Convincing Case Mate to Make a Hula Bumper for the N6 - Nexus 6 Accessories

Not sure why they didn't make one. I bet it would sell really well. Anyhow, below is the link to the Case Mate contact page.
http://www.case-mate.com/contact/
I was thinking the guy who handles US sales - William Nelson - might be a good person to email to request one. Probably too late in the product cycle, but who knows.

I have contacted them a few times about this. I get the same reply every time. "We currently have no plans to offer this product. Please check back with us in the future..."

Bad Experience Buying from MountOnUs

I ordered (and paid for) the Brodit Proclip mount for the Touch HD on 23rd December from MountOnUs (http://www.mountonus.com/Brodit-Model-5-7-19344/HTC-Touch-HD-Holders.aspx)
Having heard nothing other than an automated email acknowledging receipt of the order since, I have finally managed to speak to someone about this.
The gentleman, Chris, informed me that they had deleted the order as the holder is no longer supplied, and that they do not stock any other Brodit holders for the Touch HD. This despite the 5 shown on their website.
The holder itself is an excellent product (I had one for my Touch Pro) and I have no problem with Brodit.
As yet I have not recieved a refund (£41.98 including shipping) and will continue to pursue, but I would recommend you look elsewhere for you mount solutions.
I'd definitely recommend DSLDevelopments. I ordered a Proclip vent clip for my Mk5 Golf and a passive holder for my HD late Thursday afternoon and it was on my desk at work by 9am next morning for the same price. The only let down was no despatch email / sms but I can live with that for next day delivery
dsl and mountonus both use the same ordering schema with Brodit and the fact you do not yet received your product means the product is out of stock at Brodit (read the delivery page at mountonus), nothing else and of course it DOESN'T mean that mountonus is bad.
You can order the same product at dsl or anywhere else, but you still will NOT get it delivered since dsl DOESN'T manufacture the Brodit products, but orders at Brodit same as mountonus.
And if you both are not from DSL itself to promote your business while I consider mountonus being much better than DSL, then go to mountonus web-site and write such things directly to them.
I think that dsl web-site is a total mess comparing to mountonus, period.
P.S. Go to dsl and type "htc touch hd" in their search and you will get the same products listed.
I'm nothing to do with DSL. I'd seen them mentioned on here in the Touch HD car holder threads and most of the other sites that have the Proclips seem to have my car missing from the vent clips. I've got a Mk5 Golf and if you look at most of the other sites they go up to 2005 and then have 2007-2008. Would you like to hazard a guess what year my car is? Now the 2005, 2006 and 2007 one's are identical but DSL had the 2006 listed so I went for that (peace of mind).
I've no idea if they hold stock or if it's shipped direct from Brodit but I ordered Thursday and had it Friday which is good enough for me.
Mountonus and dsl are the competitors and actually they do the same business, they have the same offers and same products, so it is more a question of convenience of their web-sites that plays role.
I am sure both sides have satisfied and not satisfied buyers, so the poster here should write to the web-site form instead of posting such threads.
thanks for the advice! ;-)
I wasn't complaining so much about being out of stock, more that they took my money and a month later hadn't even had the courtesy to email me to say there would be a delay.
I have ordered before from MountOnUs with no problems - however this time it's been a bad experience. When I eventually got through on the phone the chap I spoke to didn't seem at all interested.
They have now refunded my money though.
If you would call to them after several days of delay, there would not be the problem. Even with dsl you have to call to see whether the item is in stock.
Mountonus might process tens of orders daily and your order could just lost in the batch.
Always call directly or write email if you experience delay, everywhere, not only with mountonus. I think you will not find better service.
Your post actually may impact them, since it goes on top when searching for "mountonus" in google. Not a good thing.
Well I for 1 am pleased that this shows up on google.
I too placed an order with Mountonus, only last thursday in my case. I payed 7 pounds odd for next day delivery, and waited, on friday night I emailed them to ask where my holder was....
I was answered on monday that the nount was out of stock and would be 3 working days....
So I phoned them today, and having been in a queue for 20 minutes I was told that the product was discontinued and that I would be refunded....
So, all's well that ends well you may think, well I think you should not advertise and sell gooods you do not have, especially as they take the payment as soon as the order is placed.
If they had just emailed to say they were out of stock on monday I wouldn't have minded, but they responded to my normsl query like I was completely unreasonable in wondering where my order was.
So Mr mountonus,, if you're reading this, communication is a wonderful thing.
Communication is a good thing....
I think that this thread is developed by dsl or other mountonus competitor.
Otherwise the complaining users would place something to prove their words, like order numbers or something like that.
I can freely tell that I had an excellent experience with mountonus and a very bad experience with dsl - who will argue with me? How will you prove I am not?
So I do not consider the above to be true, moreover that dsl seems to stuck deeply in this forum, right Dave?
I haven't ordered from dsl or any other mount supplier so can't comment on their performance.
I just think that any company that wants repeat business should be honest about delivery times and communicate with their customers.
If I had had any communication from mountonus that would be fine, C**k ups happen and are understandable. My problem is that they took an instant payment from me and then it was down to me to repeatedly phone and email to find out what was going on.
There is no point putting my order number on here as the only people that would convince are mountonus themselves, I have used their phone number and contact form to communicate with them, quoting my order number and they had plenty of opportunity to sort the mess out.
If people have had positive experiences with mountonus then they should feel free to post them, just don't give me a hard time for flagging up my negative experience. Hopefully someone from mountonus will read this and they will revise their ways of dealing with problems.
My brodit holder is hopefully on it's way from an ebay purchase...
What you say is overall right.
But even your eBay purchase goes from Brodit, not from mountonus or dsl. And Mountonus buys from Brodit and all the resellers of Brodit buy from Brodit.
So if your order is on its way as you say (are you sure anyway it is not a backorder again?), then this just means Brodit had it at stock the time you ordered it.
Mountonus as other online shops or any other business has pleased and not pleased buyers. Even GeForce has a lot of not satisfied buyers including me.
When you ordered from them Brodit did not have the item in stock and that caused the issue. Maybe mountonus should just work on their customer support or hire somebody who treats the customers better, that's it, no need to tell they are bad. Their web-site is the best I saw among Brodit suppliers and they work hard to make the shopping experience better each time and it is again the human factor that may fail, some guy from customer support team seats there and he maybe cannot imagine what efforts were put to make the business and to make the web-site. Probably we should just know moutonus that such a guy works there and they will know that and take actions on that.
Actually the fact that nobody still posted a proof of their orders tells me that this is probably a fake testimonial as I said before. Tell me your details and I will contact the moutonus by email and show them this thread with your order details, then we will see.
Not taking sides here at all but I can say with absolute honesty that I have been dealing with DSL for a fair few years now, the details they have given have always proved to be accurate as to stock levels (and they do actually hold stock unlike other vendors).
In all cases they have shipped the goods on time and met their commitments.
There was a problem with one order, but it was caused by me not giving clear order instructions and a dialog was instigated by them to resolve the matter and the mounst was still shipped the same day.
I for one am more than happy with DSL as to price, delivery, service and promises being maintained. In all my dealings with them they have been courteous and professional in every way.
I guess we all have our favorite suppliers and for me DSL are my preferred Brodit stockist.
Just my humble opinion!
Oh and 'Net_user', I half expect a flame as a reply to my post as you seem to attack everyone who has a good thing to say about DSL.
If you do that of course is your choice, but as I'm not here to start a flame war please no not expect a response.
My opinion is my own plain and simple and I feel those who detract from the good name of an honest reliable supplier may have ulterior motives.
Nuff said.
Just to reiterate, I have had a good experience of ordering from Mountonus - the Brodit holder for my Touch Pro was fine - arrived two days after ordering and was exactly right.
For my HD, I just placed the order and had to wait. I had an order number (four digits). I was able to log on to their website and check the status which said not yet dispatched, but no more details.
I tried to call but the phone just rang .....
There was no email saying "sorry, we are waiting on suppliers" or anything similar, just an email saying thank you for your order.
When I finally got through to someone on the phone they were very short and just told me that my order had been deleted, like I should have already known that. At very least I would have expected an email explaining in this situation when they deleted it.
They also stated that I would have been refunded when the order was deleted. This had not happened and took a further phone call to secure the refund (which was made in full).
Not a complaint about having to wait, just the level of customer service.
I do not have any affiliations with any other mounting solution providers either, just keen to share the facts about my experience to allow others to make an informed judgement.
I'm experiencing problems with mountonus.com too...
Sorry to wade in but I thought everyone on this forum and Google would benefit from my experiences with mountonus.com...
To start, I am in NO way connected with mountonus.com or any of its competitors and bring a first hand and unbiased view on ordering from the http://www.mountonus.com website.
Last week after trawling the web for hours I plumbed for Brodit mounts and clips for my Blackberry Storm and Nextbase in-car DVD system. I ordered and paid in full from mountonus.com and immediately received an email from them telling me they would be in touch "as soon as possible" and that shipping would be within 2-3 days via recorded delivery.
After four working days, I have still not received any update from them even after sending two emails asking for the status of my order and their website says the items haven't even been despatched.
My experience seems to mirror that of other customers above and has so far proven totally unsatisfactory.
Being a dedicated Internet fan and an online customer of Amazon, Dixons, Halfords, eBay, CDWoW and Argos (amongst many other) I would rank mountonus.com's customer service the lowest out of any site I've ever ordered from.
I'll update this thread with updates but for now would caution anyone ordering from mountonus.com until their customer services are dramatically improved.
Matt
More Mountonus problems
I ordered some in-car phone holders and mounting brackets in mid December with a 3-4 day delivery time. I chose Mountonus as they gave a shorter lead time than other retailers. A couple of days later I got an e-mail from them to tell me that they were waiting for supplies from Sweden which would take 1-5 days (no idea why they didn't know this in the first place) but that they would refund my postage.
Despite the fact that Christmas may have delayed things I have now been waiting for 2.5 weeks (13 working days) for these parts. I have now cancelled my order and asked for a full refund but have not received any confirmation of my request. I have tried contacting Mountonus both by e-mail and by phone but get no response to either (voicemail only on phone line).
They say that refunds can take up to 30 days so I guess I'll just have to wait it out and keep trying to contact them.
How does The Mount Shop (Amazon retailer) rate as they seem to be the cheapest for what I want to order.

DHGate Case

I no you can't post links here but I just saw a leather case made specifically for the gtablet in dhgate. Light sensor, camera, volume, power, other side ports aren't covered.it looks prettty good. For 1 piece it cost 58 dollars. I'm gonna buy it nd tell you guys how it is. Its like a book case nd can be propped up!
Looking forward to the update.
Its the same case from ali express, but its about $2 cheaper.
Made by ZEC electric.
I have a group buy going for this case. PM me if interested.
I ordered it about a week ago - still hasn't arrived yet. They must have been getting a bunch of orders and jacked the price up. When I ordered it it was only $40 shipped.
$43 shipped. Ordered 2 days ago, payment confirmed through paypal, waiting on shipment (They have until Dec 10th to ship.)
Has anyone received their ZAC Electric case yet through DHGate? I ordered mine on Dec. 12th and still haven't received it, but they did bill me. I got a bogus tracking number and I'm not getting and response from Zaki, the seller, through DHGate. Anyone else get screwed by this guy?

Yep...same thing here. He did answer one email, stating that there was bad weather to blame. I responded that the tracking number he sent to me was bogus, and that either he lied about shipping it (which is fraud) or it was sent and there should be a different tracking number. I gave him till today to respond before I cancelled my order, and have heard nothing from him. RIP OFF! Caveat emptor!
Did you figure out how to get a refund? The dhgate site is a little misleading.
I just received a reply email from Zaki saying he was very busy, sorry that everyone felt he might be a scam, and apologized about the problems with bad weather and deliveries, but he encouraged we request refunds if we felt it was neccesary. I told him I would wait it out because I like the look of the case. Hopefully I'm not let down. I requested a status update for the time frame for the delivery, since that it my biggest concern. Are we talking days, weeks, or months......

I just received an email that my refund is being processed. Will take two business days.
I received the case today and it's the wrong one. It covers all the buttons. This idiot sent me something else, not the one pictured on DHGate. Do not buy from this guy.
I received word that I may be getting a few custom cases in the nest week or so. I try to keep quiet in case I DON'T receive anything and not to create false hope. So far I have been receiving things as scheduled.
When / If they come in I will write up a quick review and, of course, list what I have available for you guys that are holding out for one.

htc Titan Amazing experience

First of all, if this is against the rules, I apologize. I just want to share an amazing experience I had with HTC with my Titan. Please close if this is not allowed.
As some of you know, there are faulty Titans in which it doesn't update through Zune or at all. Mine was one. Bought it brand new here in the Philippines. Decided to have it fixed and since the model is not released here in my country, htc phils said it had to be shipped to HK global service center. Paid for the shipping and the rest is history(read below).
I sent this to Peter Chou. Found an email address online. I decided to shoot for the moon because I was so pissed.
START
Bought an HTC Titan. I'm here n the Philippines. When Zune told me an update was available, went ahead and updated. There were error codes flyin all over and the damn thing won't update. Tried everything I could to no avail. Researched on the net and found out there's a batch of htc Titans that have the same problem. Since not locally released here in the Philippines, they said I had to send it to global service center. Mind you I bought the phone for Php30,000. That's a lot of money here. I paid another Php1,500 to send it to HK. Now some Ata Lau said he was able to fix it, but I need to send HKD249.10 for HTC to ship it back. Now comes the problem. HSBC said I had to have a HKD account with them, and to open an account, the minimum was 100,000. Do you get where I'm going with this, HTC??? I've walked all over Makati yesterday, changed Php2250 to HKD300, then banks all over said I had to have an HKD account. I was willing to forgive you for the factory deffect. Was willing to pay for shipping one way, and you couldn't send the phone back unless I pay for it? C'mon! you are a multibillion company and you couldn't even pay for HKD249.10? First of all, your product was deffective. If it was mishandled by me, I would understand. But it was practically brand new. You can check the receipt I included it in the box when I sent it to your HK service center. Even if it was a risk buying a unit not locally released, as a consumer/customer, I trusted you guys, HTC, to provide the best products. I've used HTC units for almost forever. I know you manufactured for Dopod, Orange, O2, Qtek and whoever before you decided to sell on your own. I have been a staunch ally and in a way I have been helping market your product here in the Philippines. In my workplace, my friends, family, I have all convinced them to switch to HTC. I know this is all voluntary, still I hope this counts for something. I even dream of working for htc. But after this hell, I think I'll just give up. You can have the damn phone. Thinking of starting a hate campaign against your company. Is there a Steve Jobs in HTC? I heard he did stuff for Apple customers personally. No wonder they have such loyal customers. If Peter Chou read this, would he do the same? I hope so. I wish I could talk to him and recommend some improvements on the company I used to love. If I was an executive of HTC, I would read some of the mails your customers send. I know you would be paid too much just to read mails, but it would mean so much to the community if you did. It shows its not all about business, revenues, profits, its also taking care of your customers. I am a supervisor for a BPO company, and that is what we look for in a person. I hope you do the same.
END
Below is an email I sent to Peter Chou, CEO of HTC. I don't even know if he read the mail personally, but anyway, I sent this email last Saturday. I was really pissed after going back and forth between HSBC Ayala and BPI Buendia last March 9. Mind you I was just walking. Then had to go to a Money changer in Makati Ave so I can have HKD300 for the shipping. Found out I had to have a HKD account before I can send the money. it cost me Php2250 but then I had to had it changed to Php again, which only got me Php1550 inreturn. I might really be stupid, but I have no experience at all of sending foreign currency. htc Hong Kong just gave me their HSBC bank then told me to send HKD249.10. The next day I decided, they could have the phone, I give up. Then again decided to send this email. By Monday morning I got a call from an international #. When I answered a lady named Wendy said they got my letter for Peter Chou. I was like whaaaaaaattttt???? She was apologizing for the experience I had and even thanked me for speaking up and giving them the chance to improve on their service. She even explained that they would love to release the htc Titan here in the Philippines but right now there are still some things they are considering. Then She said she was able to talk to the tech from HK to confirm my phone was already fixed. She said they would forgo SOP and they will pay for the shipping and will return my phone and that I just need to wait 3 - 5 business days. I was kinda skeptic at first. 5 mins after I put the phone down, a rep from htc Phils(Angelo) whom I have always been in contact with since this ordeal called and said asked If I was able to talk to Wendy. Then I asked him who she was. He said she was a Manager for South East Asia. Then I explaind to him that because I was very pissed at them, I sent a letter to their CEO. And I asked, was it possible that they got my letter? He laughed and said maybe they did. Later at night, Angelo called again and gave me a Fedex tracking number. I was like, wow! Still I was thinking, I'll believe it when I get the phone. At around 9:45am yesterday, my Titan was with me. Ten mins after, I got a call from Wendy again. She said she just wanted to make sure that I got the phone and that it was fixed. I told her it was working but I have to wait for the next update to know if the problem was really fixed. I told her how much I appreciated this. She was saying "no we should apologize and thank you for the letter and support again" and that if ever I had problems with the phone, that I contact htc Phils, and in case they can't help me, she said to look for her.
Now, I don't know if this is an isolated case, but I was really amazed by this. Until now I can't believe this happened. How can a company as big as HTC care about one persons' problem? I hope they don't get flooded with requests and all if people read this, but to myself, I keep thinking this was one of the best phone calls I ever got in my life. This could be shallow because it was just a phone, still I appreciated it so much. I waited so long for someone to sell Titan here in the Philippines, then when I was finally able to buy one, it won't update. hehehe...anyway, I just wanted to share my experience to the community. I'm trying to share this to all other sites.
Hi, good one! My team handles customer complaints sent to the CEO here at Orange, and we would treat yours the very same way. Customer is king.

Don't take it personally, but I don't agree with Orange's policy of customer is king. My thread for how Orange made me suffer (via CEO office) is flying somewhere on XDA! - I had to quit Orange and even went to small claims courts!

I guess this topic should be moved to the "General topics" section.
Sorry to hear about your story. Although I couldn't say there aren't sometimes cases where no agreement can be found, these are very limited in numbers, and we usually are "large" in our negotiations. I guess your cases relates to Orange UK? Did you consider contacting the local Ombudsman, which can deliver a neutral position on your case? That's what some of our customers do when they find no solution with our services.
Back to enyaj's experience and the email he sent to P. Chou, it is quite evident something had to be done in order to have his phone shipped quickly and at no cost. Still, evident things can be sometimes are to obtain, and an email to the CEO often helps a lot!
nice to hear such stories with happy endings also it is hard to believe that HTC CEO reads emails of their customers.

Rhino Shield Screen Protector

Has anyone received the Rhino Shield for their Nexus 6 yet? Curious, as I've had my phone for over a week and don't like the naked screen.
Not yet, I hope it ships soon
I emailed the other day. Got a response today that they won't ship until after Xmas due to potential shipping delays.
Here's the email I got today.
Hey thanks for the email,?*
All the Nexus 6 orders has actually been packed and ready to go, but we were told by the postal service not to sent them out, as the likelihood of losing them are so high!
We will send them probably after xmas/new year when the service resume again?*
thanks for your understanding and sorry for the delays.
Merry Xmas and happy new years!

I work for the Postal Service, and noone would EVER make a statement like that. Think about ANY business. Would they say "don't do business with us this week because we will lose/ruin/break your items".
That email is the worst lie a company could ever make. Think about it. They are making excuses for the delay so you don't blame them.
Thanks for showing me that. Now I will make sure to tell people never to buy from liars like Rhino.

I just think of Cliff Clavin, and how upset he would be if he saw that email. I call the company's bluff, 100%.
I trust the Cliff Clavins of the world moreso than people that sell knock off screen protectors made in China.

Hi,*
Thanks for your e-mail. We will ship after Xmas. As it's Xmas this week and it typically causes delay so we try to avoid dispatching products on Xmas week.*
You will received an notification e-mail once your item has been dispatched. It should take about 5-7 working days for it to arrive after dispatch.*
Thank you,*
Best regards,*
At least they're not sending automated replies.
I reckon they're just on vacation.

Just my little input. They aren't shipping from the states. I mean they do have a point though with packages being stolen as I've had a package stolen once while it was at a USPS faculty. But on that note I wouldn't call them liars exactly. Just wanting to make sure you get what you paid for. I am not even mad as I still have the factory screen still on mine lol. But I get what you are saying though when you work for a company and someone says something against it.

What my point was, is that no representative of the USPS would tell a shipper, "don't use us, we will just lose your items", as stated in that email a few posts back. Neither would a representative of UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc. That makes them a liar.
I never said that things don't go missing or stolen. It happens at every corporation, big and small.
Got the email today of shipment.
Just got my shipment email, coming from Washington! Hopefully I'll see it by Friday!
Got the shipped email. well well well, the waiting game is over, and a new one has begun.
I hope it won't have the halo effect :X.
I never used a rhino shield screen protector. Is it a glass protector ? Or just a simple plastic one ? What's the advantage of using this one compared to a tempered glass besides the obvious problem with fit for glass.
Still no shipping email for me. Pre ordered on Dec 11. Got an email from them on Christmas day asking me to review the product.

It's supposed to be really protective. Like if you drop it the from really high it won't shatter or break, and you can apparently hit your screen with a hammer and it wouldn't break and you can drop a ball weight on it and stuff. It's plastic

Mustangs A-10 $19 Phone

Hey guys,
I'm looking to see if anyone is planning to do development on the $9/$19 Mustangscorp phones that are being shipped in December? If any developers are interested, they are selling the high end model (A-10) for $19 until they have 6000 pre-orders. The phone is pretty impressive for the price. Its got a Snapdragon 615 1.8GHz Octa-Core and 4GB RAM so it should be a pretty quick device.
Give it a look and weigh in! I'm hoping there will be some interest.

Hey guys,
I'm looking to see if anyone is planning to do development on the $9/$19 Mustangscorp phones that are being shipped in December? I'm wondering the same thing I just pre-ordered 2 A-10s and 2 E-1s. Does anyone know anything about this company? When were these phones first put up for pre-order? Thanks in advance for the help.
They're waiting for that perfect moment to strike at you. You should read their refund policy, it said something like they won`t refund you if their "company close down", got hit by a natural disaster or a terrorist attack. (theyre not responsible for refunding). I refunded mine, cause a few days ago their server went down and I thought I`ve lost everything and I got scammed, luckily it was done through paypal and I got my refund. You should get your refund if you purchase from that website, nothing comes with a cheap price with good quality. If you google their CEO and other staff members you`ll see nothing. GOOD LUCK its your choice your money.
Bump this up. Finally found this thread, been looking for some sign that im not the only one who was looking at these lol.
I had a couple ordered and i got an email this morning from this company saying my paypal payment was on hold so they canceled and returned my money. The money did in fact come back to my Paypal but I'm a little uncertain whether i should try to order again or whats up. The website is pretty sketchy tbh but i took a shot on pre ordering a few weeks ago
If anyone else has pre ordered can you chime in
somethings up here
yeah i did as well.
Ordered an A-10 and it mysteriously got canceled this morning. Cash got refunded too. Went to go re order and now all the phones are set to $0 so something is definitely going on. No real answers from the customer service either via email. Don't bother using their phone numbers listed. The first one is a bogus text me number and the second went to another company's receptionist that was all too well aware of the random people looking for some clarity on their budget phones.
I'm thinking scam or some type of shell corp. Who knows.
Same thing happened to me as the others above. Received an email about my Paypal payment being on hold and that they tried to contact me about it. Checked Paypal and saw I was refunded for my purchases. Not sure what is going on, it does sound a little fishy.
Glad I'm not the only one. Fishy for sure. Kinda upset lol, was looking forward to testing this new cheapo phone out
In the beginning of Nov, the company switched payment to something else (no longer accepting Paypal). Now, their facebook page is gone. Geez. I can't believe how far people can do to scam $$.
Seems like a scammer website now their website is down as well? WTF man.
