Did a deep clean install of the latest cm12s for my One plus one after I had some dirty install bugs. Had done a backup with titanium to an otg drive, but when I went to restore them it always stops at some random %. The backups seem to be currupted. I therefore want to use the play store to restore all my apps. When first starting the phone and setting it up after the clean install there is an option to restore apps and settings from a specific date (in my case 3 days ago). Is there a way to retrigger this option? Or do I have to wipe the phone again and run the setup again?
Edit... When I look in my play store account in the browser under my apps my one plus backup is showing the latest state after the reinstall (with 8 apps compared to the 100+ I had installed before). I guess google doesn't keep several updates for the same device? Meaning I'm screwed and have to install them one by one.....
Edit 2... Wiped it and ran the installer again. The latest backup from today (8 apps) came up as the default choice, but the one from 3 days ago (264 apps) was also available. Hallelujah! (good job google) Though I'd still like to know if it is possible to trigger the update without wiping the phone....

I've been looking since last night but it seems I have something new as a problem...
I just (3 days ago) upgraded my Omega ROM to v40. All seemed fine - I did as normal but in v35, my last Omega there wasn't a Full Wipe option. I chose not to wipe and everything went as per usual with Omega. I reinstalled my extras (6 x 5 icons, Loud phone hack, Increasing ring phone, Note2 Keybd) and was back to normal.
Except, now my apps will not update.
I found out the hard way. I had a problem with Play Store - open it and it would flash briefly then close. Tried all I knew of but nothing worked so, logic said, Omega v40 is different enough I need a wipe and that why they put it in there as a choice this time. (I checked the Omega thread and couldn't see anything relevant but I was in the pub at the time and may not have been as thorough as I should have been)
I had a TB backup and Nandroid on my ExtSD from 2 days back and an EFS so I ran the install again and chose Full Wipe - again everything went well... until I tried to download TB so I could restore all my apps and data. Play Store opened and stayed Open (yaaaay!) and TB acts like it is downloading but nothing comes through - it just sits until it times out on an error.
I tried several apps and none would DL but then AuWeather DL'd just fine. I went back to TB - no go.Nor for Google+, Flipboard, Cool Reader, Pandora Radio, Memory Boost - why the hell AuWeather worked I don't know...
After much frustration I Restored my Nandroid and got back to where I was (Omega v35) but still I couldn't DL or update for TB. At least Play Store stays open though. I tried running the v40 update again, installing the Default, just in case, (& I have just finished DL'ing v41) but the DL/Update problem persists.
Now on:
AP – I9300XXEMA2
CP – I9300BUELK1
CSC – I9300LBEMA1
RF cal – 2012.6.28
HW Rev – MP 1.100
Any ideas? If I can't DL TB once I have flashed, I can't get my data back so a wipe isn't really an option until I fix the DL issues.
So... I tried restoring back to v35 and got the same problem. And yet that version has been running since v35 came out, at least a couple of months. So I did it again but this time used the Android Revolution Wipe zip, then a straight install of v35. I could then load TB from Play Store and restore my apps and data. Phone seems back to normal now although I have lost some logs data from the couple of days between my backup and now - no biggie... I also now can update my apps.
So it seems it is something to do with Omega v40.
I've just DL'd v41 so will give that a try. Any help with what might have gone wrong would be much appreciated.
Hi,
So, a couple of days from now i notice an odd behavior with my playstore: it doesn't show anything on "installed apps", front page looks like the one attached. I dont remember been tweaking arround for some time, the last thing i remember was upgrading xBlastTools, messing with some settings on it (the 'stop sending google something' comes back to mind) and with greenify. When the issue was aknowledge i tried to revert the settings, disable all xposed modules, uninstall and stuff with "no sucess" (when i get the store to work, it stop working at first reboot). Then i've fully formated it (restored a vanilla bkp i had w/o restoring data). Got store working, rebooted, gone.
my device is
>a Razr M xt907 running stock [4.1] at first, then PACman v23 [4.2.2]
>rooted, unlocked bootloader
>TWRP v2.5
>was running greenify and the following Xposed modules: xPrivacy, AppSettings_0.4, com.modaco.toolkit, XblastTools_1.5, Master Key Dual Fix
-store version doesn't seem to make diference (odd behavior ocurred on both newest and the older available on stock)
-rom doesnt seem to make a diference (odd behavior ocurred on both [4.2]PAC and [4.1]stock after fresh bkps restores. those backups were done when system was just installed and fully working)
-'vanillaness' doesnt seem to make a diference: formated the device to be almost out of the box-like (still bl-unlocked and w/ TWRP) and still no luck
-enabling/disabling/uninstalling xposed modules doesnt seem to make a diference
-dpi doesn't seem to make a diference (got it both working and not working randomly messing w/ PAC size/layout settings.)
odd behavior1
1.Got store working again
2.Reboot
3.Open the store
4.The "by using google play, you agree to the 'blablabla' accept/decline" prompt
5. Stop working again (as seen on screenshot)
obs: rebooting doesnt make it work again ever
odd behavior2 (working>notworking>working)
-on PAC
1.playstore not working
2. switch dpi size/layout
3.get the "by using google play, you agree to the 'blablabla' accept/decline" prompt
4. it works
5. changes dpi again
6.get the "by using google play, you agree to the 'blablabla' accept/decline" prompt (again)
7.stops working
8. changes dpi again
9. no prompt (and thus still not working)
everything i do to get it working again, seems to be gone after the first reboot i do. Im amazed that not even a full wipe would work. Is it possible that some screw setting got sync'd with google?
obs: two 'devices' have been on my gp accounts for quite some time (couple of months maybe) and of course only 1 is working since ive ever only owned this one device (i dont have idea how google created 2 entries for the same device)
im literally going crazy with this, it doesnt seem to make any freaking sense!
my sanity would very much appreciate any help
thanks
I just bought a Samsung Galaxy S3 SGH-T999L with Android 4.3, then downloaded Titanium Back-up, and then started removing several apps (in an attempt to strip the bloatware). Now when I go to Google Play and try to install a new app, I click the "Install" button and wait for the progress meter to reach 100%, but no "Open" button appears afterward (which used to happen). When I search my phone, there are no icons for any of the new apps I try installing.
Does anyone know which app I deleted that caused this problem? Thank you.
Put back you're nandroid backup. (I assume you make one before you start deleting some apps.)
Or flash a stock rom back without whipping. So you dont lose some data.

Have you tried rebooting the phone?
if you have installed TB then you have rooted the phone obviously. Explore your data folder from the root directory using TB or any advanced file explorers like Root explorer or Es file explorer. Find the apk files of the apps you have installed just to verify if your play store has downloaded the apps to your phone.
Also are you sure if you removed only bloatware or any core apks related to your android system... like eg: application provider.apk
I did not make a backup. Before flashing a ROM, I wanted to post here and see if anyone knows what app being deleted caused the behavior I described. That's what I'm wondering: Do you know which specific app being deleted would cause Google Play to have the described problem? When I try to install a new app, it gets to "100%" on the status bar, but subsequently fails to display the "Open" button. Everything else on the phone works flawlessly and I put a lot of time into customizing the phone with apps I like.
Having said that, I am curious about the option to flash a ROM that you mentioned. The reason I did not want an Apple phone is because they seemed to restrictive of options and freedom. But lately I am thinking about Google censoring AdBlock from Google Play, the EFF's criticism of doing away with AppOpps, and shoving Google+ down the throats of YouTube users. So, I looked into Cyanogen but my model of phone was not listed on Cyanogen's website for phones tested to work. I am interested to exploring the idea of flashing a ROM (which I never did before) but I definitely want to keep my 4G LTE functioning via T-Mobile. Any ideas?
Yes, I searched. Both issues. Separately.
So I'm finally entering the world of custom ROMs on my Galaxy S III after putting up with rooted stock (UGH TouchWiz) for two years.
The main trouble comes with apps post-flashing. Even between versions of stock (several of which were custom), when I had to wipe the device completely unlike now, whenever I'd sign into the Play Store, the apps I'd previously had installed would be reinstalled. Then, Titanium Restoring was really just a "making sure" option. But on all the ROMs I've tried (three so far), after installing Gapps and signing in, this just doesn't happen. I'm not certain why because it's the same device and I've used TiB to change the Android ID back, even.
And this wouldn't be such a problem IF TiB didn't A) NOT have an option to only restore user apps and B) break push notifications for apps that use them.
What gives? I've Nandroid restored back to stock twice because of this.
P.S. feel free to move this into a device-specific subsection if necessary. These seemed like general issues but they may not be.

Hello? This is kinda throwing a wrench in me being able to use my phone. No matter what I do, how many times I sync EVERYTHING, when I flash the new ROM it only downloads a few apps. I'm pretty certain sync just isn't working on my stock ROM. What do I do?
Hi,
I have some really strange App crashes since a few weeks: Google Photos won't run, an app from my carrier (MeinVodafone) and Google Search. The strangest thing is that Google Search is working...partially. I can not open the app directly, but I can open it via voice (timer etc is working and search also has no problems) and I can open the settings in Google Settings (Play Services). Attached are some catlog logs.
I'm running ParanoidAndroid 5.1 (5.1.1) on an d802. Build is from 1st june.
I'm also running XPosed Framework. I already thougt that WebViewGoogle could be the cause for that, but that would affect more apps and I haven't found any hint on that in the logs.
Any tips what could cause these strange crashes?
UPDATE: I just changed my system language to english (from German) and at least Photos is running without problems...
I have 3 possible solutions..
1. Reinstall apps
2. Wipe /data, /cache from recovery
3. Reinstall the rom or choose another rom.
Third should work but idk if you want that.
I already reinstalled them and I'm already running the second or third update. I'll try it with wiping /cache and /dalvik-cache, /data would delete all apps
Ok please update the thread with news
It looks like I cannot wipe /cache, it says done but shows the old "E: cannot mount storage" and then I stuck on boot animation for over 15 minutes, way longer than normal. Repair it also doesn't help that.
I know I can delete dalvik-cache by deleting the files in /data/dalvik-cache/arm. Is there a way for cache too? That would be the only way to do that
@Artim_96 yes there is a way but I think its pointless. Try flashing stock rom or any other non-lollipop rom and then return to lollipop.
I don't think that's the only possible solution. I'm on PA since January, the bug with Google Search and MeinVodafone is only since a few weeks.
It surely isn't only possible solution but it is recommended.
it is pointless to flash a KK ROM, restore the apps, install an LP ROM and restore the apps again. It just makes no sense to do so.
I never said to restore apps, wipe everything (system, data, cache) and flash rom and gapps.
So you want me to reinstall everything, right? Are you kidding me? And what should I use? A blank system just with Google Apps?
I now got search to work again, the problem was the XPosed Module "Force Immersive mode", the other app is still not working, so I made another log with all modules disabled.
But I found another bug: the location service seems to be not working properly: no app that should be shown is there and Google Fit was not working today. (I never really use it, so I just saw that and because Fit was draining the battery to much I just reinstalled it to test it)
