I just exchanged my old note for a new one (would randomly power off when the phone was in my pocket or being moved around).
When I exchanged, I grabbed a white model instead of the black, as I remember reading somewhere that the white models were benchmarking higher for some reason. In my case this was totally true. The old phone benchmarked at 2650, the new one is now at 3200 on unrooted stock ROM (with the same config - apps, widgets, etc.).
Another random observation: the white s-pen is significantly lighter than the black one. I preferred the weight of the black pen. It's a minor issue, just strange that they would be so different.
I went through 2 black and end up with the white one at the end because of the back pixeled on the first one and the second had a pixel stay lid when the phone in sleep

Like a single pixel? Harsh. But kinda funny. I must have been lucky. Im on my first note and see no need to exchange.
Kony 2012 is Propaganda.

Wow, I feel lucky too. First Note, really fast, no issues except some black crushing here and there.
I thought about exchanging my carbon blue for a white, just for aesthetics (the white one really is dead sexy). but going to the store and playing with one, i didn't like the light bleed and brightness of the buttons. also, i like the grippy back on the carbon blue one. plus i think it will show less wear and dirt over time.
but mostly after reading all these exchange posts, if i have a good one, i don't want to exchange for a bummer that i would have to take up on a warranty exchange. i only have one day left in my 30 day window!

I got the white one to replace my original black - I too think the white one is dead sexy. The back is definitely a better texture on the black one, but since those are all interchangeable parts, no big deal.
That said, given that some phones are working better than others, I agree - if you're happy with the performance of your current phone, you may not want to take a gamble on returning it for another.
I really thought it was an iffy choice when I bought the white one with a white flip cover, as I thought I might not like the white face of the device, seeing as I loved how the screen blends into the black face of my Infuse and Captivate. Two weeks later, I'm really impressed and I have adjusted to the white. The capacitive buttons were bugging me with how they bleed into the face of the phone, but I never liked them lit up anyways, so I just have them always off...I know where all four buttons are, so why do I need them lit up? Haha. I have gotten so many comments on how nice this phone looks it's getting annoying almost. I love promoting the Note, but let me use it in peace! Haha.

Great!!!!!
White is cool too, but I'd prefer black. Any way, Samsung note is a very excellent purchasing.
Lol I ended up exchanging my white model for a black. The white was nice and flashy but I prefer stealth while the white is sexy powerd on I find the black more sleek when turned off, if that makes sense lol.

The white looks awesome with the brown flip cover. I've got that and a frosted black Boxwave. I want an aluminum blue bumper w/ back shield now. I think that looks sweet with the white.

Will not be amused if this is available a week after I get the blue one.
come on guys, this is just a site that does 3d animations for phones. Did you really think that samsung would not have announced a black version?

Neither will I However I think the listing could well be a mistake colour-wise. When I was looking at pre-orders, there were a couple of places that had white or black listed as colour options, but later corrected to white or blue. I think the blue should be dark enough in real life to pass as nearly black anyway.

Looks like the blue version to me.
Looks blue to me too
looks like blues clues to me i dont know about black..you know that fruit company might sue again
Also they don't even list the blue, which is a bit strange.

According to Eldar Murtazin, later it will be available in black too.

Probably the crappy US Carrier versions.
Eldar Murtazin told me on twitter that the black version will be available for Christmas. Well, i want it so much, but i'm not going to wait :|
I have always had a black phone so ive decided this time it's gonan be different,i want the marble white SGS3 but the blue one looks really nice as well i just cant make up my mind.
Seems immeasurably stupid not to include a black version at launch. It harks back to the days of kids running around with bright red Nokia Xpress-on covers and potentially alienates a large portion of the market who want a sleek, back, professional looking phone - not a teenager's fashion accessory.
The inclusion of things like S-Voice are the kinds of things that look great in a shop but you end up never using in practice. For the same reason it boggles the mind why Samsung didn't give the option of a black version; part of the reason AMOLED screens look so impressive is the near seamless transition between black on-screen and a black bezel, made possible by AMOLED's superior contrast.
I had a very reaction when i saw the white and blue versions at the presentation. I hate white phones and thought the blue looked horribly cheap. Ive now seen a blue one in the flesh and its nothing like as bad as i feared. Its actually quite smart looking.
Many of the images of it make it look a lot lighter than it actually is. The front looks black in most lights an the pattern on the back is almost like metal.
I would still prefer a black phone though.
its the blue one!
Still debating about getting the Note 2 but i figured I didn't see a thread for this so I would make one. What color phone did you get? From reading most have gone with the Titanium Gray but I am seriously considering the Marble White, just wondering what everyone got and why.
I picked up grey. I prefer the look of brushed metal over white, plus it hides scratches well. I have my alterior motives...

What to wear long sleeves in the summer ? The white version is going for more on ebay... I'm considering buying the phone outright since I don't want to lose my unlimited 4g.

It's funny how two phones of the same value and condition can be auctioned at higher prices...because it is white.
Beyond me.
Picked up the white.. I like the flip covers and picked up a Light Blue, White and Grey ones.. So really the color changes easily at least the back and I prefer the white front with the covers
I went with Grey. Wife went with white. I'm happy with my choice, and so is she. White hides prints better, and Grey looks smaller and less shocking when up to the ear. Wish I could have both and swap out sim card every other day.

I thought the white looked a little cheesy, but that's me. The Gray seemed to look a little classier.
But I came from using the DNA for 2 weeks and that phone was VERY sexy.
I got the gray because the led notification light showed up more clearly on it.

I got white mainly because i live in texas and I have my phone in a car dock up on the front dash all the time. Ive had problems with my black moto droid2 overheating from the sun so I figure the white should help a little on not overheating

really I had the DNA for about a week and even though black and red are me fav colors I kinda thought the design on the DNA was a mess.
Even though i had a white s3 i went with the grey. I liked the white but the outline of the screen seemed to defined. I like when the screen is off on the grey one how it kinda blends in with the rest of the phone.
I haven't gotten mine yet. But, when I do, I will get the gray one. I prefer my electronics in darker colors. I'd have been really happy if they'd put out a cover like the original Note. But, gray will suffice.
I have the grey one.

Titanium FTW :good:
Apple has tainted white phones and tablets for me. Also, white gets dirty much more easily.
Ok, I picked up a gray one, not sure how long I will have it, lol, but for now I do. Evaluating if I want to keep it or Nexus, will be deciding over the next 2 weeks or so.
Grey all the way. A: i associate white with apple products. Don't know why. And 2: I think I read about the white getting dirty and yellowing over time.

I picked up the Grey, because I never really liked the idea of white phones. Also white phones tend to get dirty and turn a little tan after awhile.....

You have it all wrong, white likes to get dirty My ipod is black...Apple taints everything they touch. Back when I purchased the ipod it was the music player with the most accessories. Everything else apple has made has used inferior hardware (to the competition at the time) and has charged way too much for it. The crazy part is people are still falling for the same old trick.
White Baby. Then picked up neon green Amzer shell holster case. Goes great with the White.

So i'm debating between white and grey; in the store I tend to prefer the white due to contrast the white border makes with the display (on the surface it seems to make the display stand out) but i prefer the grey because it makes the buttons (at bottom) more visible and seems more stealthy. I'm curious if folks who purchased the grey one end up wishing for the white and conversely those who purchased the white if you end up wishing for the grey and why ?
(only other thing I could think that might be material is if the white creates more flare for the camera)
my mind had been made up for months that I was going to get the White...once I spent real time in the store and really thought about it, Grey won out. I don't regret it at all. it's just more my style in the end...more understated.
Got the white since I thought the gray just didn't look right on the phone so no I do not wish I had gotten the gray over the white and also I haven't noticed any problems with the camera.
I got the white and now I'm wishing I got the grey instead. The white just feels a little too girly for me. Plus, the grey would have gone well with the color of the new car.
I really wanted the white one and when I finally went to get my phone at the Verizon store they only had grey left. Me being too impatient got it anyway and very happy I did lol.

I had a white s3. I wanted a white phone, but it got old really quickly. I have the gray n2, and must say, looks much nicer and more stylish than the white. Just my opinion though.

I originally wanted white, but I'm glad I went with gray. Even though it's Samsung's famous shoddy plastic it gives a not-so-cheap looking, brushed metal appearance, where as white plastic looks like... white plastic. Plus with the Glacier flavor Otterbox, it contrasts well.

I'm digging the white. I dont like the grey because the faux metal look makes it feel like a cheap immitation of something which is out of place on this bamf. Color is a minor point though since I jave a case that covers 90% of the samsung plastic. Verizon home button bothers me less in white.

Sounds like most people are happy with whatever colour they pick and don't wish for the other colour after the fact. Btw if I buy one i would use it without a case; can't stand cases.
Hy. Yesturday i went to see live note 7 blue coral. Samsung has choose very interesting combinations of colours that change acording to light and ungles. Blue coral is not the same in reality like in photos and youtube. Many people, specialy man in my country hate it at first view. What you think after seiing live the colors. I like it and i think they are very original and stylish.

I was debating between blue or black and at the end black won just because of how crazy is the blue color. I din't have a chance to see a demo unit (available only on SEP16 where I live and I will have the phone on SEP2) but looking Youtube, reviews it look white blue or rich blue depending on the lighting. I like the rich blue but white blue with low light conditions was not for me, the trim also could be sliver or maybe even black with a little bit darker blue phone. So this time i say no to blue coral
It looks really good in real life but I am on doubt if it's not feminine especially with that golden border. If it has silver border I would say it's the best color even that Onyx Black is very sleek and beautiful - just not so special. So I am on doubt what color to choose but definitely not the silver one (I don't like shining silver phones at all)...
I like it but went with black

I found it underwhelming in real life when I played around with a demo unit. It looked far better on film in various Youtube videos.
The biggest reason to get it is because it says "look at my new phone" as there's no other phone (currently) on the market like it. Bit it's kind of like the massive demand for the gold iPhone when it first came out. Everyone wanted the color for the previous reason. Six months from now Blue Corral won't be special anymore and then it'll just be a blueish phone with pinkish trim. I use my phone for business and the only color that doesn't scream "look at me" was black.
Meh. I wasn't impressed. It looked a bit too feminine for my tastes, but if that's your thing then more power to you. I love that the metal rim on the onyx version is actually black now. It makes the phone look sleek and simple. Plus, I also use my phone for business so the black was the best (read: only) option. Not that I'm complaining, it's sexy af in black.
It's Dope ...
Usually have black devices. But got the bronze 10.1 tab on impulse: it still looks good. The iPhones that mimicked it have a pallid 9ct gold effect that doesn't look so good. So I'm going for the blue this time, reckoning that Sammy has got it right this time too. If it's too bright, it can be toned down with a black case, but I suspect the Note 7 will be classy enough to carry the colour...
I had mine outside in the direct sunlight today for the first time (got it last night) and the metal frame looks pink...I knew the blue was feminine-ish, but the pink tint on the frame DEFINITELY tops off the feminine look IMO.
Anyone wanna trade their black one for a blue one? LOL.

I first ordered titinium silver as I've always liked the color since the s7 came out but did not want the s7. My note 2, 3, 4 were all black (note 2 was really dark grey) so for sure I didn't want black. Just so I don't dismiss the blue completely, I still went to a Tmobile store to check out the blue. There was a lot of light in the store and made the blue look baby blue and I did not like it. So I told myself, blue was not for me and left. I went home and watched several more unpacked reviews and the ones showing the blue made the phone look really good depending on the lighting, and wasn't always baby blue. So after several more videos I watched of the blue, I decided to also order it. Figure if I have more time with it I'll have a better non rushed judgement on it.
Once I received both phones, I opened the blue first and fell in love with it right away. The blue inside my office is nice. I like how it switches to different hue's of blue. Now the rose gold trim does put me off a little but in my clear case it doesn't stand out as much. But it's not ugly either, just felt too feminine.
A day later I opened the titanium one. I still like the titanium, BUT compared to the blue, I now found it boring. To be fair, I gave it a few more days and played with both phones but blue being my daily. In most places I go, unless I'm outside, the blue stays pretty dark or at least not baby blue. Unless I'm in direct sunlight. Sometimes it looks bluish dark grey (which I love). I just love the different variation of blue it produces (besides baby blue obviously). The titanium does get slightly darker but it always looked bright silver in most scenarios and does reflect more light. So in the end, chose the blue.
So my thoughts....I think had I not had a chance to play with it for at least a few days in my own environment, I wouldn't have chosen it. If you are considering the blue don't judge it based on pictures, or seeing it for a few minutes, or even what others think of the color. Your best bet if you are undecided is to take it home and try it out for a few days yourself. That goes for any of the colors, not just blue.
