[Q] Hack to remap "home" to buttons on the back? - Sprint LG G3

I really miss having a physical "home" key.
Is there any way to map the keys on the back of the LG G3 to be a "home" key?
Maybe a quick press of the power button and change "screen off" to a longer press and "power off" to a double-press, etc.?
Or double-click the volume, etc.?

Have you tried Xposed Additions?
It is by far the best way to remap hardware keys... I used it quite a lot on my Samsung devices and still use it a lot on my LG G3.
You just need:
Root
Xposed Framework
Xposed Additions

Anyone know how to disable long press on buttons?

I made a mod for CM 10 that disables the capacitive buttons so the user can use GNex like on screen soft key nav.
I made a variation that also makes the home button the menu key. So pressing home brings up menu. The issue I have run into is when I mapped the Menu to home (menu and back are disabled) if you long press on the capacitive menu key it brings up recent apps. I cant seem to figure out how to disable the long press of that button.
If I disable all three buttons long press on menu doesnt work. It's only when I map the menu to the home button that it "enables" the long press on the capacitive menu button.
Anyone have any ideas?

[Q] Screenshots on L7 II and CM11

Hello, is there any way to take screenshots but not pressing power button and selecting 'screen capture'? Like with stock rom with the quickmemo button, or maybe with volume button + power button.
Sorry for my bad english and thanks!

If you have Xposed+Gravity Box, you can configure many key shortcuts to do so. For instance, I configured double press on menu button to take a screen capture (as well as long press this key for Torch).

Help! Silent mode accidentally activated

Hi,
My phone frequently goes into silent mode due to accidental long press of the shortcut button (left side physical key) which is very annoying. Furthermore, I have lost many important calls.
I already disabled the shortcut button but the long press function is still putting my phone into silent mode.
Is it possible to disable or remove long press function of the shortcut button?
Thanks in advance.
I have the same problem. Must be a function

I got a simple solution:
Just install an app volume lock (you can find in google play store).
When you lock a volume, pressing a key won't change the volume of sound.

Remap power button?

I haven't been able to figure out a way to remap the physical power button. There was an xposed module that worked great long ago, but hasn't been updated to work with oreo. I want to be able to press/long press/double tap/whatever the power key to take me to the home screen. I've used the fingerprint sensor apps, but they're hit or miss at different times, which is more frustrating than not having it. The other button mapper programs seem to work for volume keys only. Rooted/Running LOS ROM
Remapping the power button seems like such a bad idea to me. What happens if you need to reboot?

Why? What does your "home" button do? On my Nova launcher, home button takes me immediately to home screen and much easier/faster than trying to double tap fingerprint sensor, which currently turns off/on display.
Or long tapping, which currently gives you reboot options.
Remapping power button seems like an answer in search of a problem, which would cause more problems?

Home button takes me to home screen as well, which is usually where I want to go. If I'm holding the phone it's much easier to press a physical button to get back. I rarely reboot, so could do away with that. On my G3, I had all the buttons on the back mapped to pull up assistant, go back, go to home screen using single/double/short/long taps. It was MUCH faster to do that. Anyway, I like it, it existed before, I want to know if I can get it back.

So found a program called "powy". It can intercept the power button keypress and then trigger tasker. It can't distinguish long v. short press, but you can program power button to trigger by pressing 1x/2x/3x/etc. Not as good as xposed additions (which hasn't been updated since MM), but functional and better than nothing.

[SM-G935] How do I remap my power button?

I want to remap the power button so it toggles NFC when I long press it (only when the screen is on). So far every app I've found is unable to do anything with the power button. I'm using a rooted Lineage OS 18.1.

Try this
Button Mapper: Remap your keys - Apps on Google Play
Remap hardware buttons to launch any app, shortcut or action
play.google.com

Thanks, but that app doesn't work either. It says it can't modify the power button on the splash screen.
Would you want any other buttons, power button turns off the display so im not sure about NFC activating?

Lol, I know it sounds silly, but hear me out.
When you hold the power button the phone shows you a menu with the Power menu and, most importantly, card payment. As I don't want to keep NFC on all the time to avoid battery drain, I had an idea to turn on NFC every time I opened my Google Pay card payment menu (power button hold).
Ahh then you try finding an Xposed module?
You’ll find more chances of success in that way
