N900pvpueoc5 - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note 3

it's ready on kies currently upgrading...

Just picked a note 3 up yesterday for $100 on craigslist. Came with oc5.
April is Autism Awareness Month. Sent from My Galaxy S5

pardon my ignorance, I've never used kies for anything.
does this mean the source is posted for devs to mess with?

No source code still, wow sammy is slacking lol.

Huzzah! Where'd that come from?
EDIT: Oops, nevermind! HTC it seems. So odd, they release the source code to their kernel, but continue to develop new methods to lock their devices. Strange bunch of cookies over there at HTC.

What is so odd about that? The GPL has required that they release the source code, it's been a long time coming. That honestly has nothing to do with them continuing to lock their devices, which actually is a liability concern for them.

I've been harrasing the HTC legal team for about 3 weeks now for it. I would like to think some of the reason was me... however... it is probably just coincidence.

I would say it helped and even if it didnt....thanks for doing it!!!! I am so tired of them releasing things for other phones and leaving the slide out. They released the kernel source for several phones yesterday and left the slide out. I actually planned on trying to e-mail them today but they pulled a fast one and released the source late last night or early this morning.
Woooooo ! That is all.

[Q]Korean SGS2 Got ICS. Any part of the firmware of use for us?

Was looking for the stock firmware for my i957 on SamMobile and noticed under the latest firmware section the SHW-M250K which is the Korean version of the SGS2 got ICS.
I was wondering if anything out of it would help speed up the process for the rest of us.

Yeah Korean = international I think

I think we're looking for i9100, which is also there. Those two have shaded kies icons, though. Not sure what that means...
It's likely another beta firmware that sammobile promised.

What are leaks? We're talking about the firmwares shown in the OP's link.
By the way, there was already a thread for this topic, and this one's likely to meet an untimely end...

Let's see how good Sammy is at meeting their legal obligations this time around. They epicfailed with the Infuse (Almost a month delay...)
Maybe source will follow sooner than later. It looks like Samsung dumped to the i9100 in parts of Europe also.
I wan't a nice AT&T compatable version to run on my i777

[Q] What custom firmware exists for the Mega?

Hi folks,
According to the Cyanogenmod.org site, the Mega is not yet officially supported.
So I am curious, what custom firmware exists at this point for the Mega?
By firmware I do not mean a ROM in which someone has changed a few images, colors, or other styling, or added an app.
I mean something where the core software has been improved.
Thanks.

I am everywhere. I plan on having a Mega in a couple of weeks. ATT will not be able to turn me down. I will make them an offer they cant refuse. so I figure I will get to know the lay of the land. been freakishly boring over with the Note. im a little concerned.
trying to figure why XDA has not gotten an i527 dedicated forum going. I know it was requested shortly after release. I know its not rooted yet but it sure might eliminate any confusion as to firmware available. don't need bricks with i527 stamped on the side of it.
so just remember "vacuum cleaners suck" and "feelin 7-up makes your hands sticky"

Please check this link to see when it will start being pushed:

As of this post, it is still in "Certification". No-one will receive the update until it changes to "Push to Customer".
I had no idea that HTC has a website for update status.
There has been a delay we were supposed to have the update pushed today, but of course carriers are cooking bloatware on the update so it was been delayed for at least 2 weeks more

Page does reflect the change now. Probably doesn't update but every so often especially since its the carrier pushing the OTA. Someone in the sprint forum said a friend with TMO was getting the update as well about 20 minutes ago.

If you're S_Off/unlocked just convert it to Dev, International, or GPe. Problem solved.
Can't wait for the OTA zip to get posted. (Will post if I get the update, obviously...)

I would, but my phone craps out far too often. I think I will wait for the OTA to be available, but I do know I will probably a dev edition or something with wifi calling without bloat, but thanks for the suggestion.
fwiw: http://www.htc.com/us/go/htc-software-updates/ is now updated with Sprint, "Complete."
I've heard rumor that some folks on T-Mob have gotten the update, but no-one has been able to verify or provide proof as of yet, and the update site has not been updated to reflect it if it is true.

Got two of these back ordered depending on if Samsung drops the ball like they did with my N3 which cost me a bit of time... will be looking to twist them up a bit upon arrival thanks for the kernel... looking forward to testing. :good:
I can't seem to download the Verizon kernel to try out on my DE Note 4. The Mega link just keeps redirecting me to download Mega even though I have the app installed. Also trying to copy and paste the link into Mega doesn't work because folder links aren't supported by the app. Maybe the direct link?
Also tried the goo.im mirror but doesn't have the Verizon version.
I'm hoping this kernel will fix the lag and stuttering.

I think I should put a disclaimer up. It does prove the statement I made in another thread that having a dev edition sub forum would only lead to the question of compatibility when all that's really different is the bootloader
