[Q] infinite bootloop - Sony Xperia Z Ultra

Sorry if I broke any rules, first thread in XDA.
Have an old Z Ultra that was having sim slot issue, It was belong to my bro who recently upgraded to another phone. I factory reset it to wipe any user data or bugs that may cause by 3rd party softwares. immediately after reset, it went to bootloop, it will either stuck just before fully loaded into Android system or just after it. I can't seems to boot to recovery or bootloader to check anything, when pressing the down button with usb cable inserted, the green led blink for a split second then nothing. flash mode with blue LED is fine, I can flash ftf. I tried with PCC repair, the process completed, updated to latest 5.0.2 but again, bootloop, updating Android took dozens of reboot/bootloop to complete. the first time I tried, it managed to boot normally and I could do some setup but when I tried to shutdown, it took forever, so I do power + vol up to force shutdown...the bootloop came back and never boot normally again. I had tried using flashtools with a few different tft, the same thing, bootloop. this is one of the ftf : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2798690
I had read a few threads in Z ultra section, many suggest to flash a ftf or PCC repair, most managed to solved with the aforementioned but not me. I didn't root or unlock the bootloader before, never tried any tweak to the system or any thing that might cause system corruption, ONLY factory reset. is this some hardware issue? but why only after factory reset? had tried several ftf, still the same bootloop. unless the issue is cause by recovery or any other hidden partitions/system that the ftf I tried didn't flash? battery is >80%. no sim I still can use it as display but bootloop, this is as useless as junk.
Anyone can offer a way to fix this?
TIA

[Q] Stuck in bootloop and recovery vanished

Ok, so something seems to have gone very wrong with flashing my phone :S
I managed to get recovery working yesterday, and followed the steps in this thread, http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z2/general/4-4-4-creating-rooted-update-package-t2933155 , to create a pre-rooted 5.0.2 image. I put it on the external SD card, booted into recovery and installed the flashable zip, then used flashtool to flash with the instructions (though I also cleared Appslog, Cache and Data to get a fresh install). This went fine and everything appeared to be ok. I then tried to get the Xposed Alpha installed, but after that whenever the phone was rebooting it just hung if trying to boot to Android. I tried re-flashing with Flashtool, but still got the same issue. Would boot fine the first time, but then any restart it would just hang and crash out. Tried clearing the cache from recovery, but no difference.
So today, I went into recovery, re-installed the flashable.zip, then powered off the phone and flashed using flashtool, just as I had yesterday. Now though, my phone wont boot. It shows the Sony logo, then a blank screen, then restarts. Even worse, it will no longer boot into recovery. I hold the volume down button when the LED shows, nothing. I try holding the volume down button all the way through several bootloops, nothing.
I've tried to re-flash using flashtool which goes through the process ok, I can hold the volume down button and connect the cable once its in the process of rebooting, and it goes through all the process fine. It then powers off as expected and I can just disconnect and power on the phone. But it's still stuck in the bootloop and I don't have TWRP recovery.
Is there anything I can do to get my Z2 working?
Update - Re ran flashtool, this time not excluding system, only Partition. It now gets a little further, going to "Powered by Android" and giving the purple wavy lines, but after a minute or so it just hangs and restarts again. And still no recovery sadly....
I think I've got it sorted...
Used Flashboot again to do a flash, excluding System and Partition. This time the phone does boot up normally. The downside being that my root was gone. Despite my flashing a pre-rooted image, it seemed to just put a stock image on. And my recovery is still mysteriously gone.
In the end, just to get things completely back to a stable/stock starting point for later on, I ran a repair from PC Companion. Seems I was in the none rooted position anyway so figured I'd get myself to a more certain position. At least this way I can wait for someone to come up with a root for 5.0.2 so I can root and get recovery back.

bootlooping, USB debugging off, looping at Sony logo, have only cynagenmod recovery.

Hello everybody~
1. Xperia SP
2. BootLoop
3. Can't get further than Sony logo (it keep restarting so i assume I can't get to recovery screen)
4. USB debug is off
5. I dont have CWM, the last time i see my recovery screen is the cynagenmod recovery.
6. Now I had a problem turning it off...
I would hope to get the phone back alive, if not then at least retrive some of my files from the inner storage.
Worst case, I believe i can bring it to some techs who will break my phone to get the storage physically to do transfer. (not sure if that works??)
additional details:
I flashed a firmware which is by right the firmware for Xposed, xperia SP and that started the boot loop.
At first it can reach the screen of cynagenmod but it kept flashing for an hour, which i concluded that it is a bootloop.
I had wiped the cache partition as well as selecting the factory reset option in the cynagenmod recovery.
I flashed XperiaSP_C530X_12.0.A.1.257_KernelOnly.ftf using fasttool and from then on, bootloop had leveled up, and cant get pass Sony....
Thank you everyone!!
I forgot to thanks in advance~ hahaha
Flash stock ROM mate, always when that happens flash stock ROM. Did you even read before posting?

Soft brick - stuck on Sony logo

Just gonna cut straight to the point.
Wiped my phone to flash a new ROM, selected 'Clean to install new ROM' but instead of then flashing a zip file, i went to Reboot Recovery.
I then hit No, thinking it would take me back to the main menu, but instead it continued to restart, and now it gets stuck on the Sony logo.
I've tried flashing completely stock ROMs and also this one which, those with similar issues has said worked for them, however nothing appears to be working for me.
It does seem to flash successfully, no error messages that i saw in Flashtool, but upon booting up it still get stuck at the Sony logo. Either just Sony (older ROMs) or Sony with Xperia at the bottom (newer ROMs), so i guess the ROM is installing fine, but there's something else that isn't?
The only way to shut down is holding down Power + Vol Up, and there is no LED light (green, purple, red) to notify of anything.
And because of this I no longer have recovery either, where I could just flash a new zipped ROM and be on my merry way.
Any suggestions?
EDIT:
Ok so I hate when this happens, where I figure it out a few mins after I'm made a post (after stuffing around for several hours already).
I've just tried flashing several different ROMs again to no avail, tried once more and checked the two boxes in the Wipe options, seemed to take A LOT longer to flash, but it's now working fine
flash any ftf or chech here

I also in this situation. I cannot go to recovery and stuck at boot logo. Can you point me the right direction? Thank you.

Xperia M4 (e2303) stuck in boot loop- can't get past Sony logo

Here's a timeline:
-Got the phone, worked fine
-Unlocked bootloader, rooted & installed TWRP
-Installed unofficial Android 7 as described here
-After a couple of days I got tired of the bugs and decided to revert to Android 6.
-Installed unbloated rom, can't remember which one
-Phone worked fine.
-After a day or so of use, I rebooted the phone, and it would not go past Sony logo (black text on white background)
Here's what I have tried, in a somewhat chronological order:
-Holding combinations of up/down/power
-wiped dalvik/cache
-reinstalled same unbloated rom
-reinstalled stock rom through Flashtool (tried android 5.0 and 6.0 roms, neither worked)
-Completely wiped OS and reinstalled stock rom- up to this point I could still boot into TWRP
-Relocked bootloader and tried repairing through PC companion (said it was successful, but the phone is still stuck on Sony logo).
This is where I am at now. Any help would be appreciated, if I can provide additional data I will.
Thanks in advance
Edit: I don't know if it is relevant, but the phone always gets really hot- at least 70 degrees, sometimes up to 90 according to TWRP.
If it's stuck on the boot logo it's alive. Can you enter recovery, wipe every single partition and then flash ftf with wiping everything including cust-reset

The thing is, I can't get into recovery through holding the vol up and power buttons. When I do, the phone just vibrates once and reboots (or if I hold it longer, it vibrates 3 times and switches off).
Should I wipe everything through TWRP? Is there a way to wipe through adb?

Hi DavidMKD,
I'd like to answer as well because I'm stucking at the same point but with an E2333.
I've wiped every single partition by TWRP and then flashed with an official ROM downloaded from xperifirm.
No changes at all.
I'm wondering it is hard issue, maybe changing the battery ?
It is true as well that the side under the back camera it's very hot when the phone start.
I didn't find any advices works. The only way to talk correctly with the phone is to flash it or root it, then any OS are unusable, in my case 5 mn max.
If I can help to have another try in your experience...
Thx in advance
Hi guys,
I think I've found a turnover to arrange everything, described in a thread :

Hope it helps

Question Corrupt data partition

So, yesterday my phone turned off on its own and keeps rebooting and gets stuck on lockscreen for 5 seconds until it reboots again. When I try to factory reset using TWRP or OrangeFox, it keeps telling me that my data partition is corrupt. And my phone wouldn't boot for this reason. I've even tried flashing fastboot rom using mi flash tool but the problem persists. Any help would be appreciated.
P.S: I got my motherboard replaced in January as my phone was under warranty. So, I'm afraid it could be a hardware related issue.
If your phone is still under warranty try to have it looked at. Sounds like a HW issue.
Yes it should not crash right after clean flashing fastboot MIUI
