Did you hold back then press the home key and not just pressing them at the same time?

In the new Froyo builds that started to pop up if you LP the back button it is supposed to launch a screenshot app.
I don't think it works on our Vibrants though.
I did it earlier by accident but I can't redo it.
Galaxy S5 Tips and Tricks Thread!
So there seems to be one of these thread for every device on XDA so why not start one for the new Galaxy S5!
Here is a few things to start off,
Missing the menu button? If you long press the new recent apps button it opens the menu!
To access developer options, navigate to settings/about phone and tap the build number 5 times!
Once in developer options, Samsung has left in the ability to switch to the new ART runtime which may give you a performance boost!
Most people should know this by now, but to access the kitkat easter egg, go to settings/about phone and tap the Android version 5 times.
cTo access recovery/download options, its the same as its been since the S2, hold down either volume down for download mode or volume up for recovery and hold the home button while pressing the power button.
There are many flagship apps that Samsung (for some reason) has decided not to ship with. Make sure to go to the Samsung store to install them. The S5 does support S Note, S Translator, WatchOn and many more!
Also, check out the Galaxy Deals section for specials on premium services such as Evernote Premium.
You can change the layout of the settings between grid, list or tab view but tapping the menu on the top right.
If anyone has any more feel free to post them!
Anyone try running ART? Thoughts?
What is the difference between ART and the Dalvik Cache? Why does ART improve performance?

For anybody unaware, Samsung has been giving a 50% off discount on accessories from their website when you register your phone, and sometimes free cases, but this time it's the discount. I plan on ordering a wireless charging kit, with the 50% it should come to about $35
You should add the tip of how to disable the magazine from the launcher by disabling it in the home screen settins

How did you get Shealth to work? This has been confirm by several other people that once you install Xposed framework, SHealth will force close. I have also tested many things including clearing data, uninstalling etc. and it still force closes.

Nope not at all, you may just get updates and stuff through email from Samsung but thats pretty much it.
Drives me insane... Samsung always does this and never provide an option to turn it off. This is affecting my moto 360 notifications, battery life and causes me to have accidental button pushes etc.. I don't have root as I have the Verizon varient, any way to fix this on a non rooted phone?

Only option I can think of is to download a sms app from the market. Other than that I don't know, I hate that also.

I figured that was my only option too ?
I really like the stock messaging app so I'm hoping someone has a fix!

Yeah, it's a property of Samsung's stock Messages app. Really the only black mark against it if you ask me, it's a great app. Since you have Verizon, the Message+ app is also really nice. Not as clean looking, but it does not turn the screen on when you get a text.
I was wondering if there is a mod that allows you to tap the home button instead of pressing it. similar to virtual home jailbreak mod for iphone found here:
http://www.idownloadblog.com/2014/01/01/virtual-home-an-amazing-touch-id-jailbreak-tweak/
Want it too maybe no for now but will possible in the future!

Here we are guys! Finally there is an app which allow to tap the home button instead of pressing it! https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jamworks.easyhome
Yes its quite similar to the tap to unlock feature found on the new nexus phones. But the downside to this app is that this doesnt work if u r using fingerprint unlock, which i use all the time.
+1. i am using fingerprint unlock too
Same, giving up the fingerprint unlock is something I don't want to do...
Use this app. Pretty accurate for me,don't know why people gave it low rating.

Does anyone know a way to get a menu option on one of the hardware keys? Recents, home, back...
I used xposed on cm12 based ROMs on my S5, and the app "all in one gestures" on touchwiz based lollipop ROMs, but I can't use either on the s6 edge (app says device not supported).
Any ideas? I have an app I use for work and it doesn't have the overflow-3 buttons to access the menu!
Turns out the app I was talking about now has the overflow menu button, but it's not a part of the app, it seems android has noticed it didn't have one and added one itself?
Does that seem right?
We developed this app so know it doesn't have this natively...
I noticed TouchWiz give is a little floating menu for apps that don't have one. XDA is a good example.
