Hi
I'll have that year old one max, it was rooted and I was going to get it back to stock. It was connected to comp and recovery mode while I went to open a door, was off around 5 min, my 3 year old daughter got it in her hands and now it's stuck in that boot screen "htc powered by android". Can't turn it off to get back to recovery or anything. Expensive sceet or is there anything what I could do?
It is seems international cause I live in Finland.

Try holding down the power + volume up buttons for at least 7-10 seconds. The screen will reboot and then hold power + volume down to boot into HBOOT.

Thx, it helped. You saved me like many times before when I started to play with HTC.

So what was the beginning of quite a terrible day yesterday and some bad luck, I managed to top it of by messing up my tablet..
Every time I try to boot it up it gets stuck at the boot screen with both logos showing as well as this "this device is unlocked message".
Have a feeling that I may have possibly bricked it when trying to do a full wipe.
Is there any way for a fix than having it sent in for repairs? Unfortunately since I am unlocked it would cost me extra to go down that route.

Just tried it and still no luck.
Do you see your Transformer Prime on your PC?
For Fastboot keep holding Volume Down + Power. That does the trick for me if I wanted Fastboot.

The only mode that shows up on my computer is apx mode when I hold up and power. I keep getting a dark screen on the tablet side.
I am unable to use power plus down to enter fastboot, or any other options as it always leads me back to the logo screen.
I unlocked my HOX+ today and rooted the phone. All went well, however I flashed my first rom the CM10 international and flashed the kernel, however the phone is stuck at the CM10 logo stage.
I have no idea how to get back in to recovery. I can;t even power down the phone so that I can re-install a nandroid backup of my original rom. The CM10 logo is just spinning around. Normally I would pull the battery but!!!
Help please
Devices with non-removable batteries have hardware key combinations to manually reboot the phone. With the One X+ that combination just so happens to be Power Button + Volume Down. Just hold those keys until you see the hboot screen.
Thanks.
It took several attempts of holding down those buttons, eventually it restarted and I was able to access recovery.

Just holding the power button will reboot phone, once the phone vibrates then hold vol down aswell. I find thats the best way to get back to the BL after a bad flash

Ah, my mistake, thanks for the pointer.
edit: woops! Posted this from a friend's computer. Thanks nonetheless.
I have an s3 that has been rooted running a custom rom perfectly for about 5 months.
Today I was using my phone and it locked up - totally froze..screen was frozen and everything was unresponsive. So I pulled the battery.
When I put the battery back in my phone displayed the Samsung logo and after that just displays a black screen.
I can put the phone in download mode, however it will only be on the download screen for about 3 seconds before the phone either turns off or the screen goes black.
The really weird thing is, when I put the battery into my phone it will instantly boot up (I don't have to hold download the power button). The power button is NOT stuck in the down position.
I know the battery is charged. So what in the hell happened? I don't know if my phone is bricked or not. I could re-flash it but I can't do anything in download mode because of it turning off.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

When it tries to enter recovery mode I get the black screen as well
take out the battery. insert it after atleast 5 minutes. i've read somewhere that S3 is sensitive to the order of the keys we hold to enter download or recovery modes. so to enter download mode, 1st hold HOME button, then VOLUME DOWN button and then the POWER button. (not sure i did this all the time but no problem for me till now). good luck

I think i dun goofed on the worst possible way. My phone is kiw-L21 So i flashed cm13(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=67863454&postcount=1877) and gapps and the b330 package so you can get the fingerprint sensor. and than i rebooted and my phone just went black. Did i do something wrong and is there a fix available. My phone wont do anything. it wont even bootloop or anything else. i tried all the button combinations and i tried connecting it to my pc/charger. nothing. If there isnt a fix for it would i be able to return it to my seller and will they notice anything? I really hope i haven't hard bricked my phone

is the phone actually off of just frozen on a black screen ?
to power off hold power + volume up for about 30 seconds
to get into the bootloader plug in PC usb and let it set 5 minutes then hold power + volume down till the bootloader comes up

I tried the 5 minute thing you said and i held the buttons for almost 2 minutes and still nothing. Are there any other possible ways to get it alive again?
So i have tried everything and now im thinking about getting it jtag repaired. It would cost me €40 ($44), Is this too much for a jtag repair or should i just say f**k it and send it to the guy to get it repaired?
I dont think i have got allot of choices left.
A few minutes ago I just discovered that I accidentally put my a52 under my chair leg and the screen was broken. So I tried to force it to shut down but now its stuck in a boot loop. Is there anyway to force it to shut off completely or do I just bring it to the repair shop while its doing its thing?
Edit: Holding vol up and power button didnt do anything
