Hi,
Whenever i try to stream ANY video (doesn't matter if it's YouTube or not), it randomly pauses every 10-20 seconds.
This is very frustrating.
Lenovo IdeaTab S6000-F
Please help!

This is normal behaviour when your internet speed is not sufficient to load all data in the required time, it's called buffering.

Hi,
I'm sure that that is not the problem.
I know what buffering is etc. (i'm not a noob with this stuff ).
The thing is that, even though the video is buffered completely, it just pauses. It doesn't matter how long i let it buffer.
Thanks for responding tho
PS: My internet speed is sufficient (35-40 mbps).

Hmm, maybe you could install the MX Player codecs, which solve some strange video decoding bugs. Otherwise you can try to upload a log file, so others can help you with this issue.

The codex didn't fix it (i'm afraid it only worsened).
I'll try to upload the logs, but you'll need to refresh my memory .
Thanks for responding!

I personally use CatLog instead of aLogcat. Maybe it will help.

Hmm, there is a strange line in your log:
04-15 14:54:43.698 E/MtkOmxVdec(142): MtkOmxVdec::GetConfig Unknown config index: 0x0700000F
I searched the web for it and one solution seems to be installing the latest VLC Player for Android as the problem seems to be a broken/missing video codec. But I am wondering how this could be the problem as you have been able to play the video file (although with random pauses).

I just can't figure why I can't get the video playback right on any flash video. It plays ... got sound ... but the picture flickers badly. Sometimes it seems to play at the wrong resolutions as well. I tried the Dolphin browser and the youtube app, same results.
... ideas ... anyone? Mny Tnx.

You can try and delete flash then download it again from market, also go to flash settings and select only sites I visit (or something like that ). This has solved this issue in some cases. Good luck.!
Hey there,
So I recently flashed my XT1095 to stock+rooted 5.0, and I'm having an issue with GPM. Every time I try to stream a song from my personal backup, it tells me it's unavailable. Downloading music for offline listening works fine, but streaming doesn't. I tried uninstalling updates and deleting data, but nothing. Anyone have a clue as to what could be the issue?
Thank you.
UPDATE: logcat

Try downloading a different app (ie, Spotify) to check to see if streaming works on there.

Here's a logcat of me openng the app and trying to play a track. (P.S.: it works in safe mode!)
edit: it appears to be V4A, which is odd since it worked before I flashed my phone. Let's see.
edit2: yup. Setting it as compatible causes that error.

I'm glad it started working. Android is a unpredictable system and you have to guess and check to see a application is working or not.
Hi.
I just installed OmniROM on my GS3 and everything is working fine. Except the fact that whenever the device tries to play a video, the video area is completely black (I can't see the video at all). Sound plays fine though. This is the same in all applications: Snapchat, VLC and YouTube for example.
Is this fixable?
Best regards,
Andreas.

Yes it is, but by the developer dude. You'll have to wait until he get that fixed.

Okay. When it eventually gets fixed, will it require me to flash the ROM again? And loose all my app cache data?
Thank you.
Andreas.

Hi all,
this is my first video tutorial, hope it helps people like me that had problem installing Android on Switch (bootloops, no root etc).
If you follow exactly the steps and install the same version of each file you'll get Stadia games on switch playable in no time.
Enjoy

It worked! Thanks for the tutorial. My only issue is TV lag while docked. I changed stadia to 720p, but no change in lag. Any advise?

Any idea how to fix youtube buffering ? My internet is strong, i don't have this problem on other devices. Basically when i turn from 720p to 1080p it starts to buffering, any fix for it?
YouTube Vanced - Download YouTube Vanced APK
YouTube Vanced is modded version of YouTube client for Android
youtubevanced.com
Try this
YouTube Vanced is no longer being actively developed and has been discontinued. However, there is an alternative called ReVanced, which is a community-driven project that continues to provide a similar ad-free YouTube experience with additional features. If you enjoyed using YouTube Vanced, you may want to give ReVanced a try.
Alternatively, NewPipe works well, too.
