BT wake locks with Gear S on 850F? - Samsung Galaxy Alpha

Anyone with a Gear S noticed a sudden increase in battery drain (due to BT wake locks) with the 850F? Didn't have this issue in the beginning with the Gear S, running stock 4.4.4/unrooted

[Q] Xperia U - Drains battery very quickly

My dad's Xperia U used to last around 4-5 days with a bit of Wi-Fi, 40% brightness and a call a day. Battery would go down to 15-20%.
Now as you unplug the charger it goes from 100% to 96% instantly. After using it for half a second the battery went down to 93%. Wi-Fi is off, brightness is set to 30% and Auto-Sync is OFF. What do I do? It's not rooted and it's running Stock Gingerbread 2.3.7
Quick replies will be appreciated.
Additional Info: The phone is under warranty and it was purchased about 2 months ago.
Try calibrate the battery

Nobody else. I know this phone doesn't have that much Dev Support but I'm asking a question!

It has nothing to do with dev support......
To the point now.....
Have you charged it till our showed charged and then disconnected or you waited for another half an hour and then disconnected.....
Try charging with fone switched off till it's fully charged plus half an hour more....
After you find this drop in battery did you restarted your fone????

I charged it to 100% while the phone was on, plus about 20-30 minutes more. I unplugged it and the battery went down to 96% instantly. Whereas it used to stay on 100% for about a day. I've restarted the phone recently but no difference. I'll try charging it when its off.

In my opinion its good to send it to repair center mate, it can be a battery problem.
same thing happened on my Samsung Galaxy Y, so i disregarded battery full indication, when battery showed full i restarted. left to charge and did it again if problem persisted. problem disappeared gradually.
Thank you everyone!

Question
Hi to all
My xperia u does something quite weird. I can't get my battery to last more than one day. I tried different roms, kernels with governors and my battery seems to drain and the main consumer is my screen _ about 65 % while any other process doesn't pass over 15%. Has anybody conflicted with this problem?
How do I get it fixed? Do I need to buy another battery?
PS: I don't have warranty hence the unlocked bootloader

Decrease your brightness and turn of Mobile Bravia Engine if you don't need it. I have three Xperia U's in my house and two of them used to have the problem. Turned the brightness down to 30% and it resolved it. Also I charge it to 100% and kill it down to complete 0% by heavy usage. Try this. Works with laptops and phones.

[Q] [ICS/JB] Galaxy S i9000 battery issue

I've been experiencing this issue since I bought the phone. Including on official ROMs and custom.
At random time intervals, after rebooting the device, my battery shows between 11-14%, even if it was almost full before reboot.
I then have to remove battery for about 10secs and it shows normal levels again.
It's annoying, as you can imagine, especially during the night, because it shuts down and doesn't wake me up in the morning.
I'm currently on CM10.1 M2 version. Thanks for any insight!

Weird Battery Usage Behavior

I have some weird behavior with my XZU, the other day after a full charge I left it idle overnight at 100% and the next morning was still at 100%, amazing.
But there are other opportunities when the battery will go down pretty fast, today with no active apps is going down at 1% to 2% per hour, currently is at 52%. I have attached print screens from BBS, what's your opinion?
NOTE: I have Stamina Mode ON

"qcom_rx_wakelock": 12:44 minutes. That's the only thing that sticks out. Could you take a screenshot of partial wakelocks and kernel wakelocks?

I just took these new screen shoots of Partial and Kernel Wakelocks and now there is a process called "AudioOut_3" and the phone has been sitting idle
AudioOut is running when you're listening to music, or use apps that emits audio. Have you listened to music after plugging the phone off the charger?
*Backup* is backup, I guess? Still, 15 minutes wakelock is a lot.
Fullsync is Whatsapp that's syncing in the background.
PowerManagerService is the charging service which runs while it's charging. It should not still run after it's no longer charging. Reboot if it does.
Overall, not the worst I've seen, but those wakelocks could've been much much shorter. What does a wakelock mean? Whenever a process is waking up the phone to do a task while in deep sleep/standby. If an app uses 20 minutes to complete a task, then it'll suck the battery, and when you unlock the phone again, you'll soon notice that it's been using a lot of battery while it's been "sleeping". Most apps with background sync will do this, and if you have a bad connection at the time, it'll use even longer to update the app.

I haven't listened to any music. I only made some test calls using Talkatone VOIP app, but each call was 15 secs and no more than 4 of them.

Any gaming? That will also trigger AudioOut. Either way, I'm working in 6 hours, so i need to get some sleep. I'll check in here again later today/tomorrow.

Here's what i understand from your screenshots Screenshot_2013-08-11-12-57-31.jpg (2 of 6) and Screenshot_2013-08-11-12-57-41.jpg (3 of 6)...
qcom_rx_wakelock - 12m 44s
No Data connection & No or Unknown Signal - 1hr 58m 7s.
Your phone lost its network signal and is trying its best to get it back thereby pushing more power to its tx/rx circuits and using more battery in the process..
Just a not so intelligent guess.. lol

Maybe this is related to the Stamina Mode, because I have it ON. The phone has been on my house all the time, with T-Mobile signal and Wifi always. I know Stamina mode will turn OFF Wifi and Data, maybe that's the reason??
Well,, I understand stamina mode turning off Data and WiFi..
But checking on the screenshot, it also said "no or unknown signal" so it means your mobile signal is lost also?

OMFG. Getting really tired of this question. First of all wrong thread, and second, do some ****ing research before you ask about these things. It takes me 3 seconds to find an existing thread about this topic. Third, it's currently not possible to root the ZU.

[Q] battery drain

I bought this phone yesterday. I used opera and whatsapp in wifi and my battery went from 90% to 66% in 1 hour. Also standby battery drain is a lot about 10% in 2 hours. Is this normal for this phone? The battery is good i know but for me the battery is bad.
I have to send it back right? I am on 4.1.2, lastest update
Edit: BetterBatteryStats told me that:
18,2%/h. Crazy

That is normal if your have 3G/wifi on and some application prevent your phone to go to deep sleep mode. Please install CPU spy and wake lock detector to see what is the problem.
When I'm on JB 4.1.2 stock rom my battery is last for about one day with 3G/Wifi on (depend on which is available).
I got finally down to about 20% standby drain/day. Which is still too much IMO.
Biggest improvements came from the disable-wifi-in-standby Feature and from disabling Googles tracking service(not the location services).

Gear Fit Manager battery drain?

Has anyone noticed that the gear fit manager is draining their battery? Mine is using about 17% and I've seen as high as 32%. Any ideas what might be causing this?

Me too (I'm using the S4) and the guy from work who bought his wife one at the same time as me (she uses an S3) is reporting the same. It's preventung the phone from sleeping
Same here and it's inconsistent - some days it uses less then 10% of my phone's battery and is fine, other days it takes up over 20% and is a significant drain. I thought it was the weather watchface hitting the phone for GPS and weather, but changing the watchface hasn't solved it.
My biggest issue, esp since the Gear Manager barely used any battery.
the fit manager app has crushed my battery life and now rarely get through a day on my Note 3 where i usually have 30% at bed time. my research has shown that having Kit Kat (which as a Verizon customer i am still waiting for) adds better battery life.

Does not register at all on my Rogers Note 3.
same here , I am considering of returning this !
Updated my N3 to kitkat 4.4.2 and cut battery drain and resource percentage by 1/2. All good now.
It's unfortunate that so many of us are having this issue. I love the functionality of the fit but this battery drain is a real issue.

Uff I have a S4 with Kitkat (4.4.2) and my battery drain in 14 hrs, normal use.
I'm thinking on return the Gear Fit and change into a Gear 2 Neo.
What do you think?

In case someone would like to see what the Gear Fit Manager can and will do to a Galaxy S5 battery, i have pictures.
Hope this issue will be resolved soon. The s5 have a great battery but it is pointless if it can never go to deep sleep. The irony is that the only program I know may help is greenify with the xposed module and S Health will crash on you as soon as xposed is installed. :sly:

the same issue was goign on with S4 ( I tested on both 4.3 and 4.4.2) , the fit manager was keeping the phone awake at 384Ghz and would not allow deep sleep! I have already returned it, since it was kinda pointless. My phones battery was at 30% miday when I normally have like 70% .

Well I heard and tested that at least Gear 2 Neo is better in heart rating rather than gear fit, isn't it?
Moreover gear manager doesn't drain the battery as gear fit manager does

Yeah so far it looks very promising - though the previous Gear Fit Manager was a bit random - 10% use one way, 24% another day. So for with the new update, it's not showing up in my top 10 battery drains at all. If this keeps up, I'll be stoked.
My Fit Manager experience has been like this:
Original Software on N3 running 4.3 = 29% battery
Original Software on N3 running 4.4.2 = 19% battery
Today's Updated Software on N3 running 4.4.2 = 9% battery

I am using Galaxy S3 too. Android 4.3 gear fit manager 1.98 obviously manager drains battery so fast. If i remove the app battery works great.
Please patch the GFM asap. I cant use it any more without my phone
