Hi there, got myself today a galaxy s6 edge 128GB, SM-G925F with lollipop 5.0.2, LRX22G.G925FXXU1A0D9. I wanted to root it with CF-Auto-Root, but used first a version not compatible with my phone, that, is not for SM-G925F (because I used an Odin placed in a zip for a wrong version, that proposed to me wrong tar, etc... my bad).
Of course, after, rooting failed --> root checker was lauching the su granting window, which was frozen... No other problem. I finally found the good CF-Auto-Root, CF-Auto-Root-zerolte-zeroltexx-smg925f.zip, and retried to root my device, but with the same result as the first time...
Would someone have an advice ? Should I flash a stock rom, and reroot the device with the right CF-Auto-Root-zerolte-zeroltexx-smg925f.zip, or is there a problem with this rooting technique in general ?
Thx in advance;

Ok, I flashed the official naked french rom from here :
http://www.phonandroid.com/forum/fi...lollipop-galaxy-s6-edge-sm-g925f-t119301.html
and it went totally ok. Then I wanted to CF-Auto-Root it, with the correct CF-Auto-Root-zerolte-zeroltexx-smg925f.zip from here :
http://www.droidviews.com/root-samsung-galaxy-s6-edge-sm-g925f-using-cf-auto-root/
and got the very same issue as I had initially : odin went well, with, after several reboot a blue "reset", which finally turned into a green "passed". Then I tried "root checker" which launched the su granting window, which was frozen again...
The Firmware Stock rom G925FXXU1AOD9 I got here has no problem, so I'm starting to ask myself if the cf-root file I got is corrupted or not, but it points to
https://download.chainfire.eu/737/CF-Root/CF-Auto-Root/CF-Auto-Root-zerolte-zeroltexx-smg925f.zip
which is trustwhorty... Any idea ?
PS : i put in attachment the odin mode i have on my phone, maybe there's some info here that someone could exploit the information, as well as results given by root checker pro

I have just started to use android. Galaxy S 2 is my 1st ever android device gifted by my wife on our 2nd anniversary. Even though it was bought in Lahore, Pakistan; it is 3 mobile UK branded gs2. I was about to root it watching this video: youtube(DOT)com/watch?v=KNVE0UDe-bQ
I realized that since this is branded and I cant even update it (which could mean that it is locked), I may not be able to root the device following this video. Also, I am confused since my device's build number and kernel number are pretty different (screen shot attached).
Can someone guide me easy to follow exact steps to root this device safely? If I mess up, my wife will use the brick on me .
What software would I want?
Where will I download the software from?
Where will I get the insecure kernel from?
I so want to use WIFIKILL at office

Look in the Original Development Section for CF-Root, this has everything you should need and good easy to follow instructions....
Read the OP fully Before you try anything!

There is only one issue here.. I do not know what the ODS is as I am new here. It would be nice of you, if you would guide me with links?
You can remove network lock AFTER rooting. You can root using cfroot but ChainFire has only released cfroot for stock firmware not branded 3 firmware so you will need to flash to stock firmware, root, rhen use the network unlonk in the market. I found the CF one didnt work but the other one in the market works.
After you have done this then you can use ClockWorkMod (added with cfroot) to flash the gtalk with video.
There is alot to learn...

can root i9100G not? coz i having a problem on it
Thanks Rajesh. Let me show you the crap apps I am dealing with. The guide you are have referred to; will it work for my branded GS2?
I have another question. Can I de brand the device and get rid of all these apps without rooting it? I will not be able to use wifikill, but then if this is more complicated then rooting a non branded S2; I guess I will have to live with this! HATE IT!
Phone is now rooted!!!
Thank you everyone! My phone is now rooted and I am all set!
Hi Guys, I'm in a stupid situation and I hope you can help me.
I tried to root my new ZOPO ZP500+ Plus MTK6577 following the instructions from this russian forum: http://forum.china-iphone.ru/viewtopic.php?p=758619#p758619 by using the SP Flash Tool. It was successful, so I got root. But now I have no WLAN and no Bluetooth. :crying:
So I downloaded the original Zopo 500+ Firmware from here:http://www.zopomobile.com/fuwu.php and flashed it. Unfortunately the problem hasn't been resolved.
I try my luck at http://www.zopomobileshop.com/en/content/9-download-zopo-mobile-latest-rom but especially the file for the ZOPO ZP500+ is no longer available.
Please, can someone help me to solve the problem? I know, there are a lot of smart people here. Thank you.
ZOPO ZP500+ PLUS original Firmware / Boot Image
Okay, I got it with the firmware from http://www.zopomobile.com/xiazai.php
Attention for all others: there are two versions of the firmware. Only the version from 20121009 worked for me.
There is also a paper as a pdf on the page that describes the different versions. There is probably a sticker on the back under the battery that indicates the version. For me, this sticker is missing completely, so I could't determine the version.

More on ZP500+ rooting
Further to the above excellent post (noting the firmware differences which is important to know when updating the PROM) I also noted that the root process has caused some users problems. There is a thread on Android.net that I quote below, noting how a ZP500+ was rooted recently. Note it refers back to an xda-developers.com thread about one method for generic rooting a phone:

I have a ZP500+ but in my case the supplier (Etotalk.com) rooted the phone for me prior to shipping the phone too me.
For everybody who has a ZP500+, I'm almost sure that, if you don't have the sticker, your version is 6620 (if you have the sticker, it could be 6628 or 6620, which it is ticked).
I'm having a lot of problems rooting the phone... Teorically, it is rooted, but a lot of apps don't work (root uninstaller, adaway, adblock, root xplorer, etc). In fact, the only app with succesful root access in my phone have been Apex Launcher... Toooooo weird :S
any ideas?? thanks!

Hi guys. First post to the forum, been lurking for years, just registered.
I recently updated my phone with the update that Samsung kept bothering me about every 2 hours or so. And It has messed my phone up, it's slow, it drags. It doesn't even show the clock on my lock screen without thinking about it for about 10 seconds. Train wreck.
I've rooted, installed custom recovery, and loaded custom roms on my Galaxy S i9000 and on my grouper Nexus 7. I kinda get how all this works, I'm not a total newb, but with this phone I am at a dead end and i've tried everything I know, and a bunch more tricks I learned here and nothing is working.
My Phone: Samsung Galaxy S3: Canadian (Bell) version SGH-I747M, supposedly the same as the S3 AT&T,

I had to use zadig to replace my drivers for Heimdall
Heimdall will sucessfully flash clockwork recovery, but it refuses to install my CM rom. I haven't tried any other roms, but from what I've read in the forum here, it doesn't seem to matter what rom you use, it just wont do it.
I get Assert, bootloader errors when trying to install from zip in Clockwork Recovery. tried the fix here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=41503727
and it does not work. Odin just says "FAILED" right away.
I thought maybe if I just rooted the phone first, I could at least flash a custom recovery and not have it over written everytime I boot.
I tried CF-AutoRoot, Odin says success, but nothing changes on my phone.
I tried OneClickRoot which worked wonders on my GS i9000 back in the day. No success.
I have tried CM Installer to do it automated, It says success, but no change.
People have reported that Knox may be the problem, but as far as I can tell I don't have it on my phone.
I've been working on this for a day and a half and all I've managed to do is factory reset my phone about 12 times. I need help.. I don't know what to do. Has anybody managed to root their phone or install a custom recovery or rom with a GS3 running 4.4?

Wrong forum myfriend post your question here >> http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3-att <<
Hey Guys!
So I recently got a SM Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 LTE (p605) which had Android 4.3 on it. So then I rooted it using the CF/Odin Method (a link to one page describing this method here: ht tp:/ SLASH honai-android DOT blogspot DOT gr/2014/01/how-to-root-galaxy-note-101-2014-lte.html I can't post the link normally, not enough rep, but you guys can google it CF-Auto root) Afterwards I flashed 4.4 Stock Samsung Android on it, and realized I had to root it again, but I seem to get stuck in a bootloop as follows:

The text in the upper left corner says:
RECOVERY BOOTING.....
RECOVERY IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING
Set Warranty Bit: recovery
I can get out of it by flashing pretty much anything besides the root file on it, but the result is a non rooted tablet. I also couldn't find another rooting method for this device out there. Help pls? :cyclops:

Well, this time I would say why don't you flash the stock ROM back over to your device by heading over to sammobile/firmware section ??

Well maybe If you read my post I said that's not my problem (btw, have already flashed it again), but the fact that I can't root my tablet as this method gets me stuck in a boot loop without root results when I reflash.
Hello Guys,
This evening I decided to root my phone and install Jelly Beans ROM for Samsung Verizon Galaxy S4, I began by rooting my phone using Towelroot, everything was great so far. Then I tried to install a CWm Recovery but I failed doing that, I followed a youtube video but I kept getting "loki aboot version does not match device".
I read somewhere else that I could use Safestrap as recovery, I followed all the instructions installed busybox etc...
I finally went into recovery mode and Installed Jely Beans V7. The installer ran fine and I followed all the options the installation finished and it was time to reboot, I hit reboot and the phone never came back.
All I see now is a Samsung boot screen with an unlocked padlock in the bottom, the phone keeps rebooting and I had a hard time getting into recovery, when I finally did it seems like a different recovery and only gives me the options to apply updates and to wipe data.
The android robot is dead with a red triangle.
Please help what can I do???
I take it you missed the part that you can only flash non-touchwiz roms & cwm on phones with an mdk bootloader?
Plenty of threads on here on how to fix this, I'm on my phone otherwise I'd post links
