Stuck at Samsung Logo - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note 3

I had and custom rom installed and wanted to go to stock before selling the phone.
Now I'm stuck at the Samsung screen.
I tried :
N900PVPUCNC5_N900PSPTCNC5_N900PVPUCNC5_HOME.tar
N900PVPUDNH7_N900PSPTDNH7_N900PVPUDNH7_HOME.tar
N900PVPUDNK4_N900PSPTDNK4_N900PVPUDNK4_HOME.tar
I'm using odin and all looks good and it says PASSED at the end once it reboots its stuck
Did anyone had similar issue?
Thanks,.

How long did you wait? And what version were you on?

I was on Sacs version 2 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2648900
I believe it was NAB is there a way for me to check that?

Pull the battery, reboot into stock recovery and factory reset.
I would use NK4 tar, as that's the latest before OC5 OTA.

Pull the battery, press and hold volume up + home while holding power button. Phone should boot into stock recovery; use volume up/down to move through list of options.
Select factory wipe (or wipe data, whatever it says) then use power button to select that option.
Once that's complete, select option to reboot phone and it should boot.

Root stopped workign

Hi all,
I just got my i9300 two days ago and LOVE it! Yesterday i rooted via OLIN successfully and restored my apps from my old Evo using Titanium. Today I was prompted for an OTA update and didn't think anything of it so I let it update. Now, it seems, I can't run root aps like Titanium. I downloaded Root Checker and it shows no root access. I rebooted into recovery and I do get the recovery menu (clockwork???) menu on the phone.
What should I do?
thanks!

Wiped Cache and wiped data but when when I connect phone to computer with phone in recovery mode it does not update / re-run the CF-Root program via Olin.
Do I need to copy the CF-Root to the SD card and run directly through the phone? Do I need to pick a particular choice from the phone's recovery menu? Since the phone was rooted when I reboot into recovery it does not go into "download" mode like it did pre root.
Thanks for any help! I see lots of people have read this thread so I'm thinking there are either lots of others that have either had this happened or are looking towards the future so to fix or prevent w/ their OTA update.
Thanks!

Odin question

Recently got a used Galaxy Note i717,went to install the ICS update but it would not update thriough KIES.Find out the previois owner had rooted it so I just install the stock ICS firmware manually following a guide I foiund. One problem, when I hold down POWER + VOL.UP I dont get tge screen that lets you wipe cache and what not.
Phone seems to be.working fine so far, been using it a couple days but what happens when I want to install a custom rom?
Any ideas?
Thanks.
If you put a custom ROM, it will wipe your device, which you have to, for installing a Custom ROM, and all custom ROMs are rooted btw. And yes I stay away from KIES...
You might of lost recovery when you install the ICS firmware. Here is the Super Thread with all the tools and ROMs.>>>http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1740367
If you are rooted, I would put the latest TWRP here>>>http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1647575
Then just find the custom ROM of your liking and download/install on your device, FTW.
The correct procedure to boot into Recovery is :
Hold power + volume up AND volume down until you feel the phone vibrate THEN release the power button (still holding volume up and down). The phone will then boot into Recovery. It should either be " Clockwork Mod Recovery " or "TWRP". There, you can wipe, install, backup, etc.

Thank you, this kind of worked but what showed up was "Android System Recovery <3e>.
Is this Clockwork or TWRP?
The previous owner rooted it but I cant get hold of him to ask him exactly what he did.
Its neither, it's stock recovery.
You have to flash a file from your pc to the phone to replace stock recovery with a custom recovery like CWR or TWRP.

No, just get in download mode and flash the TWRP odin file (I prefer TWRP over CWR). Reboot and you will go into recovery. Take a few minutes to make a backup of your rom.

It comes down to personal preference really ...
As CWM does a fine job as a recovery. But TWRP has many more features for the user, and seems to provide a much better user experience.
TWRP is clearly better supported, without the common outdated "status 7" errors often found in CWM.
Up to you obviously, but it's TWRP for me ....g
^^^^^ well said, Sarge. I was a CWR user for ten phones and tablets, but I tried TWRP on this phone. Its the bomb-diggity.

Yes it does. If you don't want to trip knox you use kingoapp to root. It's real easy to get mj4 and root. If your not on mj4
1) odin the official mi5 package
2) take the ota upgrade
Now your on mj4.

For whatever reason, I had to Odin twice to go back to stock.
Here is what I did:
1. Boot into recovery, wipe everything
2. Odin file, don't check automatic reboot
3. Once its done, pull battery, boot into stock recover, do factory reset
4. Reboot into download mode
5. Odin file again
This is exactly what I did and I received the update.
Edit - I used the original NAB image which was 4.4.2. It then automatically let me update via Sprint to 4.4.4, and then to 5.0
When using Odin, always make sure to power down your phone completely and then press and hold volume down, home and power at the same time. Then press volume up to confirm download mode.

I actually had to Odin 5 times before it would boot the last time I went into recovery and wipe data and factory reset the Odin nk4 tar. It finally booted but still says system status custom so when I check for updates its a no go.
I was running rooted SPRINT KK 4.4.4 N900PVPUDNK4 and now I'm on Lollipop w/ root and TWRP 2.8.6.1 (4.4.4 version) recovery. My steps:
1. Odin'd stock NK4 tar using Odin3 v3.09 in the AP slot (kept Auto Reboot & F. Reset Time checked).
2. Let phone reboot. Skipped all the setups.
3. Powered down phone than booted into stock recovery to perform a factory reset.
4. Once phone rebooted I went to 'System Updates' and let the OTA do its thing. Phone rebooted.
5. Powered down phone and rebooted into bootloader (everything showed official)
6. Odin'd TWRP using Odin3 v3.09 in the AP slot (UNCHECKED Auto Reboot & F. Time checked).
7. Pulled battery and rebooted into recovery (TWRP).
8. Flashed Chainfire's UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46 and rebooted.
9. Successfully rooted.
Is there a way to download the update and just flash it in stock recovery?

[Q] Note 3 will only boot to sprint logo on stock roms?

I just got myself a note 3 for sprint, and it had the OC5 Lollipop update on it. I flashed CF-Auto-Root on it, and it booted up fine. Used it for a bit, and then I tried putting TWRP on to flash Xposed Framework. TWRP flashed fine, and worked fine, but now the phone will not boot into the stock rooted rom. I have tried flashing the factory image again, that didn't fix it. Even tried flashing a kitkat factory image, and that didn't work either. The only way i can get the phone to boot into the OS is if i run a custom kitkat rom, and then everything seems to work fine. So where can i go from here to get the factory lollipop rooted with a custom recovery working?

I'd say go back to NK4 and then accept the update to OC5 and root.
You'll need these files, please thank the OPs of the threads.
NK4 tar from [Odin] Mirrors for Official Samsung Tars for MJ4, NAB, NC5, NH7 & NK4
twrp-2.8.6.1-hltespr-4.4.img.tar from TWRP hltespr page
UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip from [STABLE][2015.02.13] SuperSU v2.46
Copy SuperSU zip file to your sdcard.
boot to recovery and factory reset, wipe partition cache and dalvik cache.
Then power the phone off from recovery.
Boot to download mode Volume Down + Home + Power ... then Volume Up.
(from the OFF state, booting into download mode from a ROM or recovery never works correctly when using odin)
Using Odin 3.09 flash NK4 tar, let it reboot, it will take it a while to start the first time.
when the phone restarts, unplug the usb cable.
you can skip all the setup stuff and then get the ota to get back to OC5; Settings, System Update, Firmware Update
once ota is completely done, power the phone off
go into download mode
odin the twrp tar (uncheck everything in odin)
once odin says pass unplug the usb cable and press Volume Up + Home + Power until the phone vibrates and you see the blue writing - this will get you into recovery w/o having to pull the battery.
flash the SuperSU zip file.
reboot to system, you should be on OC5 stock rooted.

Thanks! I actually got it working before i saw this by flashing the TWRP backup that someone posted on here, but i may try doing this to see if i can get xposed working with it, because it still isn't for me.
Not working
Everything working for me except when I flash twrp, it says pass, then comes to "android" recovery screen, so I can flash susuperuser
