Hello guys!
I have this weird problem with goog hangouts after lollipop upgrade. Everything works fine on wifi. But when i am on cellular data i can't send Text messages.
I can receive messages though. I dont get a error message, it is just that they stuck on "sending...".
Other messengers like facebook messenger and whatsapp still work.

The only way I know to do this is to install a 3rd party app like Kik Messenger or WhatsApp Messenger. Only problem is that whoever you wish to send it to also has to have the app. Good news is both those apps are available for iPhone and Blackberry users.

Hey guys. So I have a WiFi only device and am without a phone for a while so I use this to text and call people. The only problem is that the only app that lets me text with wifi is Google voice, and I HATE the horrible UI and orginization. I have the stock SMS app and found the app GV integration. It worked until my device got CM10.1. Now I receive the text fine in my SMS app but it gives no notification so I don't know if I even got a text. I found this is a problem with 4.2.2 but it seems the dev has abandoned the app. I hate the textfree and textnow and Google voice+text app and I want to keep using my Google voice number, but I can't find an app that allows me to do that. Is there an app I can use or could someone take the GV integration app and work on it to fix notifications?

Is there any solution to be able to write and update messages by non default sms app on KitKat but by any other sms app?
I am using sms gateway on JellyBean and when I sent sms, it will be in any other sms app in sent messages. Is it possible on KitKat?
Use Go SMS ( attachment for Go Launcher) it's pretty nice but you'll have to pay for the pro version... and the pro version works fine

I can't test it right now, because i returned to 4.3. I think that using Go Sms will not solve my problem. I thought that maybe some changes in system will work for that, but i don't know how to do this.
Using coolpad 7296 Chinese phone as every thing works fine but the only problem iam having is messages I.e iam not receiving messages which are sent via Online say for example I OTP sent union bank or any other messages in short the problem is the messages which are sent without numeric that kind of messages iam not receiving on phone & further I have tried to use other messaging apps but it didn't works out

So I did enable SMS through the new google messenger app and made sure it was disabled through hangouts. However it does send SMS but when I get them it goes through hangouts... Stock sprint.

Off topic... I had to delete the google Messenger app because texts were coming with the wrong contact's name. Back to hangouts i go.
