yeah but i rooted with the tmo gs6 files and it worked without a hitch

1.) Has the phone got a good developer following, are there a lot of support for the device?
2.) Will the Galaxy S3 eventually receive the Android L update?

Not only will it surely not work, but it could brick your device. A very bad idea. Your Hardware is nothing like the original edge's.
None of the hardware is anywhere near similar. even the internal of the clones is different.
I don't even think you can get a samsung stock rom to flash on the clone
Why do you want to screw up your nice smooth phone by installing Samsung firmware on it?

I want to use a TWRP file on my Samsung Galaxy S7, Model SM-G930F, Version 6. I'm fairly new to this, so I was wondering, from these four archives I found on twrp . me, which one should I use?
Samsung Galaxy S7 (Exynos) (herolte)
Samsung Galaxy S7 (China Qualcomm) (heroqltechn)
Samsung Galaxy S7 edge (Exynos) (hero2lte)
Samsung Galaxy S7 edge (China Qualcomm) (hero2qltechn)

Look up the device name in settings under about phone: you will see info in parentheses from your post.

Install AIDA64 app from playstore...
And open that and go to System, search for Device, Product....
then your problem will be solved
In those two one will be herolte/heroqltechn/hero2lte/....
That name is known as codename....
It is important if you are flashing custom roms/kernels also....
Finally download the similar one from twrp.me
