I have an HTC One M8 (At&T), im rooted with a sense 7 Rom (TWRP Recovery) and i love sense except for one thing... the folders. I just find them to be very ugly (and they do open a little slow but thats unimportant) and i want to change them to have the folder preview as a "line" (where the apps are stacked behind eachother) and a more opaque look. I have already tried Simi Folder and Folder organizer and a few others. I want the look from the stock android lollipop folders, so maybe there is a way to just transfer that setting from a launcher or something? Please help
So, you want the keep HTC launcher ? If not, download GEL then xposed framework, and the XGELs module. Nova and Apex cost money to use folder features. Hope this helps

Can someone enlighten me how one rearranges the order of icons (shortcuts) in folders? At the moment it seems I need to move them out of the folder, and them put them back in the order I want which is cumbersome to say the least. I've replaced TouchWiz with Launcher Pro if that makes any difference.
I've mainly used iOS previously, apart from unlocking and reflashing up my gf's ZTE Blade, so maybe I need to wake up a bit
Thanks!
I've been using Zeam 2.8.8 as my desktop launcher and think it's great for the Nook Touch, simple, fast. I am having a problem when trying to remove large widgets, i.e 4x2, 2x3. I long press the widget and drag it to the trash can, I'm not that stupid, but when it's in the right spot the widget and trash can are supposed to both turn red. Problem is on a grayscale like Nook there is no visiable change in color. Is there an app I can use to remove the widget? I've been looking for an app the past three days but not lucky. I also am using ES File manager which allow sys access. Is the widget listed somewhere in the system files so I can delete it?
Please don't suggest I update to a new OS, it's not possible. The Nook Touch runs on Android 2.1. While people are cooking custom ROMS nothing's out yet.
Maybe you should just try a different launcher
I like GO-Launcher, much better than my original Sense 3.0 for example..

The widget related data is specific to launcher so you can either try new popular launchers like GO launcher, launcher pro, ADW launcher which are prettu stable and user friendly.
Or else if you want to stick to your older launcher then in that case you can clear data for launcher application. (Goto setting - application - manage application and search for your launcher application. Open it and clear data)
sorry I don't know how to remove specifically a single widget from launcher data. By clearing data all user defined shortcuts and widgets will be removed. (Launcher Reset)
Enjoy!!

I like Go Launcher and would use it, in fact that is the launcher included on the Nook Touch rooting file, but when looking in the app drawer the font is too big and I can't see the app name. The funny part is when looking at the recent app tab and close app tab I don't have that problem.
I'm currently running a HTC Flyer P512 (Market used to identify it
as "HTC Flyer P510e" but since I changed to LeeDrOid's Honeycomb
v2.0.0 rom its identified as "HTC_Flyer_P512_NA" something in
build.prop probably changed ).
ROM: LeeDrOid's HC v2.0.0
I'm not even sure which launcher's support Honeycomb
or how they display the icons on the desktop.
Do any of them offer a replacement for People's full screen
widget to select contact by image? Do any of the offer a
calendar agenda view widget?
There are several alternative launchers on the market. ADW EX and Go-Launcher are two that are quite popular. They both offer some extra features over the stock Android.
But... you cannot use HTC widgets with them and I have never found any third party widgets that are comparable to some of HTC's. There's a couple of People contact widgets out that are not bad, but no email or bookmarks that work well. There's lots of calendar apps that are pretty good. My preferred setup is to keep sense and use ADW EX as an alternate. Then I can have best of both. I use Sense when I am working and need my emails and contacts handy and ADW when I am relaxing and want to play.
You can easily switch which is your default launcher.
How do I get the alternate launcher to start?
I'm using LeeDrOid's Honeycomb v2.0.0 ROM
The sense launcher is the current default,
how do I get a prompt to switch, or is there
an app that does that?
If you have another launcher installed hit home, should show both options. If not go to settings then applications then manage, select all, find browser abd clear defaults

If you decide to make one launcher permanent so you quit getting asked every time you hit the Home button there is a free app called Home Switcher that lets you easily switch back and forth.
When you try another launcher its a completely separate desktop and icon layout. Make sure you like the launcher before you invest the time to redo your desktop setup.
I'm using Go Launcher and I like 99% of its customization options. I also use Folder Organizer to make desktop folders for my apps. It has you choose different tags like Games, Utils, etc for your apps. Then with each new app you install, folder organizer will notify you so you can classify it and it will appear in the right folder(s). You can even nest folders.
Ok, new View owner... longtime lurker on the site.
I really like the Sense experience on this tablet, my phone is a rooted Nexus S4g with ICS. There- I have a few custom launchers which just add to the ICS experience rather than be a replacement- I'm using Nova currently.
Does no one have a custom ROM that modifies Sense to resize widgets to any size (this is really my main gripe... I want to widen Sense widgets in Honeycomb) As I don't think there's any way to hack another launcher use sense widgets.
I'm looking for a launcher that can do the following:
- Group apps into folders on the home screens (like touchwiz)
- Group apps into folders in the app drawer (also like touchwiz)
- Display a folder as an icon that looks like a folder (this bugs me more than anything else)
- Put widgets into a folder
- change the number of rows and columns in the app drawer and home screens
I'm pretty happy with touchwiz, but it can't put widgets into folders, and I hate-hate-hate it when folders don't look like folders. Silly as it may sound, that is probably my number one reason for looking. But the other features would be super good too.
Can anybody point me towards a launcher that has these features? Or alternately, a way to make touchwiz display folders as icons that actually look like folders? Because honestly that would make me so happy.
I've briefly tried ADW, Nova, apex, Lightning, but haven't found any of them do what I want. Perhaps with more work they could, but it's surprisingly difficult to figure out these different things, so I thought I'd put the question out there.
What I really *don't* need to hear is things like "I like XYA" or "ABC got laggy for me so I switched" ... I just want to find a launcher with the features that are important to me! I wouldn't mind seeing a comparison of *features*
Thanks y'all!
I ended up with Lightning Launcher. It can do all these things and much more, but it takes some wrangling.
Does anyone experience a very buddy ui? Apps close all the time etc, didn't think was that bad until I used it..
I am using Google now launcher, but do I get normal icons?
Thanks
People not used to Honor 7 don't know it has added benefit of saving battery by closing down apps in background unless protected. Go into Settings, Protected Apps, and protect the ones you don't want closing, or Protect All if you like.

Download icons herel; https://mega.nz/#!Fsx31RxD!z-curpHUhFxOOZTCHaw4YbzJQpiRhgeuu_Axg_RNgQs
put them in the HWThemes folder on your device.
Then in setting you can change the icons set.
If you want to delete the boxed background from the app icons, then follow these steps:
Download any Root Explorer from Play Store.
Navigate to /system/themes.
Delete file named icons.hwt.
You'll get rid of your icon backgrounds.
Or you can head over to Honor themes & apps subforum to see if you like any custom themes there.
