Beware of fake rom!!! - HTC Desire 610

The other day, my friend sent me a link to this site
Moderator Note: link deleted
He said there's a lollipop rom for your phone and me being me I got over excited and tried downloading it straight away. After an hour of answering endless surveys to unlock the 3 part download, I unzipped the files and what did I find. It wasn't a rom, it was a PC game.
Don't fall for this people, if there's a rom available for our phone, it'll only be on XDA.

Just wanted to update my thread, I hate it when people do not post the end result lol.
All of this to return a device to stock ???
My friend ....
Look at the top of the general section ....
There you will find a thread called ...."galaxy note super everything thread"
Scroll down the first post in the thread until you reach the " return to stock " sub section.
There you will find 3 different and confirmed methods ....
Read them, then read again ....
The methods are simple and effective .....g
And at the end of those three methods your counter will be zero.
I made things much harder than they needed to be!
I finally got it figured out! This is my first week of android, but I really like the flexibility of it. I just find iOS boring now days. I had an Iconia tablet a while back, I eventually gave it to my mom, but I never realized the capability of the OS till spending the weekend messing with rooting etc.
Thanks to everyone for taking the time to read my thread.
I edited it to reflect how I solved the problem, and put a link to the Kies Emergency Firmware Recovery thread, in case anyone finds themselves in my situation (I also explained exactly how I got it to work on the last post of page 9, the method seems to have changed a little bit since the original post) .
I'm glad it all worked out for you !
Great work ...g

First ROM For The SM-S820L Straight Talk Phone

This rom will get your phone back up and running!!
!!WARNING!!
I'm not responsible or liable for anything that may happen to your phone if you download and install this firmware!
This is a WORK IN PROGRESS!!!
Please feel free to help me make this rom better!
P.S.
This is not a STOCK ROM I was lucky enough to build one from parts and pieces of other stock firmware's that are available for download. Only use this rom if you turned your SM-S820L into a $120.00 bookmark!. As of right now there is no Stock firmware for this device and lots of other straight talk phones also.

[REQUEST] Valid links for root and CWM/TWRP

It was not my intention to spam,
and I hope I have not miss any message that had them, but I can't find any valid link to download the root and recovery zip files. All link are dead.
But I see modding is still alive here, and I have to admit this makes me very happy about that, so, can anyone upload those files? I resurrected this phone after my Nexus completely died, and I would like to mod it, since the stock ROM is not that good.
Thank you, and sorry again for this strange post.
Please explore around here: http://www.xda.mister-freeze.eu/XDA-files/
Most development stuff are kept there for ace2.
Also check out more in ace2nutzer's thread from where I copied that link from.

Ad away

Cant install ad away , every way trying to download apk, email or Bluetooth fails ,seem like googel is up to no good again. Went through all the trouble to get a v1 rooted up to find out this garbage going on spamdroid 12, couldn't find any dream to downgrade to Android 10 , because got some of my favorite old apps that still work on my n20.
I tried to search ad away in this thread yet got results from other thread . Not sure how to search this thread only.
Then sad to see development is like kinda don't exist. Only kernels no rooms.
Any advice would be appreciated

[HELP] Motorola Droid 2 is "bricked" and needs to be recovered to stock firmware

Hello,
Upon trying to flash this ROM: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...r-motorola-milestone-2-android-4-1-2.1827801/
I made some mistake and now turning the phone on only yields the Motorola logo. I tried to reset the device to the stock firmware, but every link to a .sbf or Motorola driver is around 10 years old and doesn't work anymore.
If anyone could send me these files or link me to the best recovery method it would be really appreciated to get this beautiful device back to working.
Sorry if my post has any mistakes, this is my first time posting on the forum
The phone model in Motorola Droid 2 A955
Thanks
