I've never had WiFi issues so I have to say, in your case, no. A link to information about WiFi issue would let me understand what you're referring to.
This is the general Oxygen issues thread on OnePlus forums. It's listed as "Instances of Slow WiFi Speeds"
https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/oxygen-os-issues-thread.289981/
My issue with the wifi is that it has way less range than in COS12. While with a weak signal strength in COS12 wifi keeps working good, in Oxygen speed drops down dramatically and even disconnects.

It's due to the wifi drivers. In his test kernel for Oxygen OS, Andi used WI-Fi drivers from COS12 kernel as there were no wifi drivers in oxygen os kernel source and people are reporting better wi-fi reception/speeds.
I would like to know the SOT with this kernel. Thx a lot.

You cant just ask the 'Sot' of a kernel, there is no good answer for that. Way too many variables, like the brightness setting of the screen.
It differs for everyone, some got better reception than the other which affects the batterylife.

Nope. I'm pretty sure Tech could include that feature in later builds though.
I hope he includes the multirom boot patch so we can boot between oxygen and other Roms.

Galaxy S5 aka kltetmo Hybrid Kernel
What is a Hybrid?
Hybrid kernel means the core although still has the 3.4.0 kernel label, it has incorporated many advanced features available only on Linux 3.8+ and beyond. I have backported many of those advanced features for Linux 3.4, hence the name hybrid!

Looks promising! I'll test and report back. :good:
EDIT: It seems like it borked my wifi. I can connect to open networks but I can't connect to my saved network.
Only for the T-mobile version? Or will it also work on the G900F model?
Now I'm going to HAVE! to buy this device

Question to the dev or anyone that knows, how do we go about installing the kernel will it be before or after flashing a rom? thanks in advance

Faux, do you think this kernel will work on the G900F?
I'm asking this because the G900F rom's are working on the G900T.
Attempting to set GPU governor to simple_ondemand (using kernel enhancement pro) causes my phone to crash and reboot.
Glad to see you here - and happy you are creating kernels for the TMO S5 - THANKS
You offer a link to a beta but there is no file there - was that intentional - or are you waiting to upload the beta until later?
You listed this kernel as OC/UV -but I don;t see a way to do that - is that coming in a future release? (I can certainly wait for it - just wondering if I am not seeing something I should be seeing...?)
I've pulled the trigger... and flashed this kernel on my G900F... And it's WORKING!!
It's working very smooth & nice on my own rom (see my signature).
So you can also post this kernel on the G900F forums if you want more users faux!

yes, the simple_ondemand from Qualcomm is very derpy. It will require additional patching before it can work.

how will this kernel affect battery life? by that i mean, if i leave all settings stock, will it increase or decrease my battery life from stock kernel or be the same?
PS: The anime character "Haruhi Suzumiya" is copyright of its owner
PS: arise fix
Open up a file manager and go to the root folder. You need to have SuperSU installed for this
You'll see a folder called su, go to /su/su.d
In this folder create a text file, label it as "permissive.sh" and put the following code in
Code:
supolicy --live "permissive *"
Then save the file and go to recovery and flash arise and Dolby Atmos addons again and then reboot
It should now work
Stop reading my bs! Here's the download link
https://srv1.botstack.host:8000/oneplus/op2/custom-kernel-for-haruhios-v3.8-STABLE.zip
Or
http://srv1.botstack.host:9000/oneplus/op2/custom-kernel-for-haruhios-v3.8-STABLE.zip
This is a project that started as a kernel for my ROM and that is what it's going to be
It can be flashed on other ROMs too and I will gladly provide support however I can't guarantee results
Do note that this is a "secure" kernel. It has many of the security patches merged from CAF and selinux enforcing is forced with no way to go to permissive
What about v4a?
Get SuperSU and input these lines in a terminal
Code:
supolicy --live "allow mediaserver mediaserver_tmpfs:file { read write execute };
allow audioserver audioserver_tmpfs:file { read write execute };"
Wait for a few seconds, swipe away v4a from the recent apps list and launch it again. It should now work
Why isn't a thermal throttling tweak included inside this kernel?
Well in my usage the kernel is so fast that thermal throttling modifications are not needed. You can apply if you want
Currently known bugs?
Nothing
OMG you're copying boeffla!
Relax. I used boeffla's anykernel base as I was in a hurry and didn't have time to make my own zip. Also, boeffla's anykernel zip is one of the best around trust me
What are the features?
Too lazy to write, check back here in a few days but there are quite a lot of features you're gonna like
I'm a nerd, I support the GPL, I'm gonna take you down because you didn't release the source code and neither did you tell me whose toolchain you used!
Bro you need to take it easy
Toolchain: https://bitbucket.org/mdalexca/aarch64-linux-android-6.x

Hi got your quote on bens kernel page @anupritaisno1, could you explain me more about this kernel. I guess it will break the focus of my camera due to some new commits, etc as bens kernel v5 had done the same to me. Also, as im using bens RR Rom, will this have any bugs or side affects with that rom (i had flashed boeffla kernel and had to face a lot of problems on his rom such as the xposed modules becoming inactive or not performing after some time, etc.) and last main thing, idle battery drain

Ok the problem occurs because both andr68rus and I have named our camera shims differently.
Also lineage has their own name for it.
In this kernel I used the Lineageos naming as I thought that was the standard. (at least I'm 90% sure I did )
@andr68rus please can we standardise on the lineageos naming system and both change our sources to suit?
Once he has updates RR I'll upload the updated kernel and all should be good. Of course since I've wiped my phone to try this out I'll test it first with RR this time just to make sure.

So, will this change make stock camera fully working?
Also, regarding signal reception
at my desk the signal is weak
any idea if we could make signal reception better,
as per my experience LOS based roms or Mokee feel like does not have stock like signal reception feature,
feels bit unstable(always trying disconnecting/connecting)...
which causes the main battery drainage(dual sim, both weak signals)

Hope this kernel gets fixed soon, you're doing great work on the Le Max 2, thanks for your contributions!
Also hopefully you and @andr68rus find the naming fix and that this kernel gets integrated into RR, AOKP, DU and the rest of the Nougat roms, I can see it being a great SoT fix for Nougat ROMs.
( for me this kernel is hopeless ((( my problem with camera on nougat roms seems unfixable for now (((

Flash andr68us's 'fixed' build. (just renamed a file basically)
His future builds should work with this.
Yes, i'm not very creative so I named the kernel after myself.
This is merely a minimalistic kernel that is meant to be kept up to date with the latest CAF tag and upstream Linux.
What is included:
- Merged latest CAF tag "LA.UM.6.4.r1-10300-8x98.0"
- Merged upstream Linux patches (up to v4.4.155)
- Suppressed HTC debugging spam
- No other BS
Requirements:
- Stock-based Oreo ROM
- Magisk installed

The lineage-15.1 branch of my kernel works well enough for lineage-based ROMs at the moment but further development is currently on hold. (lineage-16.0 branch currently has broken wifi).
We're working on bringing up lineage 16.0 at the moment which takes up the free time I get to work on this. After we've completed that, I also need to address outstanding issues with PowerHAL usage.

Whoaa new kernel for our beloved U11
It's great to see devs around this forgotten and very underrated phone
Edit : Wifi is not working on latest stock oreo, installed kernel + modules (tried magisk 17.1 and 17.3)
I'm sure you're aware of it, but kernel breaks wifi on RR.
I know it's not for AOSP based roms, just thought I'd mention it. Everything else seems fine.
Awesome bro can we install on aosp 9 ?? Or only Oreo for now
Hope u can continue ur kernel. Beacause it very stable.... I try all custom rom. Custom kernel... Have the problem set value config cpu (AKT,...) not working-when touching to display min and big core run at 9xx mhz and higher. Only your kernel resolve this problem. ...
.
And bug with resolve ur kernel : break wifi- module not working.
For those who use module fix but not fix wifi (like me) do step by step.
- Replace all file from system/etc/lib of module to ur system device.
Copy file "qca_cld3_wlan.ko" to system/vendor/lib . then reboot. Hope it working on ur device.
I use this kernel source for my recent slim builds already (with a few changes to the defconfig for wifi/exfat)
SD card won't mount. Even formatting the SD card still won't work for me. This seems to be an issue alot for me. Going back to stock kernel SDcard works.

Negative, all formats do not work. Like I said, works fine with the stock kernel. Re formatted in TWRP with any format and it will not mount. Stock kernel it works just fine. I have issues with some other AOSP ROM's where it will not mount either.

@tomascus Hey there
Just wondering if this project is already dead ? I really hope that you manage to solve broken WI-FI issue. I can help with testing if you need.

Did you flash the modules zip? Wifi is in those.
It's not dead, I'm just more focused on lineage os and enjoying the holidays

Well as far as I know drivers & magisk modules don't go hand to hand very well and this confirms what I thought. I just made a simple flashable zip with system installation of kernel modules and I got my wifi working, so maybe consider adding that option next time :fingers-crossed: I will attach the zip below maybe this can help someone.
And have a great day

Wireless Network Adapter Information
Built for fun, will maintain until LOS officially supports?
Also it is BETA, so expect bugs maybe.
I'm skipping 90% of words here because if you are here I assume you know what you are doing. And you can either Google, use the search button, or ask.
This is a private work of mine, that I use normally on my spare device. Supported as is.

Changelog for 07FEB build:
Notification LED works! (Thanks to @dar2q) (might require clean flash to work, do tell)
Updated to Febuary Security!
How stable is LOS16.0 for bacon if this is build straight from source? I saw initial device list in gerrit and still don't see bacon there, maybe it's still too buggy? Can't test it now because I'm away from home

Other than Setup Wizard being a little buggy God knows why, I use it for Youtube and some work related stuff at home. Pretty fine I guess? I also maintain Oneplus2, I would say Pie is already quite stable.

Thanks for sharing and all the efforts... Can you please confirm that NFC works on this build (tag reading, GPay, etc.)? aptX support? Ant+ support?

NFC works. APTx I am not sure as I don't use that. My cheapo bluetooth device doesnt support it themselves.
Great job!
Thanks for the build man, keep up the good work! Just wanted to ask, is SELinux enforcing on this build? Thanks!
I don't want to be that guy but where are the links to the sources you used?
Hey there, thanks for this build! Out of curiosity, did you compile it using TheMuppets' proprietary blobs?

Not at all, don't worry! I'm building LineageOS 16 for the first time today and I've just learnt that, instead of pulling the proprietary files from a pre-existing build running on my phone (as the LineageOS wiki suggests), many use TheMuppets' repos. So I've decided to try, and I asked you because I wanted to know if you used them and faced any issues or not.

Does your build LED notification light work or not?
Cuz I also build los 16 from source yesterday, but LED not working..
I started build my personal los16 since January,it never got booted until 20th Jan the maintainer push tons of commit.
Sent from my OnePlus3T using XDA Labs
Goog job @KiD3991,
This is not my daily driver but, so far so smooth, I appreciate the work

The LED's not working on my personal builds as well, however it works if I boot with permissive SELinux (set via the kernel cmdline) using this zip.
I'm pretty sure the culprit is this commit: https://github.com/LineageOS/androi...mmit/b1a798b50807a6c8b27658eeab323dc6a795f184
Thank you for the build, very solid, good battery life, daily driver material. Led not working, using black theme, however notification is white, setup wizard is buggy as stated, but everything on it is pretty awesome! Thanks again! If you could add screenshot function on to buttons, that would be lovely.
As of now I think SELinux I will let it stay Enforced, unless the LED is requested more. Will start a poll I guess?
