Stays at startup screen.
Not sure if I did everything right.
Have TWRP rom,
- 64 bit gapps
- Did format all partitions
However after flashing zip from recovery, it goes to PAC startup screen, and stays there for almost 45 Mins. Did restart but no avail, not sure if anyone else faced this. Back to old rom using backup restore.
Appreciable work really, will you give some more Screen shot please.?
Another ROM to try:thumbup:
Thanks n appreciate your hard work @Santhosh M

here are a few from my setup... all these 5.1.1 roms are almost the same. resurrection remix appeals to me the most in that it has the a few more customisation options. all these roms have the silly 'call-waiting bug', if i may call it that. i haven't installed any gapps packages (i usually don't) and there haven't been any fc's for me even after customising the rom to my liking and restoring all my data and apps+data. rom installation took 25 secs, boot animation 98 secs and boot-up 180 secs. the reasons for the 'beta-1' rom title and 'stable' status might become apparent only after installing gapps and further testing.

After trying only rom installation and then gapps it worked. Thanks. Good rom.
Most stable ROM I have used yet
Its an amazing ROM. Despite how much I use the device it has not heat up to infernal temperatures yet . I use my device for atleast 8-10 hours a day with constant WiFi and constant data streaming. I watch live games on twitch and I watch YouTube videos for most of the day and the battery holds up just fine 15 hours is what I get which is more than any lollipop ROM out there. Faced some media server issues on other ROMs but this ROM does not have that. Had to root it manually using a.zip file which was the only tedious part about flashing. All in all a good ROM no issues. Since I am not much of a call oriented person I have not yet got the call waiting bug so idk about that. Yes there are fewer customization options than other ROMs but I'll take stability over looks anyday. Thanks to the developer for making an amaizng ROM hope you keep it updated !

My pleasure! Easy to build it! Hopefully it's enjoyed by many here. The OG was a great phone when I had it. Still use it once in a while.
Let me know if anything seems funny.

Is it mako based or gproj and Which kernel it uses ? And if i m not wrong we have a thread for PAC man. so what's difference between unofficial and this one ?
Its gproj based. Not sure on the difference. Its just a current, updated ROM.

Don't use L gapps since this is 4.4 and WiFi works just fine. Using it on mine since I don't use mine daily and don't have a sim card in it.
For gapps use the one that is linked in the op and download the 4.4 one.
How do I fix the "turning WiFi on...." then?

WiFi works on mine as well.
I would just do a clean install with the gapps and see what happens.

1. Make sure your device is rooted
2. I used TWRP 2.8
3. Put files on SD Card and install from there. Maybe corrupted zip, download again?
Try flashing the attached file for the WiFi issues.
It was just the build. Flashed an AOSP rom and it worked perfectly.

can you tell me How's battery life ? i mean it should be avrage 3-4 h SOT and good deep sleep.
Also my main question is if there is any telephony bug like cm rom ? Due to which we can't talk with anyone and there no sound while calling on both side.

Cant comment on current version battery life but previous were acceptable IMHO. The telephony bug has been addresses on the CM side so any rom with up to date code based on current CM will be fixed as well.
This is by far the best Rom I've used, and I've used quite a few. Functionality and features can't be matched. My only issue is battery life. I usually get about 8-10 hours, with screen on for close to 2 hrs. Are there any kernels you guys could suggest which would give better battery life, I'd like to try them out. And what battery life are you guys getting with this Rom?

Whatever it was that you did seemed to work. The ROM works great so far. Only question for you is there anyway of implementing a long press back button configuration? I don't care about killing apps, I'm more looking for long press back for previous app.

Will add that to the to-do list.
I'm getting strange coloring also, I'm guessing it has something to do with the livedisplay from CM. All my colors seem really degraded and the blacks are funky also. Anyone have an idea how to fix this?
this isnt a safestrap rom is it?

I ran the 3/08 nightly (second one released) with the GAPPS suggested in the OP. It had some color degrading issues so I had to go back to my previous rom until it's addressed.
That's the same thing I tried but I keep getting FC with play store browser and google search. Tried different gapps as well. Guess it could be a bad down load I'll try once more but may have to wait for the next release.

Ocarinaz64 is taking over the ROM builds for PAC. Since jewel is no longer my primary, it's in the best interest of Evo users that the ROMs are compiled by someoen who can test all of the features (especially the important ones, like phone calls!)

Nice. My all time favorite rom from the OG Evo.
Been waiting for this. Installing now.
---------- Post added 9th March 2015 at 12:16 AM ---------- Previous post was 8th March 2015 at 11:18 PM ----------
I get stuck in boot loop. Did factory reset and installed rom only. Did system reboot and it got stuck in boot loop. Boot into recovery, wiped dalvik and reinstalled rom with gapps. Still stuck in boot loop.
Which file bootloooped? There are 2. The beta bootloooped on me just now. Going to try dl'ing the other file and see how I do.
the other one isn't bootlooped
Both files bootlooped for me.
Checked md5. Full wipe, flashed rom and gapps together. Reboot. Bootloop.
Any suggestions on what you may have done differently?
Try flashing one of the kernel packages after flashing the ROM. Haven't got a chance to test yet, but I suspect a bad kernel image in ROM zip file.

Booted with half pop. I'll run it a day or 2 and get back to you.
Dirty flashed rom, half popped kernel, and gapps last night. Been running smooth for the most part all day. Most apps work fine (including camera). Music app shows two of everything and crashes when song is selected. Recent apps tab hangs and then jumps to lock screen after 5 seconds.

You'll need to be on the new partition layout in order to flash the ROM.
New build posted 03252015
I'm running this now. Should be more stable than the prior builds I've posted. PAC has fixed a few things.

Where can I find the on how to update to the new partition? Thanks in advance
This ROM is the first of the available Lollipop builds that I flashed on my Evo 4G LTE and it is incredibly well built! I have an old Galaxy Nexus that I am also running on WiFi only and the Lollipop builds are nowhere near as stable as this ROM. Big thanks to the developer and keep up the great work!

Yup, that's exactly what I did. I did the standard wipe then went to advanced wipe and wiped the "system" for good measure although the last step I did may not be mandatory

Factory reset, then did Advanced System Wipe for good measure. Flashed ROM, Half Popped, and Gapps. Has been running smooth for a week. I am still having the same issue with all music apps. Any time a song is selected the music app will crash. Loving this ROM though.

ROM is sweet so far! One thing I cannot find: I see OmniSwitch listed on the feature list, but cannot seem to find it. Where might I find it in the ROM? Or if it has not yet been merged, I assume from feature list there are plans to bring it to this ROM, yes?

Sprint
Good Evening,
I wanted to drop by and say thanks for posting this great ROM. It has always been one of my favorites and am very excited to have it on my device! Great first impressions, everything runs very smoothly.
I am having a small "cosmetic" issue. I have only experienced this on one other ROM, on the Sprint network, when in "3G" coverage instead of LTE the carrier name reads as "31000" instead of Sprint. If I am in any other coverage zone, such as LTE, it reads as it should: "Sprint". NOTE: This does NOT seem to affect data. Data still works and everything seems fine other than the cosmetic name. I just thought it was worth pointing out.
Thanks again!!
RPelham
ROM is sick so far! Everything seems to work with the exception of themes - haven't seen mention of it in here but has anyone been able to get a theme working without FCs? Everything else is lovely thus far.. quite impressive for an initial beta release.. given the incredibly rough evening I observed on Jenkins it's quite impressive indeed.
@skiwong20
first of all thanks for bringing pac rom to nexus 6.
found a minor bug.
i live in a place where there's no lte so i changed the preferred mobile network from lte to 3g, hit the home button and when i went back to recheck the mobile network settings it was reset to lte.
the rom is pretty smooth for an initial release.
This ROM is amazing, hope themes will get fixed soon, I also have this bug shortcuts calls on locksreen , pic attached , this bug is present on all cm12 tried except on RR rom ( same icons instead of photos )
Thanks for these build

1. Download B321 Recovery from:
https://drive.google.com/folderview...sharing&tid=0B-nJFDpWA4MdVjhEYzU3TXlMZ0U#list
2. Copy recovery to your adb folder (usually c:\adb)
3. flash recovery using ADB ( I recommend renaming the file to something easier like b321recovery.img so it will be something like "fastboot flash recovery c:\adb\b321recovery.img
4. Download B322 Image from Huawei Site:
5. http://consumer.huawei.com/us/support/downloads/detail/index.htm?id=52043
6. Unzip and copy dload folder to your SD Card on your phone.
7. Power off phone and do the following.
8. Turn off the phone. Hold vol up+vol down+power until the Huawei logo comes up and then release only the power button. Keep holding the vol up+vol down until it starts upgrading/installing.
10. Once phone boots go to about phone and keep clicking "build number" until you unlock developer options
11. Enable "USB Debugging" in Developer Options under Settings.
12. Download TWRP 2.8.7.0 from:
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347796529
13. Flash TWRP same you you flashed stock recovery in step 3. (I would rename to twrp.img) (fastboot flash recovery c:\adb\twrp.img)
14 Boot back into TWRP and restore your backup or install new build.

I'm unable to replicate that so the log would definitely be great.

Not really what you wanted. But I will get it in the morning. Lol having to jump back and forth with some stuff. This should get you something to look at.
I will swap to your gapps package. And reinstall.
I managed to get chrome going. Accessing web is a no go. Bookmarks or manually typing aa URL and it just sits. Keeps crashing through touch activities. Initial setup of the phone crashes as well. Clicking OK and it doesn't reappear.

I'm gonna see if I replicate that on today's build. As of now, it's compiling, but should be finished and uploaded within the next 10-15 minutes.
Also: Due to overall lack of interest, I'm moving this from nightly to weekly starting next Wednesday, and then probably semi-weekly. That way it would be easier to focus my attention to other projects and it frees up a ton of resources. Also, change logs are now going to be posted every Wednesday as well in post #3, not too long after the newest build is posted.

Yeah, there's not a lot of people with this phone. I think the people that do have this phone but aren't on here are most likely the ones that give no cares about flashing things.
But still, thank you so much for doing this. It is deeply appreciated by all of us. :good:

So far. How would you rank the three available ROMs (as they stand) for those who would like to flash one of them ?

This is the only one to be updated so far. And it is much improved. Battery is much better and everything works. UI is smooth and quick. Faster than stock by far. They must have pulled the newest additions from Matt's guthub. No cell problems at all. Battery life seems close to stock. Haven't had a chance to verify exact life. But I am not running and wqkeloxk blockers or limiters. Am at 90% and screen has been on 1.2 hours. But I have been uodqting from play store and redownloading apps. Setting up screen etc. Will post again later with screen shots.

That's excellent news !! Why wouldn't you do a screen cast of the ROM ? No need for a voice over or anything. Just record the screen while showing off the ROM features, what works etc . . . Please do that.
