from what I know, none of ussd codes, that does not need to be confirmed by dial button, are not interactional with service provider.
These ussd codes are just for running activities. Nothing else. You can run the activity, but you cannot change anything.
If I am mistaken and there exists some ussd code, that does not need to be confirmed and changes something or sends some data somewhere, please tell me.
Hmm, just tried most of codes in my rom. Most of them must be confirmed by dial button or leading to programming menu, where you must enter password or just providing onscreen info about version or imei, etc.
*#*#4636#*#* just starts phone info activity and there is no way to continue browsing this activity from the browser.
My results are, that I don't see any security issue here.
Just watched the video. Samsung and their touchwiz - what more can I say.
One link, if you don't understand, what am I writing about.
http://www.theregister.co.uk/2012/09/25/samsung_flaw/
This is really only Samsung problem and his inability to secure such thing like wiping whole phone by a password.
On MoPho stock 2.3.5. Boat Browser is affected. Interestingly, RoboForm, which has it's own browser is not.

In most cases many folks will be fine as long as they pay attention to what's going on. The other side to this is that the Electrify/Photon family of phones was sold world wide and there are some USSD codes that are specific to the carrier and these codes are generally built into the dialer. If you know what device and what carrier someone is one you can cause a lot of panic. For obvious reasons I'm not going to go into specific examples but those that have pranked somebody using USSD codes know what I'm talking about.
The safest bet for those that are concerned is to use a third party dialer that doesn't process USDD and command codes. I personally use Dialer One as my default dialer.
As many of you already know, Google announced at the I/O 2016 that they are going to merge Chrome os and Android,in simple words they are going to add Google Play Store to Chromebooks.
Even though it's 'Google' who is coming to the party,i still believe that the winning point is still with Jide, the PRODUCTIVITY which Chrome os lacks.
So how do you think Jide can improve the RemixOs into a more productivity focused system that chrome is not capable of..? Feel free to share your ideas
1. Multi-user - Thanks to help from @HypoTurtle, I have multi-user working but it needs some improvements
2. Improved windowing and multi-tasking
3. SIM integration for systems that have data card slots - My Lenovo Twist has a SIM slot and it would be very helpful
4. Portability across laptops/tablets/phones - With a common interface and apps, I think it would def be a winner. I have same layout and apps on my phone and laptop now.
Just a few of my nice-to-haves

So which is best? RemixOs or Phoenix OS?
Which has less gpu issues? can Phoenix OS run Sonic 1 without frame buffer graphical issues like RemixOs and can it run FX-Racer Unlimited
without getting stuck on the loading screen before entering the race track? irc it worked without issue on bluestacks.
Both are based off Android-x86 5.1 so both should suffer from the same issues no???
Android-x86 also has a extra option called "apps compatibility" under settings says something about native bridge and ARM libraries but this option is
missing in RemixOs.

Phoenix runs cooler on my lappy for me(windows still the coolest) but there's some lag when launching/resizing apps, the hdd led will blink a lot, remix a lot smoother. Also on phoenix, sometimes chrome's webpage content will disappear if i open too many apps and take a second to reload when i switch back to chrome(like it swapped to hdd). Also there's no installer for google play services for phoenix as far as i can tell. As for app compatibility, 1 game i tried that worked in remix but didn't work in phoenix and funnily the amazon appstore that remix bundled doesn't work properly but it works flawless in phoenix, so it's pretty spotty.
Sonic is exactly the on Phoenix OS the framebuffer is broken on intel gpu both appear to be using the same gallium driver version.
FX-Racer Unlimited not sure I think i've found out neither Phonenix OS or Remix OS support touchscreen emulation just hardware keyboard + mouse input .so it's not getting any input, you'd think it'd the do mouse in dual / tandem as both touchscreen emulation and regular hardware mouse input.
Hello everybody,
I'm a huge fan of the S7+ and use it every day.
I use Firefox as a browser.
I'm trying to find a way to force desktop mode on web browsing without having to do it manually in the menu for each website.
Can't find a way ...
Thanks for your help.
+1 on that! It's really frustrating - all major web browsers don't offer desktop mode by default. You have to choose this per tab option every time you start the browser. I ended up using Samsung Internet as it was the only browser loading default desktop site versions.
Edit: Opera has this option in settings
There isn't an add on but I believe you can do custom useragent settings using about:config, general.useragent.override if you are running Firefox Beta/Nightly. I have been running this since Tab S4 but have to update the string regularly so it doesn't go out of date on browser version. I am not sure about:config is supported on stable Firefox though.
general.useragent.override not working
i try nightly version,
Any solution? Is there some modded version of firefox?
The N2 Flip came with a few Heytap apps installed that aren't available on the Play Store, or in my region (uk). I don't mind using stock apps but the browser has no privacy/security settings, and the usual green padlock in the address bar shows a shield type icon that when pressed basically says unable to connect to security check services, please refresh. HTML5 test shows the same results as Edge/Chrome in the security report, so I was just wondering how safe is it likely to be?
Here's what I think of the stock browser: it's crap..

I appreciate the feedback, though that wasn't the question.
its crap means its likely not secure and a lot of filtering has already been done.. the heytap from find n & n2 have address filtering that filters western websites and warn u..
