Charger:
The HTC Touch Pro has a extUSB interface to plug it in.
A Normal miniUSB cable / charger will work to charge your phone.
Internal GPS:
As of 12/15/2008 this does not work but does exist so we wait patiently for someone to hack it.
Internal FM Radio:
As of 12/15/2008 this does not work and I am unsure if it even exists in the Verzion HTC Touch Pro.
Bluetooth:
Jawbone II : good noise cancellation wonky charger
Jabra JX10 : small light works well
Touch Flow 3D (TF3D):
The Verizon TF3D theme has more things you can do in landscape, but to switch the clock to the stock flip clock (attached to this post) and makes the theme a little bit cooler.
Manila Customizer can help you take off the top and bottom curtains to make your phone look a bit cooler also. Use the invisible items for top and bottom curtains.
Change Background All Tabs can help you make sure that all the backgrounds on all the tabs in TF3D are the same.
UITweaker can help you to edit how the task bars and the soft keys look and edit how the selection color is.
Taskbar battery level color is pretty useful and cool, but this is a little more complicated to install you must install the sdkcerts.cab for it to work first and then the FInixNOverBatteryIconsOnly.cab
tsowentaskbar : now I use this taskbar instead of the one above
Take a look at what my phone looks like with these changes and remember that this is still the stock Verizon Wireless theme so it functions well on the Verizon HTC Touch Pro:

Exchange / Outlook Info:
Exchange 2003 will only do plain text emails, Exchange 2007 will do HTML
Outlook / Exchange store contact pictures in compressed mode around 90px by 90px so if you want TF3D not to be blurry transfer the contact pictures to your phone and apply them their. By doing that TF3D will use the noneblurry noncompressed image and exchange will sync and compress the image itself.
Still Looking for Solutions to These Questions:
The lag in switching from portrait to landscape or landscape to portrait I kinda fixed this a little by applying the TF3D tweaks and not changing the Verizon Theme
Want accessories like an extra battery, dock with extra battery charging station
Want to figure out how to turn off the charging lights and change the sms and email lights
I hope this helped at least one person.

Thanks
Thanks for the tips. I didn't make it very far down your list before i found one that i didn't know. I didn't realize that any mini usb plug can fit, that will save some money on accessories. First time HTC owner, ive always had Samsung so i was always changing my adapters.

Ok so I got a Verizon HTC Touch Pro and spent the better part of 2 weeks making it work as well as I could for myself and I wanted to share some of the things I learned with the community in case you missed them or don't know them either. Most of this information is from others in the community so don't take it as I am the absolute author, but I do not remember links to everything.
1. Normal mini usb chargers work to charge your phone I almost gave mine away before I found that out and I was angry that HTC made a proprietary plug but I guess I was wrong.
2. The Verizon TF3D theme has more things you can do in landscape, but to switch the clock to the stock flip clock (attached) and makes the theme a little bit cooler even though to my knowledge no one has edited it yet to make the colors cooler.
3. There are like 4 or 5 config / hack / tweak tools out there and they are as follows:
a. Advance Config 3.2
i. I uninstalled this as the others do everything this does and I find it messes things up
b. Diamond Hacks
i. This can do some basic tweaks and is useful for beginners works well
c. Diamond TF3D config
i. will help you config and theme TF3D works ok at best
d. Diamond Tweak
i. basic and intermediate tweaks works well.
4. Some software you probably want to find and install is as follows:
a. Diamond Hacks : free reg hacks tool
b. Diamond TF3D Config : free TF3D config
c. Diamond Tweak : free reg hacks tool
d. PHM RegEdit : free registry edit tool
e. Total Commander : free file explorer replacment that allows you to change permissions and such
f. HTC FM Radio : not usuable yet but may be
g. Googlemaps : free maps
h. Live Search : free maps microsoft style
i. HTC RSS Hub : for all things RSS
j. Skybook : free facebook app
k. skyfire : proxy style internet for when PIE and Opera Mobile can't do it
l. HTC You Tube : for all things you tube
m. adobe flash lite 3.1 : makes flash work in opera not in PIE
n. dashwire : for syncing your phone to the web turn off contact sync if you use exchange
TF3D Stuff:
1. TF3D can be slow but if you do all the reg tweaks others talk about it will be pretty fast and manageable so do them
2. Pictures in favorites seem blurry if there resolution is too great so make sure they are 640x480 if possible
Exchange:
1. Exchange 2003 will only do plain text emails, Exchange 2007 will do HTML
Random things I am still working on finding solutions for:
1. better way to move around SMS conversations
2. the fact that the phone wakes up when a call comes in so you answer it when pulling it out of your pocket even if you don't want to
3. The lag in switching from portrait to landscape or landscape to portrait
OK so that is my verizon experience hope that helped at least one person I will edit this as I think of more.

I didint post the topic but I can tell you my expereicen with 3.2 and 3.3. I wouldnt say it screws thisng supo but sometimes you do get some unintended consequences.
I think people dont realize that playing around with Glyph Cache, File System cahc, etc can have NEGATIVE adverse effects if not done smartly. I woudlnt recomend this app to NOOBS. Its a great app for Power Users!
Otehrwise, GREAT collection! I am working ona revision to my R5 ROM. I will put some of these tweaks in.
I dont have any tweaks but I do have a fully working kitchen and ROM that you could add to the main post ;c)
I almost wonder if VZW users could have there own board? Maybe a sub category from RAPH CDMA?
Do you think the Mods would do that? Is it worth it?
I dont see how it could hurt. It is hard at times to weed through all the post to find VZW posts. Maybe a sticky would help? i dunno but i do like your suggestion of a sub category

how are you using a normal mini usb charger?? is there a different place to plug one in? the port on the phone does not fit a mini-usb
Yeah a mini usb will fit, just make sure the widest part of the mini usb plug is closer to the mic. I would take a picture for you but sadly my TP is my old camera.

Yeah, I'm surprised this isn't so well known. It applies to the mini-usb (the ext. USB) port on all HTC phones, like the G1. Actually I believe the data cable that comes with the phone is just a mini usb cable-the one that came with my titan was, and so was the charger. I don't have my TP yet.
Another charger thing: The charger the TP comes with is a the one that has a USB port on it right? (Don't know if Vzw is different here). If so, anything that has a USB cable to charge or power from will work. This includes iPods and GPSes and well anything else with a USB port. I use my iPod charger with my phone all the time (it's the really-dinky-small-white-cube-one). These USB chargers should become more standard because they work with all devices and if the cord dies (like happens with many cheap chargers, my titan included) you can just swap out a USB cable of which I have tons of mini-USB cables.

here's what was in the vzw package (got it last Friday):
-AC Charger (yes, the charger has a usb port)
-Mini USB cable (this actually is the extUSB referred to in the PPC Geeks Thread.)
-Multifunction audio cable (also extUSB)
Note: it charges off both miniUSB PC cable & a miniUSB AC adapter that came with my Verizon Touch Vogue

I installed .NetCF3.5-->soft reset-->installed Advanced Config 3.3, and when I try to run Advanced Config, the phone hangs, the program doesn't start, and I have to force a reset by sticking the stylus in the hole at the bottom of the phone.
I tried uninstalling, soft-resetting, and then reinstalling both .NetCF3.5 and Advanced Config 3.3, and I still can't get it to run. Is anyone else experiencing this problem?
XV6850 w/ Stock ROM
thanks!
BTW, does anyone else find that their TP often hangs when loading applications? Mine has done this consistently when trying to load Advanced Config as well as VZ Nav. Did I get a lemon?? Please let me know your experience so I can exchange it if necessary.
Thx

Cool, my XV6800 only came with a mini USB cable, and the multi function box (that thing is not a cable ) would be useful
BTW, nice deal on the new every 2! I used mine last year, but it looks likes it's back for the touch pro!
Has anyone figured out yet how to make the screen not wake up on incoming email / sms / call? it's pretty annoying to pick up your phone and have 100 settings changed because my girlfriend sent me a txt message
I updated the first page to make it more user friendly.
created one more update to add in some games and more apps I hope this post is helpful to all the Verizon Users.

LOL! My trick is to call into Advanced Device Tech Support instead of customer service!
Nice list man!!
Question: I cant get the Manila Cust. to work right...it works but I only have 1 clock, 1 top curtain, etc... any suggestions?
you need to download the .zip files in the post also and put them in the appropriate folders in the manila customizer folder then you will have more items.

Windows Mobile Bug hell.... welcome to windows mobile! Battery icon, do a search for the battery icon and you will find there is a registry fix.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell\TaskBar change both values to 1
thanks for the info, i did try this before but i dont think i changed both values so will try again, thanks.
okay, first of all, my phone died at work, and when i got it home to the charger and got it on, everything was reset in a way. (this happened shortly after i enabled app2sd.) all of my widget show up as cannot load widget, and my shortcuts were all mixed up. should i not have enabled app2sd? or did it wrong? and second, i am tweaking/mixing the Blackmod 1.8 theme for elenix 1.8 and i extracted the drawable files out of system/framework/res and edited what i needed, but how do i get them all back into one apk file? lol..
((and also the problem with resetting my screens and the unable to load widget happened after transferring files to my phone, and it re-asks me whether to use ADW or LP when i hit home))
and i have also installed Pandora 3 times now and it won't show a widget to use. and one more thing last, is there a way to edit widgets? like with BattStatt, is there a way to tweak it to take off the box behind it, and maybe change the font used in it? same with the D-Clock Widget..? Thank You.
Hi,
First time poster here, but long time viewer of this forum.
So I got a HTC Wildfire for a few months now and I still like it very much. But I never really wanted to get into programming my own apps because I don't know any programming, I only know graphical stuff. But when I saw the Google App Inventor, this got me a little bit more curious of what I can do myself. So now I got a widget of "Battery Watcher" used it since I got my Wildfire, but now the programmer changed the layout of the widget and I really don't like it (I liked the old one better). So with some searching on how to replace the icons in an APK and signing it again I managed to get the old icon back, but I got 2 problems now.
Problem 1) The widget itself isn't a full 1x1 square anymore, it’s like it took the widget icon and made it 25% shorter in the 1x1 square. (so I think its probably something to do with the layout.xml) but here I don't really find any useful information on how to open and edit that file.
Problem 2) When the phone is charging the battery icon in the widget doesn't stay in its place, it gets placed on top of the widget next to it, and when I unplug my phone everything is back ok. (so this is also with the layout.xml I think)
So does any modder out here know how I can edit the xml file, and what line to adjust? I have the SDK for Android and Eclipse on my PC. I use the stock rom from HTC, I got a Windows 7 x64.
I already mailed the maker of the widget, but haven't heard back from him/her.
yesterday i tried to go to KH4 from KH3 with no success no re flashed kh3 and back on this rooted.
my question is my power widget before i did this was a small one taken up only one line and now it comes as a double line how can you reduce the size of this widget i dont like it big i wan it back to how it was without the wirtting just icons for brightness etc anyone able to help??
EDIT :
i can resize it on go launcher just not in TW??? how do u resize in TW?? HELP ME SOMEONE!!!
anyone???
bump
I'm also looking for the small power widget. Not something else but the original samsung widget as it's included in ROMs before 2.3.4. From what I could find it seems to be integrated in settings.apk. If someone would extract it and put it here that would be awesome
