OK... I could not reply to a thread in the developers section as I have less than 10 posts but I have been reading through the forum for some time now and one member here interested me when he stated that he contacted the SE hotline in France and they confirmed to him that X10 Mini Pro would recieve the 2.3 update.
just call'em and you'll see.
They haven't been working on froyo but now they know that they can do a good ROM for the SE mini pro so it's comming soon.
the numbers to call Xperia custommers service is just right there...

Well basically I have done the same thing but in the UK and have confirmed to me that they will NOT be giving further updates for the X10 Mini Pro.
I believe the only thing we can do is concentrate on cracking the bootloader.
Let's stop kiddings ourselves here, armv6 doesn't support flash 10.1 and multi-touch is really not ideal for such a small screen for the X10 Mini Pro. I can see why SE would not bother updating our handsets.
Hi Guys,
I hate to do this (1st post and a stupid question) but I have been searching a couple days now. So here it goes.
I have bought an x10 mini pro a week ago, but the Sony Ericsson flavor of Android is driving me mad (where the heck is the separate volume control for messages?). I would like to root it with a 2.1 Rom that is as close to the original vanilla android as possible. AOSP in other words
Other phones do have roms like this, my G1 is rocking with AOSP GB and I am happy with it. Is there such a rom for the X10 Mini Pro.
BTW, its a nifty little phone, but I never had a phone with a LONGER name
that would be awesome
for mini pro u got 2 roms that works prfect maided by owain and they are CM6-Froyo, CM7-Gingerbread
sory for bad english
Well im talking about new launching xperia mini & mini pro NOT xperia x10 mini & mini pro
Guys i have a suggestion..... Let me know your views.
Well i think this way,
Since SE is not planning on giving any upgrade to xperia x10 mini & mini pro...But is going to give it to the new xperia mini & mini pro which SE is launching.....
I think we should all convince SE to give out an offer for existing xperia x10 mini & mini pro users to exchange their xperia x10 mini & mini pro for new xperia mini & mini pro (which they are lauching or i guess launched in some places) @ a minimal cost say between 20% - 50% of the new launching xperia mini & mini pro or whatever we all agree on???
Cant we trying doing this....?
XDA has lot of members & i think wid all this no. of members we can atleast try???
There's already rumours about the 1st gen mini & mini pro getting 2.3.
The newest source (Vodafone Australia Blog) has said they could be working on it within 6 weeks or less. So things are certinly looking good for those who have the older xperia range.
This is recived 2 weeks after it was announced that the x10 would get an update to 2.3 due to demand.

Odd, why would a carrier just drop a whole range of phones like that?
and oh yes, i heard it from vodafone staff too when i first bought my MP. but i didn't buy it too long after the 2.1 update, so i wasn't too fussed about the software, the design was what sold this phone to me
and then... i found you guys and all was good!
but now (mini pro) we have the full 5MP camera (not sure if the mini has it yet) in our custom roms im not sure that there is a point to getting it as on the x10 they didnt even update the kernel so i doubt there woould be any benefits unless they enabled multi touch further than we have from slades driver (e.g 3 point or the full 7)
Already have it.
Yeah to have the official one would be nice.
it's an aquired taste, some people don't want all the extra in the roms like Cyanogenmod. and just want the official upgrade

Because of bugs and problems and android not screaning aplications properly before putting them on market
Were only going to be doing wp iphone and blackberry
Such a shame I think
But also vodaphone au removed the post and commented on there fb page to say it was a mistake

Dude thats just for x10 mini pro....
what about x10 mini???
i think guys we should all come together for this & demand together @ SE community site either for upgrade or my idea...
May I ask why there is no XPERIA MINI treads on XDA developers.
Thaks.
this has been asked before, I don't know how you posted this without an identical thread showing up. It was decided that the Minis can stick together and the pros together. The software isn't entirely compatible (apps and some SE framework yes, the rest, no) so keep an eye out that you DL what you need and not for the other mini.
i think he means the new mini...
Yes, I mean new mini.
But now I found treads here:

Thanks
The OLD and NEW Minis are combined in these threads...........
I found what is problem.
You can't see Xperia mini if you use compact view.
You can only see this in expanded view.
Hi guys,
Please see link here: http://theultralinx.com/2011/10/htc...evices-as-possible-to-ice-cream-sandwich.html
HTC is planning to upgrade 'as many as possible' of their phones to Android 4.0 when it is released later this month. Now I know what your going to say... "This is HTC - not our SE X10 mini Pro" , but imagine if they can put ICS on as many of their phones as possible - if HTC dev's can do it, then some of our clever devs here at XDA will definitely be able to also do this for our X10 mini Pro (once Google releases the Core ICS source code to devs, and perhaps once CyanogenMod9 is released) - am I right???
Is any dev able to do this??
i hope so
