I have been across the internet looking for a solution, please, could someone let me know if my specific device is rootable.
EDIT. I have access to a computer with no WiFi, I do not have 2 phones, or any cash to spend for that matter. I have installed ES file explorer, I'm trying everything I can but I don't want to accidentally brick my device, I have never rooted before, and I am new to this type of technology.
No. Not at this moment.

Anyone want to give this a try? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KcQ30qcImJc
Apparently Kingroot version 4 works. Its Chinese so im not really sure if it does anything nefarious.
I tested Kingroot 4 on my Fire HD 6 (Model KFARWI) running Fire OS 4.5.3 (Android 4.4.3) last night, and it successfully rooted my device, verified with several root checkers.
I confirm. This method works very well Thank you imma Wake!

FINALLY, I've tried lot of methods until I heard of this not-known-for-many app which finally unlocked my chinese tablet.
If you cant find a root method specialized for your device its a must to try this out before asking:
Unlockroot Pro 3.36
thank you, thats all I wanted to share with you.
PS: I had trouble with the free version but I "bought" *cough* the pro version(3.3.6) and it rooted my device on less than 2 minutes.
unlockroot pro 3.36 work on your chinese tablet

Anyone had any luck rooting a Root Prestigio MultiPad 4 Diamond 10.1 3G - PMT7177_3G ?
I tried all methods and nothing worked
I was also trying to root this tablet for days, without success. Any directions?
Did you have any luck in finding out how to root this?
For info - I have found out from Prestigio customer services that they are not planning a KK update for this model.
Do you know where I can find stock firmware for this tablet, I crashed mine.

that's for an intel atom tablet. But this link you sent me is for prestigio service purposes, it should have also 7177_3g. I contacted prestigio but they told me that I must send the tablet to a service, which I do not want to do just to recover operating system.

Sadly no!
SRSRoot is now supporting this tablet
http://www.srsroot.com/supported
but I can't make it work. I couldn't find adb driver for this tablet
SRSRoot cannot recognize it
I tried all sorts of drivers but cannot connect to the tablet in adb mode
If I can make it work, I would also be able to make a firmware backup
Prestigio Multipad 4 Diamond 7.85 3G
I rooted successfully rooted mine Prestigio Multipad 4 Diamond 7.85 3G with Framaroot-1.9.3.apk Barahir exploit. Maybe you will have luck with it too.

I used framaroot and worked!
But is there any custom recovery and Rom???
Yayeesss
Hello, fellow droiders. Exiting news: I made this acc 5 secs ago just to tell you: MADE IT!! I managed to root this tablet extremely simple:
Google "Kingo" and click the first thing(I can't post outside links it seems :/)
Now, I know that after installing this software (which is produced by a Chinese factory, thing shown in the window that pops up before installing) it will be a new and weird way to see this, but IT WORKS!! You won't get Superuser nor SuperSu, but a custom app made by them, but that works just like the two from above. I tested it myself with Es File Explorer and it works perectly. Before you can click Root (you'll see on the main screen of the programm) you will have to 1st enable and allow USB debugging on the tablet, then on the PC/Laptop agree to install some random chinese text that is actually the USB driver for Prestigio. Enjoy, and for any questions/problems contact me via [email protected]
I DID NOT MAKE THIS PROGRAMM NOR AM I AFFILIATED WITH IT IN ANY WAYS! All credits to the genius who made it

I know this is an extremely old post but if you did manage to make a firmware backup can you please share it with us. Thank you.
Hi all, I recently purchased a Kindle Fire HDX 7, the price was too good to miss or (to be honest) I'd have bought another device; however I had it in my mind all-along that I'd flash it with another Android rom of some sort. I know by rights I should be scouring the WWW for answers on how to do this (and I have put in more hours than I really have to spare), but I have come up with nothing as the recent Fire OS 13.4.5.1 update seems to nullify Towelroot and Jcase that I found in the downloadable toolkit v.95. The first time I tried Jcase it seemed to work for a few minutes then seemed to undo itself??? I'm no pro with these things and could really use some helpful advice on how I can install a custom rom (preferably Cyanogenmod but am open to options). I hope somebody can help and thanks in advance.
Seeing as you have 4.5.1, there's really nothing you can do in terms of modding.
For now, you're stuck until someone discovers a new exploit.

Okay, thanks for the info. I'll stay hopeful that somebody finds a solution soon.
This is the newer version of the Insignia Flex tablet
It includes an Intel Atom Quad-Core processor.
The model # is: NS-P10A7100
Android Version is: 6 . 0 . 1 (marshmallow)
The Kernel Ver is:
3 . 14 . 0

Is anyone aware of a successful root access method for this table BESIDES KingRoot? Nothing against KR, I have just had nothing but adware problems whenever I've used it in the past. I've searched up and down for this particular model #, which is newer so I would appreciate any help, as I DO like this tablet. I would just like to have proper root access.
I found out that I can boot to recovery mode and load .zip files from SD or sideload from ABD. If this info helps, maybe someone has a suggestion?

I'm looking for same info. If I find anything I'll post here.
Me too. I am looking for a straight forward method. One root and King root seem to like to adding some of their own crap ware. I want my root to use a well respected SU like SuperSU.
I am probably going to use KR, and then use SuperSUme to switch roots to SuperSU.

Please let us know if that works out OK.
I just got a mint one from ebay. I've tried KR and kingo for pc and android and all 4 ways failed. I really want this rooted. I like the minimalistic stock rom.
Did anyone find a way to root the tablet? I want to root my Insignia - Flex - 8" tablet NS-P16AT08. Need help.
I wnted to know if progress has been made on a root method for the 2014 Fire HD 7 on Fire OS 5.4. Preferably a method that doesn't require ADB. I can't find a tutorialI can understand. I have no rooting experience, so sorry if I sound stupid. Thanks!
Was about to post the same question... from what I know you will need adb, which you can install via root junkys kindle 5th gen super tool (even though you have 4th gen it still can install adb on your computer). Apart from that, I'm just as clueless as you are... hope I helped.. also thanks for making this forum it might help me if other people post stuff
No progress for root on 5.4.0.0 yet.
I was told that on the Fire HD 7 4th Gen, was able to downgrade all the way to 4.5.3, root, and use TWRP to upgrade with root to 5.4.
I am waiting for a tutorial on this.
Maybe @DoLooper or @sd_shadow can help us.
