I bought 2 Tylt Vu chargers for my Nexus 6 as none of my other chargers worked with a case.
I have been very happy with them until last night when the one I use at home stopped working. No charging light, nothing. I tried different phones, no luck.
I took it into the office to test if it was the power supply by using the power supply from my other one which I use at the office and it worked. But it also worked with its own power supply. I thought that it might just have been a weird bug but sadly, it stopped working during the day and would not work even with the other power supply.
It is only a month old and these chargers have an excellent reputation. I was hoping someone might have some insight as to the problem. It will be real hassle to post it from Australia back to the US (and expensive).
I have tried letting the battery run down to 80% in case it was a trickle charge thing but no luck. It is not the Nexus because it works perfectly on the other one.
Edit: I notice that if I leave it unplugged for a few hours, it will work once until the phone is charged but not again. I can leave the phone playing a movie and it will not start charging even if the battery has dropped below 80%. I am going to send it back.

I've been using only my official slide charger and cable for ages, until my usb cable got screwed up. So I ordered some new cables from DealExtreme. While waiting, since I had to go on a trip, I was using this generic charger with changeable heads. On the back, it's output is 4.5V - 9.5V Max 800mA. It was working fine for my phone. When I got back home and started using the cables I ordered, which were generic MicroUSB cables (sku#48924, if you wanna look it up), they were working fine for the first few days, until I noticed that my phone wasn't updating the battery percentage when it was charging. I had to restart the phone to see the real battery value. These cables did look different at the micro end, where the teeth that lock into the slot were bigger and the plastic in the connector wasn't tapered like most cables, but they seemed to work fine to me, and works perfectly for transferring to sdcard. Today, I noticed that it was only maxing out at 50-70%, despite the fact that I left it charging all night. When I switched back to the generic travel charger I used, it started charging again, right now it's at 95%.
Has anybody had this problem? I've already tried wiping battery stats to see if it would make a difference and it didn't. I'm on CM7.1 RC1 and haven't changed it since it came out. I'm about to go back to nightlies to see if anything changes.
Mine has been acting up a little. I'm also not using the stock charger right now. Sometimes it works fine, other times I pick it up after it was charging all night and a couple of minutes later I look at it and its at something like 86% already.
I'm thinking it maybe could be the battery itself. But I'm not sure. I'm on CM 7.0.3 stable.
So, this was my mothers tablet and it stopped working one day. She hadn't used it in a while and it was simply under her bed. After a period of no use she pulled it out and tried to use it - didn't work at all. Plugged in = no response, etc.
Friend has same tablet, same charger, etc. Tried his charger with her tablet, nothing. No charging light, no indication of response of the tablet whatsoever.
Tried the long-time trickle charge using a lower power charge, left it charging for days on end. Still nothing.
Tried replacing the battery and the charging port/ribbon, still nothing. Left to trickle charge again and still nothing.
This was all many months ago and she has since given up and purchased a new tablet. I thought of a good use for this TF300 if I could get it working so figured I'd try to fix it. Is there anything else I need to try before I just go ahead and replace the main board? It's only like $30 on ebay so no harm done if it doesn't work.
My Gear S died on me today.
Went running for first time with Gear S. Turned on GPS and tracking worked fine. About 50% battery at start of run.
About 1 hour later hit button on watch and no response. Thought it was strange, but thought battery died. Put on charger for several hours, but charge indicator didn't light up.
Held button for 30 seconds and 1 minute to see if it would reset. No response at all. Attached to several other cables and charge plugs plus PC USB port. Nothing worked.
Got this through eBay Buy.com deal two months ago. Not sure about warranty.
Any suggestions appreciated. Hate to see $200 go down the drain. Plus I like this watch!

As a follow up: tried laptop port fix suggested for Gear 1. No change at all to condition of watch.
Just dead. No flicker on screen or anything like it.
Guess I will try to escalate to Buy.com/Rakutan.
Update: Looks like Samsung will offer warranty service on it.
Second Update: Identified the problem -- aftermarket charger that came with my refurbed Gear S does not charge device if device has zero charge. Stopped by BestBuy today and tried one of their chargers and the watch started to charge. Put a partial charge on it and then tried my generic charger and it now charges.
Ordered an OEM Samsung charger from Samsung ($29 on their site).
Lesson learned: OEM Samsung charger may be needed to revive completely discharged battery on Gear S.
Thanks for posting this solution. Might help someone.

Same thing is happening to my samsung tech support told me to go to best buy be for sending it in for repair (mind u I have a brand new charger from samsung) let's see what happens
so, I've had my Gear S for about a year now... everything has been okay except for the charging cradle breaking, but I solved the problem, no biggie.... anyways... so up until last week, I had never let the Gear S run out of battery all the way, I've come close to it several times but would always get home in time to charge it. And then came last week... I had gotten lazy one night and didn't charge it when I went to sleep, the next day, I had about 40% left and I thought it would make it until I got home.... but it didn't. It was the first time running out of juice all the way to 0%. When I got home, I snapped it to the charging cradle and normally when the Gear S is powered off, but charging, the green battery symbol would still come on (to let you know the status)... but this time, it wouldn't. I just figured perhaps because it ran all the way out of juice, it would take some time before the indicator comes out. I left it charging for an hour or so... I go check and still nothing. I can't long press it to turn it on or anything... and I have TWO charging cradles (one of them is rather new), so I'm pretty sure it's NOT the charging cradles issue. I've tried different cables, and wall plugs, and still nothing. I've gone over a week now without a smartwatch (I've been wearing smartwatches for over 2 years now) and I'm really missing it... at the moment, there's really nothing else out there that I like, not to mentioned I'm hurtin' for cash.
Anyone know what the deal is? I'm hoping someone will chime in, I just want it to wake up :crying:
Dug out my trusty Z3TC 16GB WiFi to browse the web and its dead and refuses to charge on 4+ different chargers. Won't respond to power+vol up or show any activity.
Software was fine when I last checked, running CM12.1 and no issues.
Anyone see a similar issue and know if the battery is likely to have failed or something more fundamental?
I'm ordering a pogo pin charger to see if that works, had a couple in the past but the connecting wires in the stand broke.

Happened to me. Try this: NEVER LET IT GO FULLY DEAD

Yup, saw that thread. Looks like I'm out of luck as I certainly can't resolder any of the components.
did u try with a quick charger?
Peace to all
I've tried most chargers and I have a lot of them, including original chargers for Z3 and Z4. Even trickling on a slow charger should recharge after 24 hours but nothing.
Wish I'd remembered to keep it charged, can't even get a bootloader up.
Try this??
Press the volume up button and power button together for 10 seconds. This should cause your device to vibrate 3 times and then show the battery charging screen.
Nope, I've tried all of these already. Probably need to open it.
weird dude.as far I know,li-on batteries need to fully discharged once in 30 charges.I made it once (it closed from battery) but nothing weird happened to me.I am always on KK 4.4.4
or u can try press the tiny reset button near to usb port.here says that nothing is being erased.

Good news! Thanks to everyone here who convinced me to persevere and not sell this tablet as broken!
For 4 days I have been charging the tablet and trying power+vol button combinations a couple of times each day and finally, on day 4, I was able to first get a red led. After the led went out about 10 mins later I tried vol+power again and got the emergency battery graphic plus red led. Led went out after ten mins again and had to use vol+power. Seemed to go a bit strange at that point and charging halted. Swapped chargers and waited.
Next time was the trick, got red led, it went out and I was able to get the normal, smaller charging graphic. Let it get a couple of % for safety and hit power, resulting in a full boot. Tablet is booted at 4% and charging OK.
Thanks to everyone that helped out.
glad to hear!so can u tell us the working process so just us to know just in case?....

Exactly as per above, keep repeating the power & vol- sequence and putting on charger for a few hours. Exact brand of charger doesn't seems to matter, the one it worked on was a no-name two-socket UK plug charger from Amazon. Obviously a 2A+ charger will help. The cable used was a generic Samsung 1m (3ft) lead.
Just repeat the process and leave it on the charger in between. I'd recommend not charging a unit like this unattended in case the battery is damaged and there's a battery failure, I've seen a lipo fire and they're ugly.
Thanks dude!enjoy the best tablet! ?
Peace to all
Dude glad you got it working. I love mine but i have it rooted. hoping that the latest stamina battery return update is rootable
