Hi Everyone
This is a semi-fix for the SMS/MMS threading problem.
My setup : S3 i9305T
Rom: Pandoriam
Launcher: Nova Launcher
AOSP Messaging theme
I tried the other suggested solutions of putting in the country code for the number but that didn't work for me. I put in spaces but that didn't work either.
Solution - 1: What I found worked for me was to start the message thread. It seems that if I'm not the one that starts the thread, then when the person replied it goes to it's own thread.
Solution - 2: An issue occured where a friend of mine messaged me. I deleted the thread and then replied. When he replied it started a new thread again. I deleted the thread, deleted the contact, re-created the contact and then started a new thread. That fixed the problem.
The problem is still on going for MMS. But at least it's a partial fix =)

I just thought I should bring a little "fix list" for the messaging threading issue. I seem to be having more trouble than anyone, so then I got a couple of tricks that seem to work
If you have troubles with threads splitting (multiple threads per contact), try the following in this order:
1. Download Number Fixer from Play Store and add country code to all numbers. Yes, all. Try with +xx (e.g. +44) first. Then open your Gmail and enter contacts page, remove ALL spaces.
2. If the above doesn't work, try changing country code to 00xx (e.g. 0044). And remove spaces.
3. If even that doesn't work for one or all contacts, try deleting country code for that contact.
4. As a last try, add country code 00xx and delete all messages. Then be a good friend - send your friend a message! BUT - in the recipient field, type the entire number (with country code) and DON'T select your friends name when it pops up (keep typing full number). Send the message and hopefully the reply threads as it is supposed to.
Right now I think I actually use all four solutions on different contacts Some work one way, some the other. But luckily I'm not the one that care about keeping my messages

Wow...what an interesting response for my first post.
Sorry longice but I won't be giving you any credits or thanks as I didn't find your fix that you posted 3 weeks ago. If I had I would have but I didn't so I won't.
If I ever post something again I'll have to make sure I scour the threads to make sure I don't get blamed for plagiarism......and here I was thinking that the main thing was to offer help to others....

This is regarding the duplicate entries made by android system in Call Log List..
To be concise,
when i call a contact lets assume Mr. X.. after having conversation with Mr. X,
i called Mr. Y. & then have to call Mr. X again..
We can see, there will be two entries for Mr. X with different time-stamp.
this happen with every contact you call after the other. (SEE SCREENSHOT ATTACHED)
I use my call log list as TO-Call List (for following-up). i have to delete the multiple entries of every contact i call multiple times to keep the my call list clean & usable for this purpose.
My Ques is, How to fix this duplicate entries of single contact. as it use to be in Symbian (Nokia).
Please guide..
I get where you're going.... In SMS, every user has his own "thread" and whenever you get another message from him, it's collected in that "thread".
The stock phone/call log app doesn't work this way. It's more like an actual call log - the calls are written down chronologically, not by caller.
Perhaps there are 3rd party apps which can do it in the market.

Exdialer App did exactly as we want.. there is a function called Merge the Calls..

Sms is visible in stock messaging app.
Havnt tried yet incoming and out going calls.

using this app u can configure the auto delete number with more fine tuned way like outgoing only or incoming call only and it applies for sms as welll

It works for incoming/outgoing calls on galaxy s4 deodexed Rom 4.4.2!!
That would be great if you can do the same for favorites contacts log.

Thank you very much but there is not any configuration for auto delete favorite contacts.
Also, i want to mention something else...on 4.2.2 (vodafone 4G phone) when i'm receiving a 2nd call
the blocked call log displayed and not blocked...

it will not block the call... this app will block the history of the incoming and outgoing call and sms log

Try also to download apk directly with PC and apkleecher but dont works...the apk is not recognized on store.

I Had Aproblem From Yesterday It Was Working Perfectly And Every thing Is Ok Now When I Call Any One Or Any One Call Me After I Answer It's Say Incoming call And Timer Deosn't Start I Removed App And Install Again But Nothing Changed Still The Problem Do You Got Any Idea?

No idea bro right now u have this problem try to clean cache and than unninstall whatsapp reboot and then install again hope it works nobody face this problem, one have a problem with whatsapp when i call him his screen go black but this is ui sistem ROM bugg
