It's not possible unless you have root
Have you tried an apk donwload site? I was able to get Age of Empire on my wifes HD 7 without root.
Found APK, downloaded(system told me download failed), used Root Explorer and went into downloads folder and there it was. Installed. Got error message saying it needed Google Play services, said ok and everything worked fine.

Hi.
I'm being tempted to buy the new Kindle Fire HDX because of the build quality, amazing speakers and amazing specs. What puts me off is the lack of Google Play store but my main concern is not being able to download and sign-in to Google services and apps such as Youtube, maps, Email, etc.
What alternative ways (or third-party stores) that i can download so i can use and sign-in to most (if not all) of Google services apps that i normally need and have?
Please advice.
Thanks.
Take a look at the forums. At this point you can flash your HDX so that it's basically Android 4.2.2. Thing like Google Apps will all work. I check Gmail and use Google Drive daily on my HDX.
HDX is the best 7 inch tablet on the market right now. Its only real flaw being Fire OS can be remedied by anyone even remotely competent.
1mobile app store works, and you can download most if not all of the google apps through that. All that's really missing is the play store.
My wife has the old Kindle Fire HD and i have downloaded the 1Mobile market plus Good e-reader and Aptoide successfully. I found most (but not all of them) Google apps there but i noticed that you can't sign-in to them especially Youtube. Gmail is no big deal as i can check my mails on my phone or Mac. And there is no Google+ which is a shame. Unless i'm blind or its there now but last night i can't find it.
I dont' want to root my Kindle Fire HDX as im not familiar in the first place and i am very satisfied with just sideloading apps and going through third-party app stores. If there is another way to download the Google apps & services then ill buy the Fire HDX today.
So, apart from the ones i mentioned above is there another way(s) to look for .apk files of my favourite Google apps like Google+, Youtube, Maps, Translate, Drive, etc.? Please??

Try this http://androidcowboy.com/android-apk-files-download/
Sent from my KFAPWI using xda app-developers app
I am not desperate but it would be awesome if one can install the Google Play store on a Kindle Fire without rooting.

Just bought a 7 inch Kindle fire HDX and its a very nice tablet that I have managed to sideload clash of clans on. I can not find a way to load my old town from my old android tablet however. I have tried installing all the stuff for google play services using ES file explorer and all installed fine. Gmail works fine. when I try to load my old town using google plus sign in(only method I could find in game) I get a message that google play services are not supported on this device and to contact the manufacture. Any help getting around this would be appreciated otherwise my return date is early July and I will have to return it.
Unfortunately, the only way to make *that* work is for you to full root the tablet and load the Gapps properly.
Been using coc on my kindle as a clan member and test account. I've almost caught up to my real all account
rooted, HELP
Ok, used towelroot and then went thru and installed all the gapps on android cowboy to make gmail work and have google+ installed and working with no issues. Have signed in to both gmail and +. When I go to clash of clans and try to do the G+ sign in to load my town, I get a popup saying : Google Play Services
Google Play Services, which some of your applications rely on, is not supported by your device. Please contact the manufacture for assistance.
Any ideas? Guessing I am missing a module that talks between G+ and G+ sign in but no clue which one.
installed apps listed below if it helps
Gmail
Google Account manager
Google play services
Google services framework
Google +
HDXPosed
Added the google play store tonight and I am in, I can finally retire my old OG kindle fire that weighs 300lbs. Thanks for all your work making this possible since it would take me forever to go to each thread I read and thank people. If I can be of any help with what worked for me I will try.

after side loading all the google apps listed at android cowboy to add a google account didnt help, I went back and added google + I could sign in but still got the message. dug around some more on android cowboy and went to androidcowboy.com/android-apk-files-download/ and downloaded the play store apk and google login service. i then installed Play store and rebooted without opening it, did the same wiht login service then rebooted. went back in and opened clash of clans and got the message do you want to load xxxx's village you will lose your current one. clicked yes and bam I was in. not for sure that I needed login service as I didnt test before installing but it was late and I was ready to sleep.
I hope this helps and works for someone as I didnt document anything as I went along so all of this is from memory. I was rooted with Towelroot already and had made a backup with titanium to be safe and of course used toolkit to disable OTA

I recently bought a Fire HDX 8.9 and am trying to get my old village up and running on it.
I have followed all the instructions from www gizmag com/how-to-install-google-apps-kindle-fire-hd-hdx/30736 which included doing the following in the exact order:
Google Account Manager and reboot the tablet.
Google Services Framework and reboot the tablet.
Google Play Services and reboot the tablet.
Gmail and reboot the tablet.
I also sideloaded Clash of Clans, YouTube, and Google Play Music.
Clash of Clans and Google Play Music will not allow me to sign in, but Gmail and Google Play Music work fine.
After doing some research, it is my understanding that you have to have your phone rooted, in order to sync up. Is this true?
If so, is there a way to root get it to sync and then unroot and keep the village that loaded (from my existing account)? I am just looking for a one time load, I guess, if that is possible.
Please help and thanks.

Yes you must have root. Also, you cannot unroot because it will break. I was in the same situation. Root lets gapps and sync works.
Long Story Short:
Bought my Nan a Kindle Fire while it was on offer. I then ran a script to install Google Play, services and framework etc. Which worked and I could download from the Play Store as normal.
She likes it and can go on the apps, but won't understand downloading properly.
I went onto Google Play on my laptop on her account, attempted to download apps remotely, but the Kindle doesn't appear.
How do I make it appear?
Thanks
Anyone?

After I updated my kindle fire HD 7 to the newer 5.3.2 version, the google play services stop working correctly: the YouTube doesn't launch (white screen on the startup).
I've tried to reinstall the app from the Play Store without success for that problem. After that I tried to install different google play services versions and I tried to install again the 4 APK needed to get the google play store working on kindle fire and I it get worse because I was stuck with a older play store version... after many tries I decided to restore the OS...
How I fixed that:
I did a factory restore on kindle fire, applied all the updates.
I didn't login with my amazon account
Installed the google play store using the instructions from this link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/amazon-fire/general/how-to-install-google-play-store-fire-t3486603
YouTube working
After the google play services automatically update, I had to restart to device to YouTube start working again.
As long I can use the google play store and the google apps I will stick with the stock ROM. Also I noticed an overall increased performance with this fresh install

Did you install 5.3.2 with root ? Or just by itself (unrooted) ?
No root. I never rooted my kindle, no need of that yet
