I know that there are some ways to restore ticker notifications and disable this kind of notifications.
Only WhatsApp notifications annoy me, so I wonder if there's something I cand do to disable just them. Maybe deconpiling WA and editing some xml?
Thank you all.

Hi,
I like to disable the stacking of notifications in the notification bar.
Instead of "2 new meesages" i want to see both messages.
Can anybody help me with this?
Thanks in advance.
Hey all,
Is there a way to disable the default (yellow box) sms notifications altogether but enable just the status bar preview?
I want to disable sms notifications because I feel the notification center lockscreen widget is more useful, but I also like reading sms from the status bar, whenever I am using the phone.
Do you guys know a way to accomplish this?

I've been looking to do the exact same thing, but it appears to be a limitation of the TouchWiz MMS application. Unless someone modifies it you would have to use another app to handle SMS/MMS.

Are you talking about the ugly notifications on the lockscreen? If so the only way I know how to get rid of it is if you are rooted. If you are rooted then go to /system/app and find KeyguardWidget.apk and just rename it to KeyguardWidget.apk.bak and that will get rid of the notifications. It will also get rid of the default lockscreen clock and personal message thing. You can still use other widgets on the lockscreen tho.
Hello,
I've updated my WhatsApp last night to v2.11.476 and it starts showing heads up notifications that, no matter what i try, unable to turn off. This only happens to individual chats though. Group chats still behave like before, i.e. icon just show up in the notification bar.
I also cant disable the vibrations no matter which settings i use. This is driving me nuts. Is there a way i can tun the heads up notifications off ONLY for specific apps? I suppose once I'm able to do this the problem with the vibrations will go off too.
Thanks.
With HeadsOff lollipop heads-up notifications can now be disabled!
No root needed.
You can also restore the ticker text in the statusbar!
Give it a try:

Is it possible to disable the heads-up notifications while in fullscreen mode? I think it is very annoying when I watch a video (for example) and someone texts me at the same time so that the notification is popping up and the media volume is lowering a little.
Still no fix for this? I know, there is an app called HeadsOff but it only lets you enable or disable Heads On notifications for specific apps. But I want them to be disabled everytime I am in landscape fullscreen mode. Any idea? I even have root, so there MUST be a fix!?
So basically i hate that intrusive notification that takes half your screen. and didn't find a way to disable it.
Samsung did improve the whatsapp notification, it's much smaller now, but facebook for example still displays the same old intrusive notification...
Anyone out there knows how to disable that?
