Hello Guys.
Back after a long time.
I got a new Verizon HTC droid 4G LTE. It was working perfectly at first.
After internet setting and I think it did an update on something. After this It won't send any Audio to the receiver, I can hear the received call but it is not sending any audio to the other end. But when I put the phone in speaker mode, Audio is working perfectly. Even in head set mode it works. I like to know how to fix this. Further more now when I redial it is adding +100 to every number I redial ???
What could be the problem. I tried factory resetting but it did not help. I cannot get into fast boot and that menu to wipe out the data and everything.
Please help. :crying:
What are you running Stock, CM, PAC?
Ummm ! You lost me there..
How can I find what you asking please. ?
Did you root this phone? If yes, which recovery is installed? (TWRP or CWM) Next question would be, What ROM are you running? Stock ROM (as-received), or did you flash something else such as ViperLTE, PAC-man, CyogenMod, etc.?
If not rooted, that might explain why you are limited as to what you can do with it to wipe the caches. I haven't been stock for so long, I honestly cannot remember if clearing cache is an option in stock recovery, but I am guessing no.
P.S. That "+100" on the redial thing is just weird.
Nothing installed. Fresh phone still. It was working before the internet setting.
After net setting it went south. Needed data to use viber and all, hence the internet setting. It did an update on something. I am not sure what.
Ah, OK. So you are 100% factory Stock - no mods whatsoever...
Most likely, you got the latest OTA update (ver. 2.19.605.2) assuming your phone shipped with something older.
When you did the factory reset, did you do the data reset through Settings -> Storage -> Factory Data Reset,
or did you do the Factory Reset through Power+VolDown -> Bootloader -> FACTORY RESET?
I would imagine that the factory reset in the bootloader would be more aggressive.
If that doesn't work and it is under warranty, return and exchange?

No mod done. It is on factory stock I believe.
I did a reset via settings.
I cannot reset via bootloader. The Vol-down + power does not seem to work. Tried a lot of time.
If I may be able to enter boot loader, what should I wipe and in what order ?
Try pulling the battery, then replace it and then try to get to the bootloader.
If the battery pull doesn't work try through ADB if you don't have it installed use the Chrome web browser and install the ADB for Chrome app.
Enable ADB debugging on your phone
plug it into your computer
click the command line option >_
issue the command "reboot bootloader" no quotes
You should reboot to the bootloader

Thank you all. I will try tonight
Out of curiosity, does the internal Mic work when using the sound recorder app? (i.e. Does this issue only affect the phone or is it universal for all apps that use the microphone?)
Did not try mic with any other app...!
I got into fast boot.

First I am trying a factory reset.
Question ...How do I unlock this phone?
I believe the MONARUDO indicates that you have an HTC DNA phone, not an Incredible 4G.
Until you confirm your phone model, I do not recommend trying any of the rooting methods in forum section.
Hopefully the factory reset works!

The reset did not work.
Same as before.
You were right about phone model, I am not sure.
Phone front says Verizon.
Back says HTC, 4G LTE. & below that is beatsaudio.
From the setting phone model is HTC6435LVW
I believe I need to unlock it. So How should go about it.
By the way when the phone starts the splash screen says droid and I can here pone say droid in a robotic voice.
How can I erase the update so it will be the way it was before internet connection ?
Yep, you have the Droid DNA, not the Incredible 4G LTE
Check over here ---> http://forum.xda-developers.com/droid-dna

So I have had this issue with my phone today where I couldn't seem to get passed the Too many pattern attempts screen.
After trying all my combinations of e-mail and passwords, I was unable to access my phone. As a result, I attempted to do a hard reset (the pressing of both volume rockers and then trying to reset it in that recovery mode).
I did so, wiping all my data, but the too many pattern attempts screen remained. So as a result, I booted up Odin and downloaded the stock versions of the Samsung Fascinate's ROM and proceeded to reflash (or what I believe to be reflashing, I simply followed the directions found in the stickies).
That all said and done, my phone still remains in the too many pattern attempts lock.
I've checked the similar posts on a couple of websites, but was unable to find a situation where all of these fixes did not work.
Thank you!
No replies yet, so I am just going to throw this out there on the off chance that it *might* actually work.
The "complete voodoo lagfix removal" uninstall.zip CWM flash seems to be working as a cure-all for just about whatever may ail your phone, whether you actually *have* voodoo or not...
I would check that out in the OP of this thread.
Download the Voodoo Uninstall on your PC. Copy it to your SDcard (if you don't have a computer that you can put the card in after pulling it out of your phone, try using adb to push it to the phone)
Boot into stock recovery, and flash "update.zip" to get into CWM recovery.
Flash that voodoo uninstall zip using CWM.
I really hope this helps. (Just in case it happens to me. )
Let us know!
I work for flextronics. we see this all the time. it's a known issue that the lock screen doesn't reset with a factory wipe. just call the phone, answer and press the home screen button. it's what we do in store

This is more than likely living in /dbdata . You can wipe that by doing a privacy wipe in settings (requires access to the phone), or flash CWM via odin, and then when in recovery, rm -r /dbdata/ and reboot.
If the phone-call / home button thing else_where posted works, obviously go that route, then do a privacy wipe.

you will more than likely need to mount the /dbdata partition r/w before you can delete the data. This is covered in the Voodoo removal thread (which I had the joy of doing).

Hey guys thanks for all the help,
The calling of the phone didn't work. Tried it, but it kept giving me corrupt errors so I wasn't able to access the home screen.
The voodoo removal sort of worked in that while I was doing it, I also went ahead and did a privacy wipe. Everything would be fine and dandy however, my phone no longer connects to any network. It seems to be in a perpetual state of being unable to find a network. It's not airplane mode, but my phone does think it's January first 2005 again.
Did I miss a step?

Yes indeed I did. The first thing I did was the Factory data reset.
Unfortunately, the phone seems to be in a state of perpetual ariplane mode preventing access to any network.
The phone also seems to be suffering from that com.android.phone crashes that I suppose make sense given how the Hardware version and the Baseband version are both unknown.
I'm going to try to flash it again in hopes of resetting my phone. The perpetual airplane mode is of course an issue. (but at least I got the alarm functinoality of my phone back)
Hrm, I'm concerned now. Check your settings / about phone and baseband version. Please tell me it does not say 'unknown'.
Yea, mine wasn't stuck in airplane mode, just didn't connect to google's servers to set up gmail.
If you're still rooted, maybe try the radio update ????
Any update ????

DANGER! - Don't go updating your radio unless you really know what you're doing. Yes there has been a radio update with the D01 however flashing the wrong thing to the radio will result in a shiny brick that as of right now can't be recovered!
Yeah I was seeing a bunch of unknowns in a lot of my slots.
I wasn't sure what was wrong, so I did some more research and it seemed as though that the modem aspect of my phone must have corrupted.
So I simply went to a verizon store and swapped out my phones (since I couldn't find a fixed modem).
The other fix of deleting via the privacy wipe definitely worked though.
Thanks everyone!

what I did I turn the phone off
then turn it on ones the one verizon animation goes of it asks for the email and pass so start hitting home button as fast as you can and sometimes emergency button till it takes you to the main many do not stop till al the icons load up

i hawe a strange problem. Phone turn lockscreen on and off by himself. Idk is there a problem whit software or a program during that.I done factory reset, rebooted phone, but same.
In task no program is runnig only necessary.
What Rom,kernel, and hboot do you have ??? Are you running a theme or have you flashed any extra add ons after you flashed your Rom ??
Root-Hack_Mod*Always\
its all orginal. and 2.3.4, Sens 3.0
Phone is new and i dont want to f somthing for now.
I use go launcher, and widgetlocker, but when i delete this programs its the same.
Widget locker most likey is the culprit. Did do the factory reset from the menu settings???
Root-Hack_Mod*Always\
yes ,but the same. Only now i made f reset, and didnt installed nothing. Seems to be ok. Hm, must be a program.
Yup widget locker more than likely is the culprit since it effects your lock screen and your having lock screen problems not a 100% sure but I'm pretty positive it is. I would recommend not installing the app again. However you can search the playstore for apps that do the same but don't screw up your lock screen you just have to try a few until you find one that works. Me personally I don't install any app that messes with the lock screen.
Root-Hack_Mod*Always\
yes , now im going to reload all apps whitout widgetlocker
Cool that should fix your issue.
Root-Hack_Mod*Always\
lol ,now its getting started again. Idk what its wrong. Seems thats hardware software problem. I dont hawe nothing installed.
Hummm ?? Have you tried a factory reset from your bootloader ?? The settings reset isn't really a factory reset. I mean it is but it isn't because it doesn't completely wipe the phone like the bootloader's reset does I believe. Also before you do that or if you decide to do it don't forget to backup all of your imporant data.
Root-Hack_Mod*Always\
i cant get in. Its not rooted.

you dont have to be rooted to reset your phone through bootloader, first go to settings >power > uncheck fast reboot, and then power off your phone, then press Volume down button + power on button, the phone will start in recovery mode, from there you can reset your phone to factory settings, everything will be wiped off so be sure to backup your contacts sms, pictures etc
thanks
it sounds like it might be a problem with your battery cover, ever drop the phone on the power button region?
no, now i wiped everything hole phone + sd card. Now i'm letting him one day noting installed. will see

Sounds like you might be having an issue with the lock button itself, could be software but i doubt it because uninstalling and reinstalling the software should have fixed it. Figure out what programs are using the lockscreen and remove them one at a time and see if one of them is creating a conflict if not then it has to be an issue with the button itself

Hello I don’t know if anyone might be able to help but if theres any senior members that reads this and can shed any light on my problem, I’d be very grateful. First a little info on my phone and root:
In the bootloader it says ***TAMPERED*** ***UNLOCKED*** JEWEL PVT SHIP S-ON RL, HBOOT- 1.12.0000, RADIO-1.02.12.0427, Open-DSP-v25.o1.32.0405, eMMC boot. The rom that was loaded on the phone was an HTC build called Viper Rom. When the HTC 'quietly brilliant' screen comes up, underneath in red text it says "This build is for developement purposes only Do not distribute outside of HTC without HTC's written permission. Failure to comply may lead to legal action." There were no issues with the bluetooth for months. My Bluetooth started disconnecting roughly 3 or 4 weeks ago and I have tried almost everything I can think of to try and fix it. First checking the three Bluetooth headset devices I use on other devices and they show up no problem. The perplexing thing that I recently found is when connectin via USB and opening all the files on the phone, there is no 'root' file that I can find anywhere. What I have tried:
1. Soft resets
2. safe mode restarts
3. factory resets
4. Bluetooth fix/ repair app
5. Change wifi frequency band from 'auto' to '2.4'
Now all of the 5 things above that I have tried worked one time and all stopped working within about 2 hours. Some almost right away the bt was disconnecting- even though it would re-connect, soon that stopped. From that point forward I have done the following:
1. Downloaded and flashed the 'Team Venom's version of Viper Rom 2.0.0.
The rom worked fine. but no BT. Another member on XDA suggested flashing the latest Mean Rom based on the HTC update 2.13.651.1. Did so, no BT. Then I flashed the latest Viper Rom 2.0.2 also based on the update and no BT. My next step was flashing a rooted version of that update that Max (Mikroms) posted on here. I did a factory rest, wipe cashe, wipe Dalvik cashe- six times before doing so. I Thought bricked my phone, it was bootlooping. I held down the power button for two full minutes then let go and then held down the power and vol down buttons and luckily the bootloader came up. I again did a factory reset, cashe and Dalvik wipe and reflashed the Viper Rom 2.0.2 again. which is the best rom I have ever used. This time some of the viper Tweak aren't working of available but everything else works fine except the BT.
I found out a couple of days ago there are a couple other people having a similar problem. I called HTC and they are aware theres a BT problem and are working on a fix which could take weeks. I dont know how I would get this fix since my phone is S-on. Another senior member has told me I can get S-off on the phone since I have 1.12 Hboot. I will be reading up on how to properly do that but was also told that that wouldn't have anything to do with the BT. I see it as being able to get updates, fixes and other stuff I have read about 'S-off'
After reading online, I found something about fixing bluetooth with logcat but didn't quite understand it. I do have an app on my phone now called aLogcat but do not know how to use it. I also went through the Play store and came across an app called 'rSAP- Bluetooth SIM Access Profile'. I then read the reviews and it sounded like the fix. Instead of spendingt the $12.49, I downloaded the trial version. An error came up "System file library not found. Is the an HTC/Samsung phone?" with no means to reply. The first clue about the problem is that the BT system files are not there, empty or blocked somehow. The only other things I can think of are:
Finding a stock rom, downloading/ flashing latest stock RUU.
Finding and copying the bluetooth system files from a friends evo 4G LTE phone that is a couple months newer.
I will be contacting my BT headset manufacturer and see if I can find out what should be on the phone for files since HTC wont or dosen't know what they are. Is there anyone out there in the developement world that may know how to access and copy the BT software on the phone or have any answers or suggestions moving forward???
Thanks in advance for any info,
TJ
in the same situation!
Ok anybody have any ideas? My Bluetooth stopped working as well on the last couple of builds of cm10. I tried restarting normally, also by holding the power button for ten seconds, clearing cache, clearing dalvik cache, I've restored a nandroid, and even got desperate and completely changed kernels and ROM OVER to mean ROM. OH and tried fixing permissions. It seems like the original post said, the files aren't just plain there! I cannot find anything on the web so far that allows you to flash a specific "Bluetooth installer". Please help if you got any ideas! Thanks!

In order to do so I nees to lock the bootloader. I cannot get the bootloader locked! Idownloaded the sdk tools theyre installed. When connecting my phonew in bootloader mode through the usb it does not show up on my pc. I rebooted the phone then connected, selected disk drive, then booted into bootloader. Of course during the switch my pc chimed a disconnect sound then a connect sound.so it dropped my connection through disk drive thus blockng me from accessing my phone through the bootloader on the pc. I have spent 4 hours at this this evening so I can return this piece of crap back to spint and I cant even relocked it...Whats even worse is when going to my c drive on my pc there is no android sdk file at the top....Any suggestions?

Hello everyone.
I need your help.
My htc one m8 It reboot every so often (say google play has stopped, gmail has stopped ... etc.), for that reason would like to restore the data factory, but to try from the options, I get a red triangle with exclamation and hence fails. Not restored.
After entering the recovery that brings factory, give the option to hard reset and back out the red triangle, not restored. Then I open the recovery, I wipe and restart and is not cleared anything. Do not know how to do.
My HTC one M8 is AT & T version, android 4.4.2, HTC Sense 6.0, not root.
Sortware number 1.12.502.18
HTC level API SDK 6.17
All a factory reset does is wipes user data (/data partition) and doesn't "restore" or affect the ROM (operating system) in any way. Are you saying that factory reset from stock recovery doesn't even do that, and your personal data (personalized settings, apps, etc.) is still on the phone?
You can also try to RUU, which will completely re-image the phone's software. In particular, your software number is very obsolete (from the phone's release almost a year ago). This alone (old software) shouldn't be causing the reboot issue. But a RUU may help if the software is somehow damaged. And will also bring your software up to date.
I have same problem. Phone keeps crashing and reboot. Tried soft reset, hard reset, factory restore through fastboot, flashing RUU. Nothing worked. Everytime it restarts it returns to the same state.
When I tried to flash RUU it restarted and thus backed to the previous crashing state.
any idea?

Did the RUU actually install fully and successfully, or just restart (or any error messages, if so what was the error message)?
Which RUU exactly?
this RUU
RUU_M8_UL_L50_SENSE60_ATT_MR_Cingular_US_4.28.502.8
There was no error message, it just restarted when I clicked start. It was on fastboot mode. Couldn't do it on mobile mode.

Before we get started, I'll list what I've done. I've....
Factory reset the watch, I've reset the watch after it was factory reset. I've disabled and re-enabled Bluetooth on my phone (An HTC One M8) restarted it, re-enabled bluetooth, attempted to connect (Via Android Wear, of course) after everything is reset. I've done this in every imaginable order. I've even tried to connect via phone bluetooth. (not through Android Wear.)
I've also tried to go through all of my apps that might access anything bluetooth related; nothing. I've ALSO ALSO gone through my apps to clear the cache on everything that might be related to it.
I said "Screw it!" and I did a factory reset, which was hard for me to do. Nothing. Same error. Tried all of the above AFTER the factory reset. Nothing.
Then I went back to the beginning and I upgraded my ROM. (Skydragon 6.1 GPe) Nothing.
I did all of the above after re-installing that ROM. Nothing.
I went back to the recovery and wiped the cache/dalvik and just re-installed the ROM. Again, nothing.
Obviously, as we all know, you don't actually type anything in, you just verify the number, so there's no way I could have messed the code up.
Anyway, at this point, I'm out of ideas. If I remember something that I didn't put on here, I'll edit my post.
Anyone have any ideas?
