Ok i want to switch my partition to F2FS.
Is CM12.1 or 12.0 supports the Full F2FS Support?
Is it will erase my Internal memory (like some image songs files on interal storage?)

Actually, the kernel supports F2FS but support for F2FS on /data or /cache or /system hasn't been added to the fstab file (yet).....So we have to wait till the developers add F2FS

Is there any hack for Atrix which convert the filesystem to ext4 and without journal? So that I can get the best performance out of the hardware given
Well technically, you can mount an ext3 filesystem as ext4, therefore getting some of the enhancements from ext4. This has the advantage of allowing you to revert back to ext3 if something goes wrong. On a classic Linux install this would just require you to modify your /etc/fstab. But I'm not too familiar with Android internals though...
Considering that the kernel doesn't support ext4, that would probably be a bad idea.
What filesystem does the atrix use?

From what I see on mine, there are a mixture of ext2 and ext3 partitions.

It's not that the Android kernel doesn't support it - the config for the Atrix doesn't support it. If we had the kernel source, we could build an ext4 kernel module (for example). Of course, that wouldn't necessarily help, since the kernel would need access to the module before it could mount anything.

Hi
I have been reading this for my Nexus 4
http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-4/development/script-convert-rom-to-f2fs-t2731652
Can anyone tell me if
a) would it help our primes?
b) if so does anyone know how?
Looking to speed up the I/O performance...

Jump over to my CROMBi-kk thread for the TF300 and you will see a discussion on how to set it up for the TF201. You need a special version of TWRP for f2fs to format data to f2fs and then my rom contains the kernel to use it
I keep getting encryption unsuccessful with crombi and geass twrp 7 f2fs. Doesn't matter if sdcard is ext4 or f2fs

I'll do an update later - there are many bugs in CROMBi-KK's implementation of f2fs that I am fixing currently.

Great to hear it. Should data2sd work with crombi-kk with standard ext4? Do i need a standard twrp without f2fs support if I try standard ext4?

To answer my own question, yeah it worked, but I had to flash back to stock using fastboot and the asus firmware, upgrade with hairybean, installed the geass twrp, then install crombi-kk with data2sd ext4. Unfortunately, it's slow as heck with the class 10 microsd i'm using, and lots of FC. Hopefully a faster microsd with more iops will perform better....
I wonder if converting filesystems to f2fs on yp-g70 is possible, maybe in the same way of converting from rfs to ext4?
Has anyone tried/succeeded in using f2fs on galaxy player?
Well answering my own question.. I successfully ported f2fs alongside LVM and checking if there's any performance boost lol
Could you post some comprison bench screenshot? I'm intrestring to format some partition of my 3YP-GS1 to f2fs

Ok
hey guys i created this guide specially for my noob grand 2 mates who want to use f2fs file system on their phones..F2FS will increase the read speed of your partition hence 'quite' faster app load up and other things too!!...sorry i am not good at writing so lets start!!
*you need twrp 2.8.7.0
[ LINKS ]
TWRP 2.8.7.0 :-
(1)ms013g-http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...covery-twrp-2-8-6-0-touch-recovery- t3107535
(2)ms01lte-http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...recovery-twrp-2-8-7-0-touch-recovery-t3207764
F2FS info. :-https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/F2FS
WARNING!!
*this will format all your data hence make a backup before!(in other words, you will have to make a fresh flash)
*backup internal sd on pc or somehwere else!(just in case)
STEPS:-
1)go to twrp recovery(do i need to say this?)
2)go to wipe>advanced wipe>select data>repair or change file system>change file system>select F2FS>swipe
3)repeat the same for cache and for system(select cache partition and system partition[not necessary, but if you like to format system also to f2fs,check post #8 for merits and demerits]instead of data)
4)now go to wipe and slide to wipe then flash rom with gapps and Boot up!!!!
WARNING!
*if you want to go back to ext4,just select ext4 instead of F2FS
*you can also flash stock rom via odin to get back to ext4 partition
You can wipe system to f2fs..for more info, check post #8
CURRENTLY WORKING ON(as of 13/11/15):-
*aapav's blisspop rom
*appav's cm 12.1 rom
*buggaty's rr 5.1.1 rom
*if other rom have f2fs support then tell me
Method is same for all roms..just follow the steps and if any issue, feel free to post here, will help you out.
credits to @aapav01
while it's booting up,you can hit the thanks button for me and for @aapav01 in his twrp thread
enjoy!!!!

@neonkat Add the system partition too. To the guide
as formatting it in F2FS makes the flashing the rom faster and system partition need to be formatted every time when updating or changing the ROM (bcoz patching system convert it too ext4 )

Have you ever tried to format your Mido, from EXT4 to F2FS?
You will notice yourselves the speed F2FS provides instead EXT4 does!
But, there is one little problem over here... Our developers did not build custom recoveries with F2FS support!
Can you please show as a way to format Mido to F2FS and provide us a custom recovery which supports F2FS?
Please correct me if I'm wrong!
