Hello guys,
i own a Vertu aster with 4.4.2 kitkat with Etisalat courier, i am facing an issue since i bought the phone which is call droppings when going from lte to hspa, we still didn't get the lollipop update that fixed the issue to most of the people with normal popular android phones and i can't flash a custom rom as it will damage the phone and the concierge service. Please advise me with a solution to this issue.
thank you.

Hi, i'm using GT-I9505 In Bangladesh, IT is a TGY(Hong Kong) version. it was performing superb till 4.2.2. But with 4.3 update my 3g has gone to hell. call dropping, no 3g service, 3G sweetspots etc etc. Surprisingly 2g service is same as before. Is there any permanent solution or fix for this irritating problem? I've flashed Singapore ver. of 4.4.2 but problem still persists. And i'v tried to flash GSM / NON-HLOS - MODEM'S Collection. only thing left to do is send it to service and look for any break in antenna. A lil help here plz
I'm trying out my MDK Verizon S4 on T-Mobile for the first time, unfortunately wasn't able to get it to work properly on AOSP/CM-based 5.x roms. Wondering if anyone else has had similar issues before.
On non-samsung roms I was limited to HSPA+ (0.3-1.5mbps; even with using Network app to change mode to LTE) and could make calls fine but got no notification or anything at all when trying to receive calls. Receiving calls worked on Verizon with the same roms.
After going back to the GPE rom I get LTE (2-4mbps) and can receive calls.
It's not a huge issue at all, just hoping someone else has found a solution for this.
Thanks.
Hey guys,
I'm from India and I bought the I9300 International version, although the Download mode shows SGH-I747 and unlocked I think. The build number on the device is JSS15J.I9300ZSENA1. It runs on Android 4.3 Jellybean and is the Pebble Blue version.
I'm using Reliance carrier on it and having frequent call drops, connectivity issues and texting problems as well. Then I get this security notice which asks me to boot the device repeatedly and I don't have any clue why that happens.
Now, my main problem is that I can't use the device for calling purposes as well texting.
So, how can I fix this? When I tried to update the firmware, I found the At&t text on it. That made me think that this might be the right place to post. Anyway, will changing the ROM to a Custom one like Cyanogen help to fix this issue? I need some help with this as I spent some decent bucks on it.
Some screenshots that might help.

Disable svoice. Its rubbish anyway.
The call drops could be network signal swapping bands or an issue with the carrier.
If you are sure it's the phone acting up the only real fix is to reflash the stock rom.
I wish I stole my HTC M9.
The strange thing is, I9300 is a AT&T version. i always thought I747 was the AT&T version. But anyway, will reflashing the stock ROM work somewhat with call issues?
And thanks for the SVoice advice.

What is your base bad version/radio modem? What version of android are you on, are you on a custom rom or kernel, are you rooted, are you completely stock form the manufacture and who is your cellular provider?
Go to your settings and then to about phone and you can take a screen shot and upload it. or type your results?
Make sure to delete from the screen shot your mac address you DO not want or need to share that with any one.
Has your phone been dropped, damaged or water damage. are you the original owner or was the phone used before you got it?
I was having issues on mine after installing CM12.1 (android 5.1.x) while using a GSM carrier (t-mobile); in my case it was calls not ringing in, and inability to end a call. If you're not on a 5..x rom, my solution probably won't help (and may cause more issues). My solution is here:

Hello people
So i my problem is that i have recently baught an htc one m8 AT&T device . and i found that the android that it's running on it, is just for the demo units it's 4.4 kitkat , moreover i have also some issue with the hotspot option and the network choosing option, like i don't have the ability to choose which network to use 2G or 3G or 4G it's all the time 4G .and you all know that the M8 has got already the lollipop android version on April but mine still on it's demo android version
i have tried the hard reset but it did not work also the did the updates for AT&T apps also did nothing.
please if any one can help me out with a solution i will be more then thankful. also may you know that i'm not a professional android developer so if i goona need to have some files please provide me with them or their path
Was the phone advertised/described by the seller as a demo unit? If not, its obviously a fraudulent sale; and you should seek a refund or exchange, rather than messing with the phone any longer. This is not a fully functioning phone without significant mods by you, taking time and possibly even money.
Hard reset just wipes user data, and won't do anything to solve this issue.
Network type (2G, 3G, 4G) is locked out on the AT&T version, as is the WiFi hotspot. You may be able to unlock the bootloader and flash a custom ROM to make this a fully functioning unit. But you may also need to s-off the phone ($25 by sunshine).
Depending on your intention/response to the above comments, I'll be happy to help you more.
Thank you bro for your support. my problem is that i cannot go back to dealer because i'm not actually in the US and thing is i have contacted him by my brother who baught it for me from there, he said he didn't know about that problem till now ,he sent me some pictures of the other htc phones that he is selling and they turned out that all of them are just demo units and not for sell.
While i was looking on the internet i found that rooting my phone and installing a custom rom is my solution after all ,exactly as you said.

Not just any ROM. Since the device is on KitKat firmware, you will want a KitKat M8 ROM. Otherwise, you will have severe bugs, such as extreme long boot time (or no boot), or broken WiFi.
