Got the MX Master last week and so far i'm loving it!
To have the option with one press of a button to control the nexus player with a mouse is great, I'm using lollirock so all i need basically is the mouse
So if anyone here is on the edge about getting one i totally recommend it :good:

So I just bought a new BT keyboard and after modifying keylayout works like a charm
http://www.ggmm.hk/product/lookproduct-340.htm
Since I had the new keyboard a figured I'd pair my BT mouse up for good measure, and then had an idea....
#1
I loaded up dungeon hunter 2 switched to tap to control and it was so close to a point and click RPG it blew my mind. It made the game 3x as good. The only problem was that I had to click on the attack button to attack enemies(there is no 'tap enemy to attack like DH1), could not use a keyboard key or click with my mouse.
Is there a way to create keyboard shortcuts for certain touchscreen coordinates being tapped?
#2
I also did the next natural thing and loaded up adosbox. I got som Civ running but the mouse emulation only makes the "mouse" in DOS click when I click. It doesnt move the virtual mouse to the position of the android pointer and then click to emulate a tap. Does anyone know a way arounds this. I have tried all the dosbox settings.
aDosbox has no problem playing games with just the keyboard but its the mouse that is the problem
Imagine Civ and the like with perfect mouse emulation! This would also apply to FPS (like modern combat etc) which i can only get to emulate tap when click, cannot lock to pointer position to allow a freelook using mouse.

And lastly does anyone know of any games already out there (rpg, rts, fps) which already respond to keyboard/mouse input the way games should (wasd+freelook w/mouse, or rts/rpg with point and click and hotkeys)
This obviously excludes ***droid emulators and the like which are great with keyboard but don't really need the mouse.
If anyone has any workarounds or ideas please let me know!
I'm sure this would be so useful for everyone!
Because so far only dungeon hunter 1 is decently playable with mouse.
Thanks,
Endor
I was just testing Nova2 on my Photon 4g on a Lapdock 100 in Mirror mode only without Webtop launching. I think having any other launcher or app that modifies the Moto lockscreen will keep the full Webtop from launching but still allow mirror mode. My image is displayed pixel per pixel on this 10" lapdock so it doesn't zoom to fill the entire physical screen yet still looks good and much bigger.
Using the mouse to grab screen points was just like mouse freelook. This would be a seriously satifying FPS time killer on this bigger screen if it fully worked with a mouse and keyboard. Touch screen fps is fun for a bit but lacking the real feel that it could be. Moto may be missing the boat on the potential of the Lapdock market as a great mobile gaming platform. Make a dedicated controller to sell along with built in touch screen coordinates to keyboard setup with a center mouse lock for freelook. Something usable on any game instead of only dedicated software like the one Tegra Zone game Riptide GP that does work with SixAxis app. I will keep searching but like the OP stated there is great potential for true M/KB control.
Does anybody know if Bluetooth keyboards are working with cm7 on the TP?
i know someone who got their mac keyboard to work fine via bluetooth.
Bought my wife an IHome iPad keyboard for her touchpad. Works fine with webOS and CM7

yes bluetooth keyboards work. maybe not the special buttons though. Not sure if you can configure them either.
thanks everyone.
I use the HP TouchPad BT keyboard with mine and it works well. You can even get many of the special keys to work with a custom key layout. I can't remember exactly where I got mine, but I have special keys for Home, Menu, Back, and Search as well as Volume Up & Down.
The cursor keys aren't set up for landscape orientation (most cases act as stands in landscape orientation) with the default key layouts, either, though again, that's fixed in the custom ones.
Hope this helps!
I also have the hp touchpad kb and it works great.

I just got my HP bluetooth keyboard and it works on my CM7 TouchPad and Nexus One. It works in portrait mode, not in landscape. The volume up and down keys work, so does the search button.

My son plays with the 5.0 but he sometimes has part of his left hand on the screen while trying to touch and play games with his right index finger, causing it not to register. Is there any way I can make it multi touch? Thanks
The galaxy player is multitouch
It supports 5 points
You're right, after some searching it seems that it is multi touch . So then what is the problem? On the home screen of the player, I try having my left finger on the screen and then opening a app with my right index finger and its not working? Same with games.
Install this app
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...y5tZXRhbGV2Lm11bHRpdG91Y2gudmlzdWFsaXplcjIiXQ..
And see if everything is ok with the screen of ur galaxy
It works fine in this app? So why wouldn't it work on the home screen or in any other games? Ugh.
EDIT: Well I think the multi touch is only for using it in like angry birds to pinch the screen, thats all
That's not true.. Look i use multitouch in some games like six guns to ride a horse and shoot. In cut the rope is very useful too. Obviosly pinch to zoom is the most recognize use to multitouch but no the only one.
oo ok thanks!
The player itself is multi touch, but not all apps are multi touch. Some games are designed to use multi touch while other apps are only designed for 1 touch at a time and if you use more than 1 it does not do anything or wont recognize the second touch. If the app is not working with more than one touch, it is the app that is at fault, not the player. I tried having my 9 month old daughter use a drawing app on mine and it would not work because she did the same thing your son did and it would not recognize her touches because the app is not designed for multi touch.
OK thanks marcus !

Has anyone tried the different floating players?
I was using Super Player because it was free, but recently purchased Floating Player Beta. They both have the same issue, when playing a video in the window (or paused) then lock the screen then unlock the tablet reboots. I'm using .28 stock rom with SIO installed.
Anyone else?
EDIT:
Sorry, it's called Floating Player Beta. Not Pop-up Player Beta.
I'm using Virtuous Prime rom. I can confirm I've replicated your issue with Super Video.
One solution i've found is to go to Super Video settings > Player Settings > Enable Keep Play (Do not pause video playback when screen is turned off).
This will prevent your Prime from screen locking, so pressing the power/lock button merely turns off the screen (pressing the power/lock button again turns the screen back on without having to enter an unlock pattern). Of course a side effect is the video's playback (including audio) continues playing even while the screen is off.
Well at least I'm not going crazy. I'm guess it does as well with Stick It. I've sent logcat to Floating Player Beta, as they responded to my comments. Hopefully we'll find a solution. I have no idea what's causing it. SW Codec does not have the issue.

Click to collapse
i don't know about you
but for me the tablet will restart like that if you do the same thing with reg video players....
so i don't think its the floating player thing as it maybe the prime's problem
I bought mine from Dealextreme:
Klick!
This one is sleek and has a nice contrast of black/silver. Looks great on the Razr HD, like it was meant to be.
Comes in a box with a holster that attaches to key ring and/or headphones.
360 Klick
This one is a bit taller than the other one and is all silver. Looks good on the Galaxy S5 (sorry no pics, the phone owner is sleeeeping) and works well with the S View case.
Comes in a faux leather zip case and a holster that attaches to key ring and/or headphones.
When I got these buttons I was disappointed that they would not work with the Razr HD at all, no matter which rom I was on, but worked fine in all other phones (Even the Atrix 4G running JB!). I eventually stumbled upon this thread and found the way to fix it:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-4/general/guide-headset-controls-t1997277
Basically you install the Key test app in that thread and find out what the click is being interpreted as by android, in my case it was "BUTTON_1" with an address of key 256. This is wrong, we want the button to be "HEADSETHOOK". (Your button number will likely be different depending on phone model)
I opened /system/usr/keylayout/Generic.kl in root explorer and changed the "BUTTON_1" to "HEADSETHOOK" next to key 256, saved and rebooted.
(this button wasn't assigned even in stock roms)
Works great now except for long press...Google now likes to take this default over, even if defaults are cleared. My room mate uses Headset Button Controller to get a ton of shortcuts. I just use the basic HelloKlick app
I have made my own Quick Button, will post video tutorial soon, you can check my YouTube Channel and subscribe https://www.youtube.com/RahibSense
